Dr. Jeffrey Chang

Dr. Chang is a wonderful person and doctor! He has performed surgery on me on tow different occasions - repaired a hole in my macular, and removed a cataract - both with great result! He is friendly, and amazing, and a Top-Notch Ophthalmologist!

I saw Dr. Change for treatment of my macular degeneration which had progressed to wet macular degeneration not long after cataract surgery.On my 1st visit for my 1st ever eye injection I was left sitting in a cubicle for 21/2 hours as you can imagine my anxiety level escalated the longer I waited.When I complained was told "all retinal Drs. are busy."denied overbooking but on my 2nd visit I was kept waiting for 2 hours when I complained bitterly Dr Chang pushed my next injection out from 1 month to 6 weeks only to find my condition was worse and scheduled next visit for 1 month. Luckily I was able to get a second opinion before I was to see him again. In less than 3 weeks I had a large pigment epithelial detachment(a condition that happens when layers of cells behind your eye come apart or detach) and a large amount of subretinal fluid. Not only should my treatment not have been pushed out as my condition was in no way stable but Medication he was injecting was not effective and I was immediately switched to Eylea. I had pain,pressure,air bubbles floating in my eye,a feeling of grit in my eyes and headaches from days after injections with Dr. Chang, no such symptoms with new Dr. If you are being treated by Dr Chang you might want a 2nd opinion to ensure you are receiving the best treatment for you.

I took my elderly father for a consultation about potentially having surgery. Dr. Chang was extremely thoughtful and took all the time necessary to make sure my father understood his options.

Highly recommend Dr. Chang. My husband had a detached retina and Dr. Chang repaired successfully. He takes time to listen to his patients, very knowledgeable.

Dr. Chang, correctly diagonal my problem as CSR, after another doctor at Lahey incorrectly had diagnosed my problem as Wet AMD and had given me an injection in my eye, even Mass Eye and Ear had me diagnosed with wet AMD when I sought third opinion, they wanted to do a hot laser. I was confused, Dr. Chang walked me through and helped me with fourth opinion, which confirmed his diagnosis, the treatment was to do nothing, He was right. my problem went away on it's own. He is smart.
