Dr. Heitmann is one of the most trusted, knowledgeable and professional doctor in SW Florida. He has been my doctor for over twenty years. I never have any complaints.

Dr.Heitmann delivered my first son in a highly stressful environment with more patience and grace than any doctor I've seen! He is wonderful, answers questions thoroughly, and I trust him implicitly!!

My review keeps getting deleted. His office staff has even less "bedside manner" than he does. They let me wait a month for surgery only to call me the night before my preop appointment to tell me my portion due. $500 I needed to come up with in 24 hours. The reception staff asked me if I could charge it to a Credit Card or borrow it from a family member. Both priveledges I do not have. They had all sorts of ideas for me to come up witb the money but when I asked if I could pay half of it that night and the other half at the beginning of the next week before the scheduled surgery they refuse and were completely inflexible on getting me care. Dr. Heitmann wouldn't even give me a phone conuslt in that alloted appointment time to direct me on pain management in the meantime. I have never felt more like a dollar sign and less like a patient than I have at this place. Spending hundreds of dollars to see doctor only to get home that very day and learn of your test results that they obviously had at the appointment, but instead their confusing patient portal delivered the results is not acceptable. I then waited over 5 weeks for an elective surgery to diagnose and potentially curtail the debilitating pain I've been experiencing. The only person that showed compassion for my pain was one nurse. When I was referred to Dr. Heitman for the surgery I waited 5 weeks after our initial consult. 5 weeks I laid at home in pain only to be called 24 hours before my surgery consult and informed I needed to come up with my portion of the bill ($500 approximately) by the next day at 1pm. When I explained that was too short of notice for me to come up with that kind of money the woman in the billing department first blamed me for the short notice and then asked if I could borrow the money from a family member or put it on a credit card. I then asked if I could pay the consult portion that day and come up with the rest of the money before the surgery next week. Apparently that is not their policy so they canceled my consult and the surgery altogether. I then asked if I could at least conference with Dr. Heitman about what steps to take in the meantime during our allotted appointment/ consult time and the woman on the phone basically laughed a me and told me no. The only follow up I've had from this place has been about money and never about my well being. I have never felt more like a dollar sign and less like a patient than I have at this place. The reason I had to find a new gynecologist is because the one I’ve had for almost ten years is moving away. It was scary for me because he knew all about me and my history with everything. After relocating from GA, Dr Heitman was highly recommended by a family member. I’ve been a patient for over a little over two years. I came to him with the desire to conceive after two failed pregnancies. Dr Heitman was very knowledgeable, informative, & he contributed to the success of my three pregnancy. We recently gave birth to a healthy baby girl at the end of March 2021. Our entire process was great from the pregnancy to the delivery room. I couldn’t be happier with Dr Heitman, he is witty & took his time to answer any questions my husband & I had during our pregnancy. I’ve always felt comfortable & confident that my health & well-being was important to him. I would certainly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, knowledgeable, experienced OBGYN with a funny sense of humor any day. We definitely loved our experience with Dr Heitman and look forward to baby number two with him in the near future.

I have been seeing Dr. Heitmann for at least 12 years or more! He was originally recommended to me by another amazing doctor in town. Dr. Heitmann also delivered my son and I had a seamless recovery. After seeing 2 other doctors in another state who both misdiagnosed my problem I made an appointment with Dr Heitmann as I had recently moved to Florida. He was very professional and through. He found that I had cancer which ultimately saved my life as the other doctors I had seen brushed me off as having an infection. Their medications did nothing to help me. Dr Heitmann put me on the path to recovery. I am forever grateful.
