Dr. Jay Christopher Andersen

I was referred to Dr Anderson for anemia, which he immediately took care of. Dr Anderson is very attentive to all details pertaining to my medical care. He is updated with tests and procedures I’ve had and upcoming checkups I need. And he follows up on the results. This is unlike my other doctors who are in their zone of care only.

Dr Andersen is a very brilliant physician, who helped me navigate through my breast cancer journey. I am most grateful to have had him as my oncologist.

Dr. Andersen is caring ,attentive and direct.

I feel always rushed because he is in such a rush.

Dr. Anderson was thorough and followed through to determine what was causing my test results.

He is very thorough and understanding. His PA, Amy Scheer, is awesome as well. Highly recommend.

Wonderful practice- Dr. Andersen has put together a great team. Everyone from infusion nurses to physical therapists are are kind and knowledgeable.

Compassionate and kind doctor. Always informative and clear about treatment options.

Supportive and well informed on the most up to date treatments related to breast cancer. Worked together to find a possible drug trial that applied to my circumstances and created the best outcome; LIVING! Straight forward discussions, no 'beating around the bush'. Dr. Anderson's staff is fun to interact with and always upbeat.

I have been Dr Anderson’s patient now for quite a few months following my diagnosis. I’m not done with trt yet but am so glad he is my Doc. I trust him implicitly and cannot give him a higher recommendation. He is thorough, kind, extremely knowledgeable and patiently answers every question-even when I remember I’ve asked them before. Run, don’t walk before he’s not taking new patients!!

Standard follow up exam with blood tests.

Yes. I have always had super visits with my breast cancer doctors. They have always answered my questions and gave me the best knowledge of the outcome of the appointment.

Dr.Anderson was checking my blood as it had been clumping on prior tests and getting a low count.

Five year check up post lumpectomy and radiation for breast cancer. Dr. Anderson is a kind, caring and compassionate health care provider. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone.

I have been under Dr. Andersen's care since September 2020. He and his team have been very supportive and caring in my treatment. He/They have kept me on track with all of the various procedures necessary to bring me to cancer free. I can ask any questions I have and they are answered. I feel confident in his care and that of the rest of the team. I would recommend him/them to anyone in need of a competent oncologist.

I arrived half an hour early to my appointment, and was seen immediately. Amazing. Dr. Anderson was extremely knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. After explaining my test results, he let me know that I would probably qualify for a DNA scan to enhance my on-going healthcare. That was very pro-active on his part. Dr. Andersen is a really great doctor, he is incredibly knowledgeable and explains things so it is easy to understand.

Dr. Andersen was very thorough in his explanation of my circumstances and thoughtful of my concerns. By asking for an additional sample before I left, he helped me to save time and worry.

I was severely injured in a procedure for which Dr. Anderson did not warn me of the risks.

Excellent. I have been going to Dr. Andersen since 2016. He is very thorough, caring and takes the time to listen.

O.ur oncologist from Compass retired so we transferred care to Dr, Anderson. Unfortunately, we found him rushed , unavailable and not particularly interested in our case. Tigard's Compass's schedulers and some of Dr.Anderson's PA very difficult to deal with as they do not know how to listen, We were very disappointed as we expected the same level of care as we received from our retired Compass oncology.

Dr. Anderson did not inform me of side effects of either the tests or treatments. As a result I was injured by a procedure that I would have avoided had he properly informed me of the risks.

I would highly recommend Dr. Andersen. He has been able to get treatment approved that was initially declined.

Dr. Andersen was so compassionate and patient with me to make sure that I thoroughly understood my condition and my treatment. He always gave me his full attention to listen to my concerns and answer my questions, and never rushed through my appointment time. His staff is absolutely helpful and kind at every encounter.

Dr. Anderson and all of the staff were wonderful. Any questions were answered with clarity and patience. Everyone was patient and kind with my mom, not only was she dealing with the cancer but she also had Alzheimer’s. They answered every question (multiple times??) and never made her feel rushed.

Have been a patient for nearly 10 years. Have received excellent care!!!

Dr Anderson is simply the best. We met him after I was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, my husband and I were absolutely broken as we entered his office. After a few minutes Dr. Anderson explained what type of cancer I had and what the plan was. As we left his office we felt very positive and hopeful that we would beat this. Dr. Anderson is very easy to talk to, very easy to understand. We felt that he was on our side and that he had a personal interest in our case. 5 years later I am cancer free and my husband and I plan on a long beautiful life! Dr Anderson is simply the best. He is cold and dismissive

Dr. Andersen, was very thurough and specific when speaking with me about my diagnosis. He never made me feel as if he had to get to the next appointment. At one point we had to change things up very quickly and he gave me all of my options with all of the draw backs that came with them. I trust Dr. Andersen to tell me like it is so that I am able to make the best decision for myself. I am so grateful that my experience with cancer included Dr. Andersen and his team.
