My veteran husband and I were both PTSD patients of Dr. Attaman until Saturday June 4th. After my third PTSD procedure, when I told him I smoked pot to deal with the nausea from my concussion syndrome (a recent freak accident) and the pain from my metal left arm and hip. He became visibly agitated and upset. He kept saying it was federally illegal even though I had my medical marijuana card from Oregon. It was at that moment that he judged me. I asked what alternate treatments he had available at his clinic to see if it was worth my time to transfer all my medical notes up to him from Oregon. He refused, wouldn’t even give me a pamphlet or tell me a website to refer to, even though I still had 15 minutes left of my appointment. I left his office in tears, I felt discriminated against. My veteran husband was waiting for me outside due to Covid regulations. Being upset I couldn’t properly tell him what had happened. Concerned and confused my husband went into the office to ask the doctor what went wrong during my procedure. Dr. Attaman refuse to talk to him or even come out to the lobby and called 4 police officers. I was shocked when all the police cars pulled into the parking lot. No one had even asked my husband to leave. When the police arrived that’s when the Doctor came out of his office and yelled at my husband to leave. Even the cops were confused. After talking to us and the Doctor they were horrified and told us we needed to report Dr. Attaman to the medical board. Due to all the stress my $3000 procedure did not work and I am left in fight or flight. Adrenaline and cortisol is rushing through my veins as I type this and my blood pressure is through the roof. I am devastated and don’t understand how anyone especially a Doctor can treat another human being this way. Especially veterans with PTSD. I would like to give the cops a shout out for being extremely respectful and treating us with kindness. The last time l went to Jason Attaman in July of 2022. His treatment with Pulse radiofrequency sent a burning in my pelvic floor of pudendal area. This forced me to retire early and each treatment cost me around $8500.00 When speaking with him he told me to get over it and get out of bed and strart walking. His bed side manor leaves something to be desired. I figured that spending $8,500.00 out of pocket several times he would have more of a listening approach. He seems to have no time for you and will barely give you any time for questions. In fact one visit l did not even see his face. Since he won't take insurance you would think he would listen and be more empathetic. But he has you in a precarious situation. You will do any to get out of pain. His pain regiment either work or not so you have no guarantee and you will spend a hefty price. I am still paying off credit cards on a early retirement. I had been living with effects from PTSD for 40 years with minimal relief. My coping mechanisms have been deeply engrained in me and were debilitating. I have spent years attempting to work through my paranoia and hyper vigilance with an exceptional therapist. Through that I have made many gains in my life, but before SGB I still struggled with my paranoia and had very rarely experienced spontaneous joy. I had a stellate ganglion block (SGB) completed in Dr. Attaman's office. The procedure was quick, but has brought me great relief from PTSD symptoms. Dr. Attaman' has a calm bedside manner and his office staff is very professional.

Dr. Attaman and his team helped me recover from a lumbar spine injury to my L4/L5/S1. It has been roughly 6 months since the produced and I no longer need to take any pain medication and my back no longer hurts. I had chronic pain for years following the injury, with intense sciatica, low back pain and odd (and often painful) sensations going all the way to my foot. Amazing doc and very caring.

Came to this person, suffering in severe pain for 6+ years. I was crying out in pain when he came in and immediately "scolded" me for coming in the office like this! I have seen many doctors, even a psychologist and have never experienced such lack of compassion. If he were a really concerned pain management doctor, he would have tried to help, that is what he what he signed up for, helping people in pain. Shame on you.

Avoid this place at all costs if you want Dr. Attaman to charge you $375, not read through your file (even though you were told he would before you meet with him) and then have him ask you questions that he could’ve understood in your file and say “I don’t think we can help you”. I had one appointment that was done virtually due to ongoing back & rib pain. I was initially referred for gentle rib manipulation but during my appointment was told he is no longer doing this due to a personal injury. He then recommended PRP injections, even though he knew my medical history and other diagnosis. After the appointment I was bombarded with many emails regarding the PRP injection appointments and supplements he wanted me to take. I wanted to first run the procedure by my rheumatologist and my pain management doctor given they are who referred me to him. Given the fact that I've been in pain for over a year I wanted to make sure the appointment wouldn't be booked out months so I decided to call and schedule. They require over $1200 for a deposit on this procedure. After my appointment with my pain management doctor he was SHOCKED to find out 1) how much they charge and 2) that PRP was even recommended given my medical diagnosis. I attempted to call the clinic manager and request a refund given I will NOT EVER be having the PRP injections done as this is not the correct treatment plan for me. However, Dr.Attaman denied the refund. For a doctor to prescribe a treatment plan without ever physically touching my back and ribs and then not be willing to refund over $1200 to an individual is outright unethical. What do you plan on doing with that money? After several months of back and forth between my original referring doctor and this clinic Dr. Attaman denied the refund of the entire deposit after initially calling me to tell me they would give me 50%. They do not bill through Medicare and even though my insurance covers them I cannot go to their clinic unless I self pay so..... they may treat everything but they do not treat everyone! Not good!

Flew across country to see Dr. Attaman. He’s a serious professional with a very kind and positive attitude. His team in the office clearly enjoys their job and what they are doing. Would highly recommend..

I have seen 7 different physical therapist, 2 neurologist, 4 pain management doctors, 4 orthopedic doctor, 3 orthopedic surgeons 3 MDs, 5 chiropractors, 3 PAs and one nurse practitioner and a bunch of other treatments acupuncture dry needling etc.. so I was really skeptical when I saw him even after the injection I was tired of injections. Even after my injection it didn’t seem to work. But now after 3 weeks of waiting I am getting great results, and back to moving again. I get go back to hunting, throwing knives and hatched it is also nice too have my brain back. Instead of 12 medications I back down to just three. Dr. Attaman is a good man, that honestly cares about his patients success with him and in life. Very professional staff. I fly 3000 miles to see him-that’s how highly I think of him.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Attaman and his office staff. After over a year of progressive pain with little to no relief from other treatments and being told there was nothing else I could do about it. I was referred to Dr. Attaman by my chiropractor for PRP consultation. By the time I walked in to his office, the pain had risen exponentially and I had lost mobility of my elbow and arm. I could not pet my cat, touch my face, put my clothes on without help, or even write my own name. I would just cry all the time thinking, this is how the rest of my life will be. He listened to me, not only looked at my elbow/arm with expertise but also went further to ultrasound my elbow and later take MRI to fully understand what was going on inside. He explained to me that this was not an overnight treatment and it would take time to heal which is hard to hear, but it was worth it. I have undergone 2 sets of PRP injections this year. I'll be honest, I still have pain and looking into a 3rd procedure to be done. But in comparison to where I was... I now have full ROM back and have been able to return to work in reduced hours. I don't often post reviews, but Dr Attaman's care for my pelvic floor pain was so exemplary, so life-changing, that it demanded I let others know about his success in curing me of a 12-year affliction. I'd gone to urologists and endocrinologists for years and years for this issue, with zero success. After doing research, I learned, unhappily and angrily, that American medicine is wholly uninterested in cures or healing, but instead pushes "treatments." In other words, US physicans direct men who suffer from pelvic floor pain to pursue a life committed to injecting hormones on a weekly, expensive basis, rather than providing patients the tools they need to become whole again. No needles, no pain, no ED. The four-month course of treatment, together with daily PT and reading the Wise-Anderson Protocol, was all I needed to regain my sexual function and health. I'm a fellow health care provider and I have suffered from severe shoulder pain for many years that began all the way back to my childhood. When I had my MRI performed I had severe tears in all of my internal rotator cuff tendons and musculature as well as the labrum. My supraspinatus tendon was literally hanging by a thread and I had severe osteoarthritis in my acromioclavicular joint. I went to see Dr Attaman to try to find a way to reduce the severe pain and improve the joint instability. I didn't want to have surgery as I have my own practice and taking 6 months off to rehab is not an option. The pain was about an 8 out of 10 especially at night and would catch with severe and sharp pain. I went through the procedures of stem cell and PRP using the bone marrow aspirate from my pelvis. The whole procedure was fascinating to me as I could literally see the stem cells moving and attaching to the tissue as I was having the procedure performed because they use ultrasound to target exactly where it needs to go. It has been approximately 8 weeks and I feel literally a 1 to 2 out of 10 in pain and I can move my shoulder in various rotations that I could not perform prior to the procedure. AVOID! In short, from my experience: not professional, arrogant, neglect doctor's opinion and don't care about patients in general. Story: I was referred to this clinic by a great orthopedic surgeon for pain treatment options. But Jacky (clinic manager - no MD degree) expressed her feelings:"you are not a good fit and we are declining to schedule you". Maybe Jacky posses 2 MD degrees. Cons: 1. Very long and complicated online registration process (as many clients noticed here - 2 hours) with many not med. related questions. If you miss a few questions - you have to start this 2 hour adventure all over again (from beginning) or you will be declining to schedule (if you miss a few not med. related question eg: do you posses GED, tech. education etc) 2. To schedule simple app-t, this clinic will force you to provide them your personal credit card online (with all the credentials) and you have to sign the agreement that they will use it different ways. 3. Complete silent subjugation is required to make your 1st app-t. Reviews mentioned that unexpected extra cost involved, up sales, not approved treatments, etc - don't know about that. And yes - I filled this 2 hours online form 4 times, offered them my credit card (hope they won't do any fraud with it), pointed that I already have MRI on hands and as a result: get decline to schedule by Jacky (clinic manager). In a phone conversation, Jacky mentioned that I was hesitant to provide online my credit card to them and I didn't answered all the questions on the first try. Result: decline to schedule. My experience with Dr. Attaman for my tennis/golf elbow was amazing! I decided on the PRP treatment since I have done prolo before but loved the idea of using my own blood to heal myself using this technology and procedure. I am in my 50's and play tennis and golf competitively and this has helped eliminate my pain from a long term and healthy approach instead of short term pain management such as cortisone or other gimmick treatments that are not good for you. Dr. Attaman is a godsend for people with chronic nerve pain. If you've had it, you know how relentless it is. I've been to Dr. Attaman for two different issues, for a hip injury and a herniated cervical disc. For the latter, I ended up getting two steroid injections from Dr. Attaman. The procedure was painless (I chose conscious sedation), extremely smooth and I knew what to expect before, during, and after. He also recommended a better medication for nerve pain and I was able to say goodbye to gabapentin, which I hate taking. Long-term result? I am two months post-injection and almost pain free. I like that he's not going to just write you a Rx and tell you to come back in a month. I like that he's doing innovative things with the kinds of pain most doctors won't touch. Dr. Attaman was a good listener, efficient, friendly, and he was able to diagnose my pudendal nerve pain. He carefully listened to my particular concerns, and did his best to guide me through the nerve block shots without undue pain. Other MDs had been of no help with this particular condition, but he was able to alleviate some of the suffering. Also, he has offered a treatment plan to move forward that is affordable, and I have full confidence in his knowledge of this rare condition. If he did not offer this expertise, I would have continued suffering without a diagnosis. I now feel hopeful I have a treatment plan. It was well worth traveling from out of state for this visit. I started seeing Dr. Attaman regarding my neck and shoulder pain. In last 3 years, my back and shoulders have gradually worn out and I’m consistently in pain that could not be solved by physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic or massage and even Spine Specialists didn’t offer much help. Then with some research on internet I found Dr. Attaman and I am so very thankful for it. Dr. Attaman and his staff understood from where I was coming, were very attentive and Dr. Attaman gave me a thorough exam. With quick review of my prior treatments and and MRI & X-ray results he was able identify my problem areas and brought a smile on my face when he said he can help me. Currently he is doing diagnostic procedure called Medial Branch Blocks and the results so far have been very encouraging. After a long long time I felt so great and relieved that finally some treatment is working. Now I’m eagerly waiting for the final RFA procedure. I came to Dr. Attaman with a painful condition I had been living with for 18 months. I had seen multiple doctors, but none of them could provide me with a diagnosis or any hope for a cure. The pain level was such that it was impacting my ability to focus at work and enjoy my life. Dr. Attaman immediately knew the likely cause and was able to definitely diagnose my condition fairly quickly. I later elected to undergo a multi-step procedure for treatment. Dr. Attaman is very kind and knowledgeable about different pain procedures - specifically of the pelvis which is my issue. I really appreciate his willingness to explain things to me, and I never feel rushed out of his office. It's very unique to find a sympathetic doctor willing to have peer-to-peer conversations with you to help you determine 1. whats wrong and 2. next steps. I recently scheduled an appointment with Dr. Attaman for my wife as she has an undiagnosed chronic pain issue. Upon arriving everything seemed fine. The staff was receptive and kind. The issues that I had were only with Dr. Attaman. First in order to see the Doctor you have to fill out an intake form online 24hrs before your appointment. I can say that the intake form was very detailed and intense. To be honest it took me over 2hrs to complete. The frustrating part was as the appointment began the PA starting asking questions which we're all questions that I already answered on the intake form. This was obviously frustrating to say the least. Moreover, the Doctor upon entering the room immediately was very egotistical and rude. He did not listen to my wife he dismissed everything she and I said. When she was asked to lay flat on the bed she did so. The Doctor then asked her to sit up, when she could not she asked for his help and he said and I quote "I will not help you". I then reached over and helped my wife up. The doctor then conducted the rest of his exam without actually intenally examing the Pudendal Nerve. I then asked for a nerve block to check it and he said she "Most likely does not have it".. he then went into a tangent about Sleep Apnea. I had an appointment with doctor Attaman. First of all, he suggested to do a procedure to close my abdminal gap after I had my kids. He did say that there was no research about it but still suggested to perform it. Then his secretary went on to tell me that no insurance covers for it and that I have to pay 1,800. Then for the diagnostics of the pain of my back, he said I would have to do it with anesthesia because I would be in excruciating pain. I did ask for a second opinion with Dr Burns in Kirland and he said that there is no need for sedation for the diagnostics. Then he said I couldn't use a driving service even if they went inside the clinic. That it would have to be a family member or friend. When I stated that I don't have nobody they suggested to then pay for a nurse. His stuff also tried to charge me $75 for the first visit even though my copay is $40. I said I would like to make a complain agaisnt the surgery center and she said that Dr Attaman was a stake holder ( one of the owners) so I couldn't file a complain. Finally they called me to say that they decided to not treat my pain and that I should look for another doctor. He never called me, nor care about my situation. Awful experience. Visit #1 I showed up 15 mins early to my first appointment. Front desk staff was generally pleasant. I waited an hour before anyone came to get me to be seen by the Dr. After being brought into the room I waited another 30 mins (total wait to this point, not counting being early, 1.5 hours) at which point I elected to leave. The staff didn't seem surprised that the wait was so long - this seems like it is a common occurrence. Visit #2 Given the recommendation to see Dr. Attaman, I rescheduled for a week later. I only waited about 15 mins to be brought back to the exam room. After an initial exam, I waited about another 15 mins to see the doctor. His exam seemed thorough, and the Dr seemed knowledgeable. He offered me a few different treatment options and offered to answer any additional questions I had via email. After some thought on the treatment options, I emailed the clinic. It took the Dr. two weeks to respond to 5 questions I had about the options he presented. Many of his answers were one word..a full sentence if I was lucky. Conclusion: I have seen other pain specialists with busy schedules such as Dr. A. and they have all prioritized patient care and communication. From my two visits, I cannot say the same about Dr. A. Medical expertise - I have not had any treatments done by Dr. A, so I cannot comment on his ability to effectively treat patients - though he does come highly regarded from a few sources I have since seen other practitioners focused on regenerative approaches and found their client care much more thorough and their breadth of knowledge to be wider. Given the state of regenerative medicine, I will be choosing to see a Dr. who is actively researching and publishing on the topic of regenerative medicine. 2 1/2 year’s now in pain with no relief to seen for. Attaman’s diagnosis was Pudendal Neuralgia. Had 3 Nerve blocks to both sides with some relief for one month. The second two did not last but 2 weeks if that. My next option he gave me was pulse radio frequency at a cost of $1600 cash (not covered by ins.) with no relief at all. My next option was Platelet Rich Plasma at $3600 cash out of packet. Guess you can see why I rich the $1600. 1. Now for what I have been fighting along with the pain is there office, and how hard they are to contact. It’s all about recordings and never get a answer back. Most of the time I have to call back two days later. 2. All the run around with phone calls and now I am at the UW pain clinic “very professional by the way” and I can not get Dr Attaman to give my files over to the UW pain clinic. What is so secretive? The staff is very pleasant and mostly knowledgeable. Dr. Attaman seems to be fully versed in all of the medical technics currently available. I just wish I would have gotten some relief from the pain in my knees.

Dr. Attaman’s office staff are very helpful and have been flexible with payments, which is really helpful. He was also able to help my mom with her neck issues which have been really hard to diagnose in the past few years.

I am not one to write reviews unless my experience is so abysmal that the general public *really needs to know* or so great that I know it would truly help someone else. In this case I am happy to say it is the latter. Unfortunately for me 2 years ago I was hit by the proverbial bus... yep it happened. I have been fortunate enough to receive OUTSTANDING care by some amazing practitioners. After exhausting treatment from a leading spine doctor he referred me to Dr. Attaman. My first visit, after explaining the accident, he looked at me a moment, walked to my neck, said "here, here and here." His wealth of experience in treating patients with injuries such as mine was invaluable to me. It is almost impossible to prove the damage done as it isn't something most xrays etc can pick up. Yet Dr. Attaman knew and I felt relieved that I didn't have to try to prove something I could never prove. Since that first visit I have had 4 cervical blocks and just recently RF Ablation of the C3-C5 nerves. His new MA Melissa (yep I'm calling her out) has been simply... WONDERFUL! I ended up having some sort of a reaction to something, the anesthetic, the bandage, who knows... but what matters is they responded quickly and with such care. Melissa in my opinion has gone above and beyond to make sure that I receive proper, prompt and thorough care. After thanking her she replied, "I'm just doing my job." No, she was doing so much more, more than I have received from a clinic in quite some time. Also, going through all this alone, to have someone really listen and help me, was more important to me than she will ever know. Ultimately, I am grateful to all the people who have cared for me after the accident and I can say to anyone reading this review, I am being earnest and typing from the heart. If you are in pain and you want a specialist and caring staff that will listen and help, it's Dr. Attaman and his team. You may wonder why then I didn't give 5 stars. The only meh is I was not as particular fond of the billing staff. Not sure what the hiccup there was just didn't gel the same as the back office. Certainly not a deterrent and I have referred friends with chronic pain to his office. I hope they go and you should try as well if you are looking for a great Pain Specialist in our area.
