Dr. Jeff Hales is a consummate professional, an expert in his field of pulmonology, and as kind and considerate as a physician could possibly be. Every time I go to his office, I am made to feel comfortable, and my blood pressure, when it’s taken, is usually the best it is in any doctor’s office. That experience says it all about his practice. Because I am asthmatic, I am given a yearly 50-minute breathing test. The test is somewhat stressful, but because of the two technicians, Greg in the Virginia Hospital Center Office (Arlington), and Julie in the Falls Church Office, I have little trouble taking it. They are my cheerleaders, and I can honestly say it gives me an enormous advantage over what it did several years ago, when the technician was a fearsome drill sargeant who actually frightened me. (That person did not last very long in that office!) I am very thankful to have a pulmonologist such as Dr. Hales so close to my home! I would recommend him to anyone who needs this type of specialist. And he was recommended to me by my former gynecologist (now retired). That says something about the respect he has among his peers. Dr Hales was very patient thorough and personable . I’m from California and ended up in the hospital with pneumonia. Dr Hales gave me great medical care! Thank you

Dr. Hales...has been tremendously helpful! Excellent advice and has been great in communicating the issues and solutions clearly and simply. He and his team have been instrumental in my dad's speedy recovery.

Dr Hales is a very special Dr I met him in the emergency room and he has been my Dr since. He will go out of his way to help a patient with all his resources. He is a very good listner and very calm. Explains in details and very resonable he even goes out of his way to make sure you don't pay too much for your medication. I recommend him to anybody that needs his speciality. Thank you!

Dr. Hales is a breath of fresh air (no pun intended) in the rush rush get the patients in and out world that medicine has become. Easy wait time in the office, nice staff and took the time to discuss and explain what was needed

An excellent listener. Explains medical condition carefully. Very personable. Takes all of the time necessary to make a patient feel cared about. Couldn't better!
