Dr. Jay Reggie Schachner

Dr Schachner has been treating me since 2015. He treated my husband also. His knowledge is very broad in his field of work. I recommend him to anyone for his decision of treatment.

Treated well in a efficient and compassionate manner.

Several post op tests and visits with Dr. Schachner to confirm no metastasis following upper GI resection due to cancer. All options were explored and condition monitored for several months to confirm full recovery. While I am independently knowledgeable of cancer and treatment protocols we walked through the options in detail and took courses of action based on best information and least amount of invasion. Ended up being able to avoid any post op treatment after all the tests were concluded.

I feel Dr Schachner is highly qualified in his role as an oncology physician. I trust his treatment both medical and as a patient. I highly recommend him to other patients.

I was referred to Dr. Schachner due to anemia. He and his team are caring and seem to be very concerned about my problems. After several visits I was referred to another doctor to check to see if I was bleeding and that might be the cause of my anemia. After those tests came back negative, I started taking iron infusions to help with my problem. Each test has proven negative results, but no one has given up on me. Repeating of the tests still have not found my problem, but I do feel they are doing the best they can do.

Dr. Schachner is very professional, knowledgeable, caring, understanding, and is a very good listener. He is down-to-earth and takes all the time necessary for visits. I highly recommend him to anyone needing or looking for an excellent doctor!

Yes I would recommend Dr. Schachner to anyone.

I was treated with respect and he saw to it that I received what was needed, both in the hospital with blood infusions, and with iron infusions. He also got me the necessary consult with a gastroenterologist. I would highly recommend him to my family and friends.

Throughout the many years I have been a patient of Dr Schachner I have come to appreciate his vast knowledge and would highly recommend him. He is not a “hold your hand -you have cancer” personality. I am glad he always told me everything straight forward. He also gave me options and referred me to a doctor in Houston to get a second opinion. Love him.

Visit went well with Dr , it just a process to see the Dr 30 to 45 min wait to be checked in at front desk , they seem to be the ones needing help

Great service

Dr Schachner may not have the best bed side manners but be a doctor I didn’t go to him for manners. He is a good doctor in a very hard field of medicine and he is a man of very few words. I feel that Texas Oncology is very lucky to have on staff.

My experience with the Texas Oncology has been a God sent with Dr. Schachner and his staff...love them all.

He is a little abrupt, but competent. You have to pin him down to get details. Once you get his attention, he'll give you the information.

His knowledge, along with his teams support saved my life, I am forever grateful. Straight to the point, no sugar coated nonsense, absolutely love everyone that aided in my battle & recovery.

Super doc. The wait may be a littler longer, but he takes his time and fully explains things to the patient.

Only 4 handicap parking spots, one parking lot that holds about 25 cars, and there are 28 people all handicapped in his office. A 4-5 hr. Wait everytine.

I really like Dr. Schachner. I gave 4 stars instead 5 only due to the very long wait time.

Brilliant and communicates well, but tells it like it is. Very well connected and valued among other doctors. Staff is AWESOME!
