Dr Chapa was very short, and didnt do any type of exam. October 20th 2018 I went to the hospital due to some leakage, and contracting, I was only 23weeks6days. They did an exam that night and discovered I was already 2cm dilated, and 50% thinned out. They wanted to keep me for observation, and to see the best doctor they had, so they said. During the night they did nothing for me at all, I was not hooked up to anything, they only took my blood pressure once throughout the night. The nurse said the doctor was planning a cervical exam, and may want to sew the cervix shut. That morning Dr Chapa came in and dismissed me completely, he was going to send me home right away, until the nurse suggested he do a cervix check. He checked me and said I was still 2cm dilated, but he tried to tell me my cervix was still long, when the ob the night before stated it was short, especially short for my gestational age. He sent me home with no instructions, besides no sex. I got home at 10am, and by 4pm I was in full blown preterm labor, I almost had one of the twins at home. By the grace of God I made it to the hospital in time to delivere my twins. I feel if he had took the time to correctly do his job, it could have been avoided for a few more days at least. I ended up having 24 week twins, one in which Passed at 19 days old. I love fairview hospital, but I hateevery thing about the high risk triage they have. Even the ob and nurse that cared for me that night were very unprofessional, and made me feel stupid, by trying to tell me I was indeed not contracting. Although I see he got a bad review, Dr. Chapa is a great doctor you can tell he has the best interest for his patient. Also he sat down talked with me and really helped my nerves with being sent over to the hospital with high blood pressure and 33 weeks pregnant I couldnt recommend him enough.

Dr. Chapa has been a God send. I have been battling a chronic disease and have had to have a feeding tube placed. I had spent over 30 days in the high risk OB unit at fairview already this year. I'm 30 weeks now and have 100% trust in Dr. Chapa. I wish he could be my doctor for everything! Bedside manor is great, he is book smart and still a real person. He is not judgemental, nor does he have one mean bone in his body like a lot of the doctors I've seen do. I wish I could make everyone looking for a Maternal Fetal Medicine Doc go to him! For insurance reasons, I had to switch half way through my pregnancy to Dr. Chapa. He is AMAZING! He explained everything and always made me feel important and listened to. He performed my C-section and it was, again, amazing. The pain was minimal and I was up and walking 8 hours later, and I felt back to normal by day 5 after surgery. 10/10. Would highly recommend this doctor!!

Dr. Chapa is genuinely concerned about our situation. He explains things well and remains honest and realistic while striving for best outcome possible. Very trustworthy
