Dr. Balette was very nice and pleasant. BUT not the greatest experience with his staff, except for one! Alanna has been sweet and pleasant for over a year, helping me get my surgery approved with my insurance. The last two ladies I've spoke with have been very rude, and seem bothered when you ask questions. I really hope other patients are not getting this same experience. I have been trying to get a life changing surgery to better my future, and these ladies have made it hard and disappointing to the point i do not even want to call and ask for advice and what to expect. Dr.Balette and his staff are amazing. Dr.Balette is very knowledgeable and educates his patients. His office staff is friendly and make you feel very supportive. I could not ask for a better surgeon.

Dr. Balette is amazing. He did my surgery as an outpatient and I have been doing well with no complications. He did amazing job sealing my incisions and I am healing wonderfully.

I knew he would be my dr the moment I left the consultation. He’s straightforward but with a wonderful bedside manner. He completely changed my life! I would recommend him to anyone seeking WLS.

Excellent surgeon. He is confident, answered all my questions and has an excellent reputation as a skilled surgeon with great medical acumen.

I had a hernia repair with mesh done on June of 2013. I had pain for over a month, at follow up visits I was told that it was normal. I finally saw a different doctor for a second opinion. That doctor told me that Dr. Balette had not closed up the hernia sack before attaching the mesh and the sack had developed fluid. The fluid was removed but I have felt different pains and discomforts throughout the years. It was a bad surgery. Now I am having to go see a new doctor for the same hernia. At the first visit, Surgeon was curt and not very personable. He was selling one type of surgery, the quick and easy surgery. This surgery would help me lose weight but nothing else. @marian smart, Dr. Balette is amazing! He saved my unborn daughters and my life. He removed my gallbladder at 18 weeks pregnant. He was very careful explaining the risks on both sides of my waiting until my babies birth or doing after I made 16 weeks. When he pulled my gallbladder out it was worse than could be seen in imaging. He will soon save my life again with the sleeve. Do your research! The sleeve is the easiest on YOU! It is less evasive, therefore, less downtime and easier recovery for YOU!! I know people that have done gastric bypass and sleeve. People that have done gastric bypass suffer so much more during their recovery. The recovery time is longer. I was recommended to Dr. Balette by one of his sleeve patients. Years after she is doing well, is healthy and looks amazing. Several of the people I know that have had gastric (by other doctors) have gone through a lot of pain and suffering afterwards. Not to mention having gained a lot of weight back. My best advice is, EDUCATE yourself. Dr. Balette is a wonderful, professional man. He is straight and HONEST with you. He has only your best interests at hand. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Balette for saving my baby and myself. My wife and I found Dr. Balette and his staff to be very patient and professional. He took his time to explain the options offered for weight loss surgery and why he recommended the gastric sleeve for my condition. We met with other doctors but were never 100% comfortable until meeting with the Dr. Balette and his staff. The pre-surgery education process and post surgery follow ups were very helpful. We highly recommend Dr. Balette's practice for weight loss surgery. My wife and I found Dr. Balette and his staff to be very patient and professional. Wow!!! Dr. Balette, Meagan, and Beatriz are incredible. Their instructions were very simple. They helped me come to a decision on my own instead of forcing something down my throat. All of my questions were answered thoroughly and honestly. Prior to surgery, Dr Balette came into my room to sit with me and make sure I was comfortable. After surgery he did the same thing. The small incisions that were made looked evenly spaced and I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to notice them in a few months. The surgical center staff that Dr Balette partners with(Memorial Hernan) was of equal caliber to the service that I received by Jason’s staff. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! Dr.Balette was a doll to work with. He helped me immediately resolve my Gallbladder issues. I made a appoint a week out due to availability he had, the wait was not long in the waiting room and staff was not overly attentive but nice. The nurse came in and was very kind and knowledgeable. Dr.balette didn't rush or make me more nervous then I was. he explained what I needed to hear and put my fears at bay. He did the surgery a week later. It went wonderfully, and I couldn't have asked for better.
