I found Dr Meynig to be a wonderful surgeon. My recovery from surgery was smooth and pain free. The orientation of the incision was done in a way to maximize my mobility and minimize strain! However, what I appreciate the most was the great job he did communicating to me in the consult. I had early stage malignant melanoma and he walked me through how it occurs, the severity or lack there of, the process of removal, test result confirmation, and future prevention/detection. Also, I found his office staff to be equally wonderful. Very friendly, helpful and compassionate! Overall, just an awesome experience in a difficult time!

Dr. Meynig is professional yet concerned with your mental well-being, going the extra mile to keep you informed and well cared for. In my experience he is an exception.

Dr. Meynig operated on my husband years back. He made a terrible mistake by accidentally cutting an arthery while operating on an inguinal hernia. Dr. Meynig wanted to remove one of his testicles because he was afraid he was going to get a call in the middle of the night for an emergency operation. We dismissed Dr. Meynig and called a real good surgeon who fixed the problem right away without removing it. My husband recovered and has been fine ever since. I was referred to Dr Meynig from my General Practitioner for Hernia treatment. Dr Meynig was friendly and did an excellent job checking the areas in question and explaining my options in regards to surgery and the differences in procedures. I opted for the laparoscopic surgery option and scheduled the surgery. While doing this, the staff noticed I had not met my deductible for the current year and were able to move my surgery up so it would be 100% covered instead of taking a hit early in the year. On the day of surgery Dr Meynig and the staff did an excellent job of making me feel comfortable and explaining all the steps and procedures. During the surgery he found an abnormality and was able to remove it safely and complete the hernia repair. They also did an excellent job of keeping my girlfriend updated during the procedure. I cannot begin to explain how greatfull I am for DR. Meynig. I had a “nasty” ruptured appendix, he stopped by every single day to check on me, he would sit down and take his time with me assuring everything was always covered and the proper treatment was in place. Dr Meynig has done 2 surgeries for me and one for my nephew. We was very thorough in his initial consultation and explanations. The surgery appointments went great and the healing better than I anticipated. I have a long background in the health field and know what to look for. I’m a caregiver for an eighty year old patient of Dr. Meynig. He is the best surgeon. He was so kind, compassionate and professional. He performed gallbladder surgery on her. She went home the same day and is doing great! If I ever need surgery I know who I’m going to. He is the best.

I've had the privilege of being a long-term patient of Dr. Meynig's for about 22 years. He's thorough, he answer's all questions, he's honest through and through, and he explains procedure's and even draws diagrams to help patients better understand the medical process. Dr. Meynig is an exceptional surgeon. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. MEYNIG. His staff is top notch staff as well.

I was referred to Dr. Jeffrey Meynig for a hernia repair. Dr. Meynig really friendly, funny, and put me at ease before my surgery. He answered all my questions, took time to ensure I was comfortable, and had some great jokes to put me at ease. My surgery went great and they provided me with everything I needed to recover over the next couple of weeks. The staff was extremely friendly and really made me feel special. Dr. Meynig is an excellent surgeon and a friendly man. He explains procedures clearly, and he has a good sense of humor. I've seen him for two surgeries, and I will ask for him again.

I was in Austin Tx when I became sick. My plan was to go back to Maryland for Surgery, where I reside fulltime. However, after meeting Dr. Meynig there was no doubt he was the surgeon for me. It was the best decision I made! Dr. Meynig is OUTSTANDING and I would fly anywhere for him. My recovery was the easiest I've ever experienced. He's not only the BEST SURGEON I've had, but he makes you feel like you have a friend by your side from start to finish! Go see Dr. Meynig, you owe it to yourself!!

Dr. Meynig took time to explain & show me what the pros/cons of a lumpectomy vs.a mastectomy. Going into this dilemma I did not know what decision to make concerning my cancer & he took time to give me accurate information.And, generally cared that I took care of the issue.
