I couldn’t stand or do anything without my back literally making a clunking forward and back, so unstable I leaned forwards to balance . Not a full nights sleep in years, Dr. Huffman was recommended by an excellent doctor as being the best. Indeed he was. I got up in surgery recovery and could not believe how strong I felt with my back and balance. It’s been three months and no pain. Fantastic recovery. I couldn’t say more than, trust him. His surgery team has been with him 17 yrs! The surgery experience was fantastic. Read the reviews!!

Great service

I found Dr. Huffman and his staff, compassionate and responsive to our needs. They return phone calls in a timely manner unlike other physicians and their staffs that are associated with QVH. Knowing that they care goes a very long way. GREAT JOB.

Doctor has listened to my observations and willing to recommend alternatives to surgery with good results. I would give 5 stars except that the epidermal hurt a lot more than expected.

I like how when I call the office, the staff always returns my calls within a day or two and are always polite and friendly. Dr. Huffman is a nice, pleasant and understanding Doctor who is so patient and answers all your questions that you may have and explains the procedures and options that may apply to you.

He's an exceptionally caring physician, not very talkative, but competent. He performed an excellent operation using Minimally Invasive Surgery techniques to fuse my L3-L4 vertebras and spinal stenosis. My recovery time has been minimal without any severe pain.

After 30 years of terrible pain from a car accident, a previous surgery from a different doctor, many injections, and years of physical therapy, I finally found Dr. Huffman. Dr. Huffman performed a cervical discectomy and fusion which has reduced my pain dramatically to where I can do most things I haven't been able to do for years. He is kind and gentle and incredibly inciteful. He was able to address my somewhat complicated situation and even removed a bone spur that was pressing against the back of my esophagus which made it difficult for me to swallow. I would highly recommend Dr. Huffman to anyone with spinal pain to see him for a diagnosis and excellent care. I have had the opportunity to undergo care by Dr. Huffman a fellow physician for my chronic and acute back pain. He has been kind, knowledgeable and technically qualified. He has also been available to answer my questions and provide care when necessary. I can only give him my highest rating.

My experience this time wasn't with Dr. Huffman himself, but rather, with his P.A., and as always, it was excellent. However, a few years ago, before I'd ever met Dr. Huffman, I'd been sent to another orthopedic dr. who, without having a nerve test done on me, was ready to give me injections in my back for what turned out to be carpal tunnel. I 'd heard about how terrific Dr. Huffman was, so I went for a 2nd opinion. He saved me from injections I didn't need at all by sending me for a nerve test and correctly diagnosing my issue as carpal tunnel. He took me over to meet Dr. Birkbeck, who, over the next year performed the surgery on both of my hands. I've had no numbness since. I'll forever be grateful to Dr. Huffman. I've seen him and/or his staff a couple of times since for different issues, and they've always steered me right. He's cautious with his diagnoses, and accurate. I wouldn't go to anyone else for issues with my back, and have frequently recommended him to people as far away as Tahoe, knowing it would definitely be worth the trip.. I love, love, love this practice! I came into this office after having back surgery from another surgeon 5 years prior, still experiencing a ton of back pain and having difficulty with most activities including walking to/from my car. Dr. Huffman requested further scans and identified the issue immediately and address less invasive options in addition to surgery. While I tried cortisone injections, they only provided small relief so I decided to get a second surgery. I went into surgery just before noon and was sitting in my home by 430pm the same day; I felt immediate relief, was able to walk w/ ease and less pain and after a few weeks, I was nearly pain free. I've had 3 follow-ups where he is available to answer any and all question I may have and explains my current xrays to my previous in an easy way I can understand. Dr. Huffman is an excellent doctor and one who will listen to what you have to say. He will do what he needs to do what he can to help you not be in so much pain, I would recommend him to anyone. The ladies in the office are the best and just so nice and looked forward to seeing them just as much.
