Dr. Jeffrey Vincent Nielsen

I am a past patient. Thirty years ago Dr Nielsen did my bowl obstruction surgery; today I am 70 years old and have not forgotten how he cared for me made sure all went well after surgery!!! Just wanted to say: Thank You!

Had a double lumpectomy. Lumps are gone, but procedure was poorly executed. Scars sizing are extremely larger than they should be and was given poor advice from the doctor on one of the lumps. After explaining that I was unhappy with the results he was short with me and had a plastic surgeon come speak with me. By reading other reviews now I see that his methods are old fashioned and I can say the same with my procedure.

I’m sure he’s an excellent surgeon. I’ve had 2 lumpectomies in one week. I’ve seen him twice. At first appointment and before 2ond surgery he poked his head in my doorway and said surgery would be an hour late. Post Surgical follow up I saw his assistant. Maybe this is common. Maybe someday I’ll actually be able to talk to him.

Had an unnecessary procedure done by this horrible what he calls him self of a surgeon~ opened me up from chest to lower abdomen, he said he found nothing and did nothing ,, I missed 6 weeks of work and was in a ton of pain, because of his poor judgement ! Found out after the fact he could have done what is called Diagnostic Laparoscopy where they go in with a scope and camera and would have had lot less pain also , I could have had it done by the robot and only off work for a few day, with two or three tiny scars! But this jerk is old fashion and doesn't do modern procedures !

My appt was very quick from check in to check out. Would highly recommend Dr Nielsen.

Horrible bed-side manner. Did not even tell me he repaired my husband's umbilical hernia when he was in there to remove his ruptured appendix. We did know my husband had a hiatal hernia, so when I heard from my husband that the dr repaired his hernia I thought it was the hiatal hernia. When I questioned Dr. Nielsen about it, his comment to me was, "Would have you rather'd I didn't???" Please don't mouth off to the patient's loved ones. Instead maybe explain what you did and why.

I was referred to him from the ultrasound doctor. I'm not aware of doctors or surgeons in the area but I'm very pleased with him.
