He's very informative and makes you feel comfortable.

They told us to arrive 20 mins before appointment time, but, NO ONE came in to check on us after placing us for an hour and 10 mins. Dr. Settecerri was not personable with us at all, he was a "know it all" and told us that the brace that HE suggested for our son for his scoliosis 3 years was not going to help and that he needed surgery, now. Because we hadn't been there for 3 years, he basically said we were bad parents because we didn't come back. The doctor said he would give us UofM hospital number, did not come back after we waited for 10 mins. Told us he was going to give us an MRI script, he did not tell us to pick it up at there "non check out window." On top of all that, he asked us if we had any questions, then his phone rang with a "whipping" sound, and he looked and replied to the text after asking if we had questions. He did not reply to us at all. I WILL NOT be back to him or the office.

Great doctor very friendly staff

Everyone was so warm and welcoming. My kid got her hand fracture they answer all our questions and were very patient through out! The doctors and resident on duty are knowledgeable and very detailed in the observation! Will definitely recommend to anyone

After being to urgent care and the ER first, Dr. Settecerri was able to diagnose and fix the problem! Thank you for helping my toddler

He's a nice guy things moved quickly in and out.

Excellent and knows his stuff. Very easy to discuss things with.

Dr. Settecerri did an amazing job on my daughters spinal fusion to correct her (severe 64* curve) scoliosis. Her quality of life has improved drastically. Dr. Settecerri is straight to the point, walks you through every interval, is highly accommodating and his staff is incredibly responsive both pre and post-op! I only wish we would have started our scoliosis journey with him from the beginning. You are in good hands with Dr. Settecerri!

Dr Settecceri was my sons doctor 23 years ago after he was diagnosed with Legg perthes disease. Everyone I went to up until Dr Settecceri wanted to fuse my son’s leg into the socket. My son was almost 7 at the time. He talked to me about his plan and successfully treated my now 30 year old son so that he has complete mobility of his legs and has not had any need for a hip replacement. For those of you that do not know that disease, it caused the ball joint of my son’s leg to die due to lack of blood flow and and it broke off. Instead of fusing his leg so he could have no movement , he pinned his leg and casted it so the ball would grow back round and still be able to rotate. It was AMAZING then snd continues to be!! Don’t be complaining about the wait times…. He is a miracle worker!

He took very good care of my son at this visit. He was thorough and easy to understand.

I recently broke my tibia and Dr. Settecerri was amazing, he treated me and my family with respect and performed the surgery amazingly. I am very happy with the Doctor and I recommend him absolutely!

Total douche bag! Don’t go to him for anything! He recommend surgery on my young daughters ankles right away, without any other thought of therapy first. Then proceeded to tell me if he cut too much of her tendons that she’d walk like a duck…. And that he’s only human, mistakes happen. Like who says that??? My 5 year old son broke his arm. We were referred to settecerri by the hospital to have a permanent cast put on his arm. We said ok as we are in town to visit family and don't know the area well as we live in Texas currently stationed at Fort Hood. We are a military family of 12 years with the army. The dr had zero interest in listening to our concerns nor was he interested in doing his job. He made the executive decision to not recast my sons arm to spare him the trauma of the cast saw against our repeated request to recast the arm but rather he threw 3 straps medical tape on his temporary cast and said tell the kid to not touch the tape. Here we are not even 24 hours later and we lost 1/3 of the tape in his sleep. I called when my husband came home with our son with the taped cast on his arm. I tried to get answers as to why the decision was made to not recast him. He became very short, patronizing, and condescending with me. He ended our call with "if you're not satisfied with the cast ill redo the cast on Friday and the kid can choose what ever color he wants Byyyeee" then he hung up on me without me getting another word in. We are currently in the waiting room, they have a white board that gets updated with how far behind scheduled appts are, its 90min behind ur scheduled appt time. Must be good when youre regularly an hour late for scheduled appt, but require cooay at check in ??. When you call the office youre not actually calling the office its an off site call center without a prompt to talk to the front desk. Hopefully his highness is worth all the bs

I am an RN of 17 years.I am familiar with logistics inside and out of hospitals systems. This being the third time my son broke his arm, (loves outdoor activities including skateboarding and trampolines), I'm familiar with what to expect. I was highly disappointed with the Michigan Orthopedic staff Katie and Sara on Monday 7/26/21. It took three hours with three different staff taking my information. When i finally did get an appointment, they told me the time and day- not offering me a choice(I work full time). They also took a condescending tone with me when i voiced my concerns. Condescending, lacking manners, making my daughter and I uncomfortable with his comments. I would not recommend Dr Settecerri to anyone. My daughter was recommended by her Pediatrist to see Dr. Settecerri because she said my daughter's hips were turned in and it was part of the issue she was having with her feet. He had her walk down the hall and back, we went into the room and he said she had no hip issues, it was just her compensating for the foot issues. Well, five years later, and we find out that her hips and lower spine are the real reason for her feet, back and hip problems, not the other way around as he said, after just having her walk the hall one time. Completely misdiagnosed the issues! 17 years ago he gave me surgery when I was 5 and had a broken leg and I’m 22 now and I’m doin good

Dr. Settecerri has met all of my expectations and more. Very knowledgeable and smart, he goes above and beyond for his patients. He’s always a phone call or text away. He cares so much that on Christmas Eve I had to take my little one to the ER where he wasn’t on call and he decided to show up on his own to make sure she was okay. The staff at the office are great also. He’s a great surgeon and I’m so happy my 16 month old is in great hands. Dr. Settecerri has met all of my expectations and more. He is rude and does not care about his patients. Took little to no history gave no explanation and mocked and criticized when we asked questions. Save your children and find a provider who cares.

Rude dr I didn’t like him and he orderd the Wrong mri for my daughter,,, it supposed to be for a right knee and he ordered the left knee,,, that’s telling you how he cares about his patients

My daughter broke both of her arms, the right one is the elbow and the the left is Humerus. Both were very bad and she was in severe pain. Anyways, when were in ER, the hospital suggested to see Dr. Settecerri. They were fast when they took us in which is that is a plus! I met the Dr. he was cold and didn’t talk much, I kept asking questions and he expected me to know things from the look he was giving. Anyways that’s not the point but he made an AWFUL decision he decided to unwrap one of my daughter hand which is the elbow that was broken!! I was super surprised!!!! He said she’s all good to go and the elbow is healed.. I said how can the elbow be healed after 2 days???! I got home my daughter still couldn’t move her elbow she was crying so much from pain. So, I decided to take her to DMC hospital the next day. I explained to DMC Dr. why I am here. They took an X-ray and found out that both of her hand are broken. The dr and the nurses were in shocked because Dr settecerri made that decision. I have never experienced such rude, cold and uncaring behavior in a doctors office. Dr. Settecerri was condescending and dismissive. Even his facial expressions and body language gave the impression that he couldn’t be bothered. He did not offer even one suggestion that might help her, other than to say that “maybe she isn’t cut out for the sport she’s in” We left the appointment with my daughter in tears, crying our entire drive home! I called the office today to schedule an appointment. I spoke with a receptionist that was very helpful. My situation was a bit different and she stayed on the phone with me for 20 minutes to help find the right answer. I was put on hold twice, but it was because she wanted to find the right answer for me, which I appreciated.

The doctor is good but getting to him is nearly impossible. The residents clinic does not answer phones or take messages. Then our cast was too tight and we had to get it removed that same night. What a freaking mess.

Performed surgery on my daughter's ankle. Surgery was successful but follow up visit was bad experience. Very brief, no time for questions. After taking boot of ankle doctor said she can't exercise but didn't say for how long. Tried to call office twice but could not reach anyone. Left a message but no response.

Had My son in today to check his scoliosis. The doctor was very professional and sensitive. Did a very nice job. Very happy!

My husband and I took our 4 year old in today and not only were we in and out in less than an hour, he was very polite. My son enjoyed him and even took a pic with him. He explained everything and answered all questions. As an ER Nurse myself, 3 of the doctors I work with also referred him as well as many others. Very happy! Although not happy he needs surgery but that’s not his fault.

My 13 yr old daughter had spinal fusion surgery done by Dr. Settecari in July 2017. He is an excellent doctor and we are very happy with her results.

Very good explaining the condition of my son after a ski accident, what he proposed to do to fix a fractured fema, and had my son in surgery within 20 hrs of the accident. His staff, Dr Murray (anesthesiologist), Phil, Catherine, and Lori worked like a refined orchestra @Beaumont in Royal Oak!

Dr. Settecerri was caring and kind during the entire process of my daughter's back surgery and did a wonderful job. Great doctor who truly cares about his patients.

Worst experience ever! My teen and I were relieved to find the cause of her excruciating back pain. When no fractures were found, Settecerri became SO rude and condescending. Every appointment worse than the last. He openly acted as if she were lying. She ended up in the ER, I begged for an MRI, which he ordered but said she didn't need a follow-up appointment!? We found another specialist who saw her the day after the MRI. THREE DEGENERATED DISCS! His office never called to discuss the report!

When I called the office, I explained what my daughter needed to be seen for, they informed me that Dr Settecerri could help. With waiting 1 1/2 hours to actually see the doctor, he spent 5 minutes with us. No apology for the wait. Then received patient summary report, he stated he had a "lengthy" discussion. Which is very inaccurate! He informed us there is nothing to do for my daughter. I wish the office staff was aware before wasting my time. Not a good first impression at all with the doc.

After seeing several doctors whose prognosis was all over the place, we were referred to Dr. Settecerri. His demeanor and professionalism, along with how he explained our test results were outstanding. His ability to connect and communicate with my teenage daughter provided a welcoming environment and took the edge off of discussing such a delicate and frightening experience she was undergoing. My daughter ended up having surgery preformed by him and his great team. I recommend him to anyone

We had very good experience with him. Treated my son's arm fracture, came in and pinned it Saturday night. Good outcomes. Polite. Busy doctor and busy office. Recommended highly.

He is very arrogant and abrupt. He has terrible bedside manner and made me feel rushed and I am a fast paced person. I have heard he is a great surgeon, but he was rude and sarcastic on several occasions dealing with my child's fracture which needed surgery. If there is another good surgeon, such as Dr. Zalt, I would choose him if possible next time. I would never want to have him again as my surgeon if I had the choice going forward.
