The doctor was abrupt, didn’t show me my x-ray or respond to my questions and in my opinion was disrespectful. He spent very little time with me. His diagnosis of arthritis was in fact erroneous as confirmed by another orthopedic surgeon whose advice I sought as a second opinion, which I’m very glad I did as I now have a course of action to deal with the real cause of my pain & condition. The very fact that Dr. Guiboux’s diagnosis was entirely wrong is quite disturbing in itself as I might have subjected myself to unnecessary surgery.

Dr Guiboux and Jessica, his medical assistant are the greatest. Very kind and empathetic. Dr. Guiboux explained everything he would be doing during surgery and made sure I was comfortable. Everything went just as described. Would 100% recommend Dr. Guiboux.

Dr. Guiboux is rude and arrogant with terrible bedside manner. He always seems to be in a hurry and interrupts when trying to ask questions. Office staff are also unpleasant with exception of therapists. Would not recommend.

I have had two surgeries for carpel tunnel and had excellent results. Office staff is friendly and professional.

Don't go to MI Hand and Wrist if you expect good treatment. First, at my appt with Dr. Jean-Paul Guiboux, he met with me 10 min to tell me I had a condition in my thumb, he failed to review my x-ray with me, and then to top it off the office charged me $200 to be fitted for a wrist brace. The fitting took less than 10 min and I later found out I could have purchased the brace for $14 on Amazon and easily followed the instructions to fit it myself. I tired to have the charge removed but was denied. I paid, but felt it important to let people know that this place is a rip off.

Poor outcome after carpal tunnel surgery. Problem is now worse than before surgery. Office seems more interested in money than in patient outcomes.

Discussed pain management and was told in no entertain terms he would not prescribe anything for pain. Basically take otc and was on my own. Had to self medicate with alcohol for the pain. Will not go back.

Went to see the doctor about a digital mucous cyst on my right thumb. He was rushing me, not listening, quick to recommend surgery, and extruded liquid from the cyst knowing that it would fill up again as soon as i left the office. And, it did. What’s wrong with these doctors? I had to pay $200 out of pocket for NOTHING! He was so quick to say come back if the cyst fills back up. He already knew it would. I’m not going back because I felt taken advantage of. $$$ is that all you think about?

Money hungry clown. Defensive. Poor communicator. Told me the post op swelling was a disease and not "his fault" and charged me for office visit on 91st day post-op (appointment made on 85th day). The swelling went down over time and wasn't a disease. I've heard that he is rough when you are under, which explains the extra swelling. Stay away.

Dr. Guiboux performed surgery on me for basil joint arthritis. The surgery went very well and I had very little post-op pain. The incisions twelve weeks later are barely visible. With the PT his office provided I have almost completely regained all function in my hand. I would highly recommend him.

My husband and I have been patients on and off for years(we both have arthritis and occasional injuries). Dr. Guiboux has provided excellent care. He explains everything in an easy to understand way. He gives you options and recommendations. I read some of the other reviews and see that the people that weren't happy is because they have to pay money. It's healthcare- it ain't free. Even though he is a Doctor he provides a service. It costs money- Insurance or my own. He's worth it!!

Unfavorable outcome on surgery which left nerve damage. Sent to collection for $3 after paying hundreds out of pocket. Arrogant with a terrible bedside manner.

Pushed through as a number. Had to wait over an hour in the room for Dr. Guiboux to come in. Nurse forgot to get the medical history information until 5 mins before he came in. Dr. was quick, non-caring, didn't care to answer other questions

He used to be a nice guy but only cares about getting paid these days. Too bad.
