Dr. Rao is very knowledgeable, kind & very caring. She’s worked very closely with me to determine why my hemoglobin & iron levels were so high. She discussed my hereditary factors & provided solutions to remedy my issues. I enjoy having her as my doctor & have full confidence in her abilities.

In my experience over the past eight months, I have found Dr Rao to be a caring, intelligent physician that truly understands the concept of not only treating the cancer growing inside the patient but treating each patient as an individual with unique circumstances and needs. She understands that cancer care should not operate as an automatic equation but rather as an interactive process that is dispensed on a customized basis with the patient's input. Her dedication to providing the best possible care for the patient is evident in her aggressive approach, tireless work ethic, and availability to her patients. In my opinion, choosing DR Rao as the primary physician to treat and management my cancer diagnosis was the single best decision that I've made.

I traveled from Louisiana looking for a good oncologist after having reoccurring breast cancer 4 times and not being satisfied with the care I was receiving. Dr. Rao was extremely empathetic and jumped right into action running tests and scans, setting me up with surgeons with an urgency that made me feel like my healthcare mattered. After receiving my results she started me on a treatment plan using caution to make sure it was a good fit for me. As of today my cancer markers has gone down and I feel confident that this treatment plan will end with me being cancer free. I highly recommend Dr. Rao and her team.

I started seeing Dr. Rao since October 2021. She is an amazing doctor. My first impression of her was that she is genuine and caring. She listened to me very intently and patiently. I had serious blood disorder issue. She was able to diagnose my problem accurately and explained to me the treatment she was going to prescribe and with my consent I had the treatment prescribed. And within a couple of months and by the grace of God my condition improved. No doubt Dr. Rao has the knowledge and skill to treat her patients with utmost care. May God bless her.

Dr. Rao is an amazing doctor. She's professional, caring, compassionate, and her patients are her first concern, and, most importantly, she's pro-active in my care. I had stage 2A breast cancer 9 yrs ago. I started seeing Dr. Rao about 4 yrs ago and I see her every 3-6 months. She schedules tests regularly (MRS, ultrasound, mammo, CT scan, blood work, etc). As a result, when I got breast cancer again in July it was caught very early (stage 0). It was completely contained in the breast so no chemo or radiation was necessary. I have Dr. Rao to thank for all of that. Her staff is caring, hard working, and goes the extra mile, like she does. She's in high demand and wait times can be slightly long sometimes as a result. But I'm happy to wait if it means having her for my doctor. I won't go to anyone else.

Dr Rao and her staff have always been friendly and professional. My daughter goes there for iron infusions and is pleased with the care she is receiving.

This is one of the kindest Drs I have ever met. She truly cares for her patients. The NP is also great! The infusion nurses are very aware of each patient. The only thing is infusion center is loud and bright. So even though given IV Benadryl I can’t relax/ sleep. The office is always busy.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Rao for almost 6 months trying to get a diagnosis. I feel like a transaction/ lab rat instead of a patient when I’m there. The front desk staff is not friendly to new patients. Communication from this office needs to be improved. It’s nearly impossible to get a call back from Dr. Rao’s team. Dr. Rao isn’t my cup of tea (not every doctor is for everyone). She’s made remarks that I thought were unnecessary. The new phlebotomist is consistently late which is frustrating and the wait times here can be very long.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Dr. Rao quickly analyzed my situation and started my timely treatment. She is very personable and high energy. She also likes to teach and explain.

I’ve been seen by Dr Rao and Reylin since December 2013, Dr Rao explained my whole treatment with me and my daughters in great detail. I clearly remember her telling me you’ll never end up in the hospital due to treatment. And she was right, i was a bit doubtful, because my sister had the same breast Ca as i and she ended up in ICU twice, of course with a different Dr. I’m very thankful for her and Reylin’s care I’m here cancer free 7 yrs and counting. The staff are amazing i always feel welcomed when I’m there.

Dr. Rao is a very sweet and caring Dr . I just hate I saw her one time and was pushed down to her PA's . I just wish I could remain seeing her. The 2 different PA's I've seen in her office have been not been anything I would have trust my life with.

I waited 3 hours in a freezing cold office to see Dr. Rao. She had been asked by my primary care doctor if she could fit me in. She should have said no, respecting that my time is just as valuable as hers. During my visit she informed me she was the "best Oncologist in San Antonio and I should see how the other doctors treat their patient's". I should have listened to my gut and never returned. Unfortunately I spent the next 8 months going through hell. Dr. Rao if you actually got to see her, contradicts herself and is very condescending. For close to 8 months I went in monthly only to see a nurse practitioner who was in training. Dr. Rao focuses on how many people she can bring through the front door. Hires nurses to handle the appointments who have to take notes then go ask her before answering any of your questions. I never got clear answers and the medication I need to take was poisoning me. So I was proactive and found a new doctor. Within 5 minutes of my first appointment with my new doctor I learned and understood more about my condition than I had ever learned seeing Dr. Rao's office for 8 months. My medication was adjusted and I am no longer being poisoned and doing great. I waited 3 hours in a freezing cold office to see Dr. Rao. When I first started seeing Dr. Rao I was quite impressed with the efficiency and concern from the doctor and her staff. I took a while to schedule the biopsy and the bone marrow biopsy but now they ordered a pet scan/CT scan and wishing to be having all kinds of difficulty trying to get that scheduled. After numerous phone calls on my part to insurance company for Dr. Rao‘s office to her staff and finally getting angry and talking to the office manager to find out that their incompetence is unbelievable. After waiting for a phone call for the pet scan and waiting and waiting finally I started making phone calls and there seems to be no appointment made no doctors orders to have it done but yet here I am with cancer and there seems to be no concern from this doctors office whatsoever. I have finally told him today enough is enough. I am tired of the incompetence and hopefully I can find Someone who can do the job and possibly keep me alive a little bit longer. Complete incompetence.

Wonderful staff and a genuinely caring doctor. The Nurse Practitioners are all quite knowledgeable and seem to check in with the doctor and communicate well. Very happy.

There is not enough words to praise Dr. Rao and her staff.Its been like I have never been ill with cancer! Everyone has been so caring and kind . Its so happy and cheerful here , that we forget that we are sick. Honestly, I look forward to my treatment days, as strange as that sounds. God bless the doctor and her staff . - Alice

Dr. Rao and her staff are awesome. Could'nt ask for any better. They make me feel like I have a second family. They take pride in their work and they are all about the patients. They are very attentive and when I have a problem, they are patient and listen to me. I love them. I give them all the stars in the sky.

Dr. Rao and her staff are very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way for us. They keep me informed and always let me know in a way I can understand about any changes in my treatment or if my blood work comes back abnormal. I brag about Dr. Rao and Reylin, her NP . They are always on top of things. I am deeply grateful for my care here.It has been several years since my diagnosis and it feels like I have an extended family.

Dr Rao and her staff sincerely care for each patient. They have made my Mom’s Treatment and care a great experience. They take the time to sit and explain in a way we understand.

My visit was very good the staff was very comforting and kind, didn't wait long to be seen and the doctor was very caring very attentive and very nice. I also notice the restroom was beautiful and extremely clean.

I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer and almost died of radiation poisoning at another facility. Dr. Rao came highly recommended since she was my son's Oncologist. True to her merit, she got me set up with a nutrition plan to improve my condition and for six months, she gave me good supportive care. I came to see her in a wheelchair, frail and malnourished. Now, I am independent of all my daily activities. I was started on a low dose chemotherapy and my cancer count has decreased from 2000 to 20. She cured my son and is getting me there. It is truly amazing. Her staff are great people, always kind and patient. We have complete confidence in them.

I am a transplant patient. After about three years, I started filling up with fluid in my belly and lungs. After intensive work up, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I have a very aggressive kind and was referred to Dr. Rao by my surgeon. I have a high out of pocket with My insurance. Dr. Rao's billing staff got me financial assistance and got me on the chemotherapy that I needed . I was so moved. I could not have done this without such kind and thoughtful people. After six months, I no longer need the fluid removed from my lungs. My cancer markers are way down and my quality of life is excellent. My heartfelt Thank you to Dr. Rao and all her staff. They are the best!!

Dr. Rao and her staff are amazing!!! I receive iron infusions every week, and the infusion staff are so kind and understanding. The room is full of many receiving chemo and the staff interactions are inspiring as they really lift their spirits with their joyful interactions. The medical staff closely tracks my progress and have gone out of their way to help me. And the admin staff is amazing as well!! Overall, excellent practice!!

Dr. Rao is very personable, sweet and caring. Everyone in her office is attentive, patient and super nice. We have been to other doctors, but Dr. Rao and her staff are a great group of people like no other . We are very thankful to our PCP for referring my mother to Dr. Rao.

Dr. Rao has been my Dr since 2009. She is a great doctor that really cares for her patients.

Dr. Rao is AWESOME! A true blessing for those in need! She's caring, compassionate, positive thinker, takes time to listen to your concerns, and quick to respond to emergencies. One day while in the treatment room, my mother had a severe allergic reaction to her chemo. She started getting hives and swelling, including her tongue! Scary!! The nurses and Dr. Rao responded immediately treating the allergy and staying with my mom until she was better. THANK YOU DR. RAO!!!! Dr. Rao is AWESOME! A true blessing for those in need!
