Jeffrey Koempel

I took my daughter to Dr. Jeffrey Koempel a few months ago for a tongue tie. Dr. Koempel was extremely nice, patient, and informative. He was very kind and friendly with my daughter. I highly recommend him.

We had been struggling to find a good doctor for my daughter for 4 years. When we found him and we were able to make an appointment with him we were super happy. We visited him in his Valencia office , staffs are super nice, hard working and very organized, I can not imagine taking my daughter to another doctor other than him and I accept every word that comes out of his mouth with all my heart and soul. thank you Doctor for all your efforts. Dr. Koempel is one of the most caring, professional people I have ever met. He diagnosed my daughter when two other hospitals could not and treated us with the utmost care. I have 2 kids 6 and 4 years respectively, so I have seen a lot of pediatric doctors and can say with confidence that Dr. Koempel is the least caring doctor I have seen. When my son was barely 2 years old, we took him to Dr. Koempel 3 times for adenoid surgery consultation and all 3 times he did a comprehensive ear, nose, throat examination. Eventually, per his advice, we scheduled a surgery. It was a big decision for us because we had to put him through general anesthesia and that may be risky for 2 year old kids. We shared these reservations with Dr. Koempel and he knew that we were struggling. Finally, we decided to do the surgery because our son was not breathing well and that was a risk, too. When Dr. Koempel came out of the surgery room, among other things he causally mentioned that our son's tonsils are enlarged, too. Somehow he missed it 3 times examining him in the prior month! And, he said, he would have removed the tonsils, but since it was not on the consent form he did not. And he knew that both parents were standing outside during the surgery! He could have EASILY come out, share with us that he had missed the tonsils and ask for a consent to remove these as well. Instead, he just casually mentioned it at the end. My son is still not breathing normally at night and after showing him to a number of other doctors we now have to put him through another general anesthesia to remove the tonsils. A few years ago I took my daughter to Dr. Koempel for a broken nose. He saw her, SAID SHE WAS OKAY, took my money -- because I paid out-of-pocket-- then sent us on our way.
