Dr. Jason James Davis

I was having pain in my right knee six months after having partial knee replacement. After several doctor visits an x-ray revealed that I no longer had a right hip. Dr. Davis was able to move me up on his surgery schedule and replace my hip which allows me to walk again. I am forever grateful for his expertise in the field that he is in.

I went to Dr. Davis for a right hip replacement. Dr. Davis did my left hip two years ago and I couldn't Im any one else doing my right hip. He Is a wonderful surgeon and Is definitely an asset to Henry Ford hospital.

I live in East Lansing and had been seeing an orthopedic surgeon here, but due to delays was advised to see Dr. Davis. It was the best advice I could have received. Surgery was quickly scheduled. Nurses and staff were outstanding. Have had a quick and pain free recovery. I wish I had talked to Dr. Davis sooner.

I know I still have weeks to go with getting my leg strength up, and my coordination together totally.. I'm still blown away by the results.. From the first visit with Dr. Davis and knew I had to have hip replacement surgery, I felt very confident and comfortable with my decision. Dr. Davis went over everything and answered all my questions. I went in the day of surgery with no apprehension what so ever.

Horrible experience. The office staff and nurses were very nice, but the PA and the doctor were awful. Just terrible bedside manner. No support, just wanted to rush me out of there. If you're someone who expects a doctor to at least pretend to care about your feelings or concerns, I wouldn't recommend this doctor.

Dr. Davis, his nurses and medical assistants are so helpful and caring. Dr. Davis listened to me and answered all my questions prior to my knee replacement. I had Osteoarthritis in my knee with a lot of pain and Dr. Davis performed the robotic procedure and am now doing fabulous. I would highly recommend Dr. Davis to perform any joint replacement. Henry Ford is Blessed to have such a qualified surgeon on their staff.

I have had Dr. Davis with both my hip replacement and most recently my knee replacements. He is a very good doctor. Talks too you not AT you. His staff is equally very good. Any questions that came up were answered promptly. As a side fact, the therapist that came to the house was very helpful giving me tips and answering questions. Aruna was a special person God sent me.

I saw Dr. Davis for my hip and right knee . He’s very thoroughly and clearly explained the surgical procedure for my right knee replacement. He patiently answered questions and was generous with his time. The entire hospital/orthopedic team was just as patient-focused, from check-in through billing. My experience at Henry Ford with Dr Davis was amazing. From the time he and I Zoomed to discuss and schedule my surgery til the day of surgery and Thru rehab. The day of surgery We were so impressed by the efficiency ,professionalism and caring given me by Dr Davis and his entire surgical staff. They were so kind, helpful, and completely thorough with their explanations and care. I was soo impressed with my discharge prep including the bracelet with the phone number for help if I needed it when I got home; also the info and phone calls before. My recovery has gone very well and My PT assured me I was way ahead of expected. We were also greeted at the entrance door of the hospital with the warmest greeting and concern for my day of surgery. Wonderful greeter that morning. So as you can tell, I can’t say enough about my total care and experience at Henry Ford. Dr. Davis has replaced both my hips and my right knee. When it's time to have my left knee replaced (sadly that will be sooner than later), he'll be the doctor I go to once again. Dr. Davis is kind, he listens to you and answers all your questions and addresses your concerns. I have had no problems with any of my joint replacement surgeries. From the moment I came into Dr. Davis office I felt very comfortable. Upon meeting Dr. Davis, he explained what he thought re my hip and I understood most of it. Dr Davis replaced my right knee in 2015 and had a good experience, this was the reason I chose him for the replacement of my left knee. I choose Henry Ford Health Care System over any other. I have had to have three major surgeries in the 9 years all at Henry Ford and have been completely satisfied with each experience.

Had knee replacement...pain went away...and doing well

My experience with Henry Ford West Bloomfield was very positive from the first moment I arrived for my consult to the very last home visit after my surgery. The staff were all pleasant, professional and helpful, especially the staff at the surgery center. I could not have asked for more compassionate and helpful people. I would highly recommend Doctor Davis and Henry Ford West Bloomfield to anyone looking into any joint replacement procedure.

I had a right knee total replacement

His practice seems to have some of the best systems in place to take care of the patients. From beginning to end. I was extremely impressed . The team seemed to be a step ahead of the game, rather than a step and a half behind. From appointments to medications , following up and treatment it all ran so smoothly. I was home by noon after a full hip replacement! Absolutely amazing. Before the hip replacement I could not walk 1 block. 9 days later I walked 2 miles.

The whole process has turned out to be as informed and very tolerable. It is important you follow all the instructions given and remain positive. The entry point healed nicely. I have gotten many compliments from others who have seen many surgeries. Dr. Davis comes highly recommended

I broke my left hip in a slip and fall accident and Dr. Davis did a total hip replacement. I was off pain medications in 4 days, walking without a cane in 6 days, and was back to work in two weeks. At four months post-surgery I climbed Monserate Mountain in the Northern San Diego County near the city of Fallbrook CA. It is a hard-rocky hike going up 1200 vertical feet along a 4.4 mile loop. The surgery technique that Dr. Davis uses allows for a rapid recovery and return to normal physical activities. The one thing that helped me was doing the recommended exercises three time a day. I started doing them the first day after surgery, do not wait for the physical therapist appointment before you start the exercises. They are very simple exercises and if you start doing them as soon as possible you will recover faster with less pain. Dr. Davis will provide you with an excellent surgical procedure and if you do your part and do the exercises you will have a rapid recovery.

Consult visit was thorough and informative. Dr Davis is a kind and patient man. Partial knee replacement went exactly as planned. After care staff was wonderful! My only issue was that my recovery was a lot more painful and slow than Dr Davis predicted, so it was harder because I was not prepared for this painful a recovery. But it’s hard to know how each patient’s body reacts. Despite being frustrated at the amt of pain afterward, I would highly recommend Dr Davis, and if I should need surgery in the future, Dr Davis will be my first choice. He is a great surgeon and a caring Dr!

Dr. Davis was my second opinion and I was much more comfortable and at ease so I had a full replacement of my left knee. That worked so well I returned after six months I scheduled my left knee. That was even better. Just three weeks after surgery I was able to with a few therapy sessions and return to work. Two weeks later I feel like I can walk farther than I have in many years without the continual pain I used to expect. The experience with all of the Henry Ford team was very good, from Dr. Davis's surgical team, imaging, therapy, billing and finally the robotic assist that was I believe (I was asleep so I couldn't observe) skillfully employed by the Dr. . I was referred and also did a fair amount of research and I can certainly say I recommend.

On October 13, 2021 Dr. Davis and his Team did a total left Hip replacement on me. The” Team” at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital was incredible. The “Team” Pre and post OP and the operating room staff were caring, compassionate and attentive. As a result of the surgical skills of Dr. Davis and the support of his Team I had a very successful Hip replacement surgery. I am 5 weeks out now, completed my PT and doing incredibly well. All that is left now is increasing my hip strength and flexibility. We found and selected Dr. Davis from this site and its reviews. I could not be happier with Dr. Davis or my outcome. Whether it’s the number of surgeries he does, constant training, his dedication to maintaining his proficiency and skill level or God given talent that contributed to my successful operation, I will never know. I’m just grateful Dr. Davis has what it takes to deliver this kind of outcome.

Dr. Davis performed my total hip replacement on October 11, 2021. I was able to walk without pain the same day. The whole surgical team was caring and professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Davis!

Had both knees replaced by Dr. Davis. I thank God for finding such a great doctor and staff to perform my surgery. Every staff member I dealt with at Henry Ford expressed being valued as a employee by Henry Fords management. To me that speaks volumes about the hospital and it’s employee relationships. The mutual respect between management and it’s employees I feel transcended into the quality of care I received. My sincere thanks to the Henry Ford team.

Knee replacement and recovery went well

I had a partial knee replacement surgery with Dr. Davis on November 1, 2021. Procedure went well & was discharged the same day. By day 7 I was able to go up and down stairs & drive on day 10. This is my second partial knee replacement surgery that he did. Had my right knee done in August 2018. I have been extremely happy with both knee surgeries.

Dr. Davis is a great surgeon and he knows what he is doing and my partial knee replacement was excellent done by him and his team without any complication and i am going for other knee procedure with him next week. God bless him.

Dr. Davis did total knee replacements on both my knees. I went from being in pain 100% of the time to being pain free! His office has a joint hotline that you can contact after surgery if necessary. They were always responsive. I am very pleased with my outcome.

Yes, wonderful surgeon. The best! This is my 3 rd surgery with Dr Davis. Previously had 2 hip replacements and now one knee replacement. Small scar. Quick recovery. Pain regiment works well! Henry Ford Hospital and surgery awesome for wonderful care!

Total left knee replacement. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Team approach including at home RN and PT visits followed by out-patient PT. A hotline number for problems/question that worked out great in my case. Dr. Davis took the time to answer all of my questions before surgery. I can't say enough about the people I interacted with. Everyone was very focused on me and my recovery. In particular, the at home PT and RN were the stars. I would recommend Dr. Davis in a heartbeat.

I had my second TKR by Dr. Davis 3 weeks ago (1st was 2 yrs ago), and have been extremely happy with the outcome both times. He is professional, knowledgeable and does a fantastic job! I recommended him to a friend for a TKR also, and he is very happy with the outcome also.

On June 21,2021 I had my left hip replaced by Dr. Davis and his team using the Mako assist and to this day of July 30,2021 I have not had one second of pain or discomfort. This experience has gone beyond my expectations and Yes I soundly recommend Dr. Davis. As is the usual response I only wish I did this two years prior.

I had a hip surgery with Dr Davis. I was very concerned of the rover time and the results. But here is a highlight of my experience with him and all his crew at HFHS at West Bloomfield on Maple rd. 1) My surgery was called robot assisted surgery. 2) I went 9:30 to the hospital, I left the hospital 5:30. My wife was driving me. 3) The surgery time itself too about 1:20 ( approximately an hour and a half)as my wife was checking the monitor of my surgery stages. 4) I walked about 1 to 2 hours after the surgery. I even climbed a stair up and down for about 3 to 4 steps. 5) Everyone I met at HFHS was kind, encouraging, caring loving. They treated me like a family member. 6) My surgery was amazingly successful I did not need the four weeks of possible physical therapy, one week was suffice. 7) I walked around the block after two weeks and drove with ease. 8) i did use the pain medication only about 4 days, afterwards i did not feel the need. 9) i encourage anyone who is hesitant about a hip surgery to check with Dr Davis. Outstanding!!! Have had bilateral hip replacement and I must say from the beginning to the end, no one can top this surgery and customer service that I received. I was in in severe pain, as soon as the surgery was over and I was able to get off the stretcher in the Recovery Room instantly free of pain. Recovery from this surgery was a snap. If you follow the directions given to you by Dr. Jason Davis you will have a great recovery. I highly recommend him and refer everyone who needs surgery on hip or knee to him.

Flawless. The office staff and Dr. Davis couldn’t have done any better. I was walking without assistance the next day and off all medications except baby aspirin after 10 days. The strong medications after surgery kept me pain free and after 10 days I felt I didn’t need them anymore. Slight discomfort but not pain. My right hip was done many years ago and it took years to heal as the other surgeon cut the tendons. Dr. Davis and his robot barely cut anything on my left hip and I only have a small 4 inch scar. There wasn’t even blood on the bandage they removed a week after surgery. Henry Ford Hospital West Bloomfield is the epitome of modern medicine and I am forever grateful for Dr. Davis, his office and the hospital. Thank you all for taking care of me during a difficult time.

When I first saw Dr Davis, he explained what was wrong with my hip, and the best options for my relief from my hip pain and disability. I elected to have Dr Davis do a robotically assisted total hip replacement. Everything was explained very thoroughly. Dr Davis then did the surgery, and I was completely pain free, except for some minor surgical pain, and I walked, and went up and down a flight of stairs within hours after the surgery, and went home that same day. I continued having a very successful recovery at home, and was able to manage all my activities of daily living without any assistance. I only needed one pain pill after leaving the hospital, and was driving shortly thereafter. I have been extremely pleased with Dr Davis and his staff.

A great surgeon, replaced my hip and 5 weeks later im walking 5 miles a day!

I had right hip replacement with Dr. Davis 9-months ago and the results have been incredible. I was was walking without assistance after 2-3 weeks, and ok'd to resume normal activities after 3 months, which included running again. Last weekend I had a 3-hour orienteering event and today I competed in my first duathlon since the surgery and the experience was great. My event included a 5K run, 27.5K bike, and second 5K run with no pain related to the hip whatsoever! Under Covid conditions the final results were not processed today, but I believe I had a Top 10 finish and may have even won my 55-59 age group. Thank you Dr. Davis!

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Davis and his staff. He has an easy way of talking to you and explaining everything that will take place. He makes sure you understood. My surgery was 5 weeks ago and I have had zero issues. With the procedure Dr Davis uses I was walking in 3 weeks with no assistance. I will use Dr. Davis to do my other hip and will recommend him to my Family and Friends.

Right hip replacement. Dr. Davis did a fantastic job!! I was up and walking unassisted within a fews days and plan on golfing right at the 2 month mark. Dr. Davis also corrected the length of my leg to make both even. Strongly recommend if you need hip replacement use Dr. Davis and the DS approach.

Unbelievable! 1 February 11:30 am walk (painfully, hip, bone on bone) into Henry Ford, West Bloomfield. Same day, 11:30 pm walk (less pain) out of the hospital, ride home in a car, climb the 14 steps into my bedroom and sleep, comfortably, in my own bed. Total left hip replacement, PT at home for 2 weeks, back to most activities, including driving to my outside PT to strengthen my legs. The choreography of the procedure, from pre-operational instructions, exercises, video conferences, through the actual process into the hospital, through the surgical procedure, post operative recovery, in hospital physical therapy, at home physical and occupational therapy and visiting nurses were reassuring, professional and, frankly, AMAZING! The one question I am sure is most asked: "Why was I so foolish wait so long?"

Hip Replacement. Great prep up to the surgery. Great on the day of the surgery, and excellent follow up. Dr. Davis and his staff are thorough and caring. I was working at home in 5 days and in the office in 1.5 weeks.

If my right knee goes as well as the surgery Dr Davis did on my left knee, just let me say it’s life changing. Highly highly recommend!

My partial knee replacement went exactly as told to me. Pain for a few days, helped with medicine and then each day my knee got stronger and stronger. I had a whole knee replacement by Dr. Davis over 6 years ago and that one went without any problems. I am 83 years old. People told me I shouldn't get surgery, recovery would be too hard they almost had me scared with their stories, but taking pain medicine the rest of my life was not for me. Now its been just over 2 weeks and I can walk without assistance (cane/walker). Follow-up help from both Dr. Davis and his staff are just a phone call away. I strongly recommend him.

Dr Davis has such a humble spirit and great bedside manner. He did both my left and right knee replacements and they both were very successful. He was very transparent throughout the whole process while explaining everything. After both surgeries, he stuck around until I was awake and came and spoke with me about the procedure and expectations. I would recommend him to anyone with joint issues. The staff in the office are very nice and caring as well.

Dr. Davis and his team of experts provided me an excellent experience with my partial knee replacement. The staff was very considerate, compassionate, and took care of me in the best way possible. I had some concerns of course, as this was my first surgery, and I'm 68 years old. Care coordinator Nicci and her staff gave future patients a two hour seminar on "what to expect" both before, during and after your surgery. She even had 3 patients come in to describe what they had gone through with their surgeries, which was very helpful. All in all, I would highly recommend Dr. Davis to anyone considering joint replacement surgery. The robotic assistance I received is state of the art, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.
