My husband had a quadruple bypass with Dr. Schwartz and their staff. I have been working in health insurance since 1999 and when I tell you they are the easiest office to deal with and respond to your questions. Not only was it a successful surgery, but every time I call I speak with either the NP or nurse. I have never had to leave a message for a return call. They are AWESOME!!!!! Yes, absolutely. Dr. Schwartz removed a myxoma in the left atrium of my soulmate, John's about 20 years ago. He saved his life. May God Bless you, Dr. Schwartz.

We found Dr. Schwartz to be very experienced and very personable. He took time to explain things in great detailed and this was very helpful.

Back in Dec my experience with my surgery was excellent and care after as well. My follow up visit this week went great as expected.

A very positive experience. Everyone I encounter at Loyola is so upbeat and helpful. It is very different from other hospitals I have visited. Also very efficient. For the last three years, my annual visits have always started on time- or early!

I always find Dr. Schwartz to be outstanding in every way. I have no complaints with him; however, scheduled tests leading up to seeing the doctor were a total disaster! I had a 9 a.m. appointment for a CT; a 10 a.m. appointment for an echo and a 10:30 a.m. appointment with Dr. Schwartz. The CT wasn't completed until 11 a.m. (2 hours). By the time the echo was completed it was noon before I saw the doctor. Their scheduling needs revising. I give Dr. Schwartz 5 stars but other appointments one star. Getting the appt, and check in were easy and efficient. MA’s and nurses were pleasant, thorough. Dr Schwartz explained everything to my mom, including what the surgery could do, what it couldn’t do, and the risk involved. He laid out exactly what preop tests he wanted and why he wanted them. He has a professional but Kind disposition and a confident, but not arrogant manner. Qualities you don’t see too often in surgeons. Very happy to give him a good review!! 9 yrs. ago when my husband was transferred to the heart transplant unit, Dr. Schwartz suggested an aortic valve replacement. At that time, Dr. Schwartz was prepared to use a ventricular assist device as a bridge to transplant. Due to Dr. Schwartz's expertise, it wasn't needed, and today, my husband has normal valve function with only the valve replacement. Dr. Schwartz is an excellent surgeon who saved my husband's life.

Dr Schwartz is professional, compassionate, and very skilled in his field. He spends time to explain things and doesn't rush you out of the office. I am so grateful this surgeon was recommended to me. Staff and other doctors have also told me I was in good hands and I really was.
