I have had a marker in two blood tests that indicate I might develop multiple myeloma. This appointment reassured me that the marker has not changed and that my PCP rather than the oncologist-hematologist, Dr Ruzish, will initiate and evaluate whether the marker stays the same or elevates. If it elevates, I will again see Dr Ruzish. I appreciate her hand-off to my PCP. It will save money and time.

The amazing team at Providence gives test results very quickly and coordinated with other services. I appreciate the welcoming attitudes and care I receive from all involved. Thank you all.

Dr Ruzich has gathered by far the best care team anyone could ask for. She is very very knowledgeable. Great overall experience. She actually took time to listen to my concerns and her superior skills saved my life! Let me add the appropriate amount of stars to this review... *****Ten star rating!

Dr. Ruzich is a personable and very knowledgeable medical professional. She treats her patience with respect and speaks to us as valuable members of the care team. Listens to concerns and questions and addresses them seriously. No patient concern is too small. It made the entire treatment series easier to handle. They work with the patient to find and keep a schedule best suited to the patient. When we had something come up that conflicted with the schedule they bent over backwards to accommodate us. We were never scolded if we were late. We highly recommend her and her staff to anyone facing the seriousness and scariness of cancer. We visited Dr Ruzich after my partner was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that had spread. After her work up it was decided to treat her with Gemzar (spl). After the first treatment she became very sick and had a short hospitalization. She was then given the drug a second time at a 10% less dosage. She was in the Hosp for over six days almost didn't make it. Afterwards upon a office visit this Doc told her there was nothing else she had for her and she had approx two more months to live. Subsequently friends in Chicago gave their Doc a CD of her MRI. That doc called and said it was bad but not untreatable. He suggested we contact Dr Vaccaro at OHSU. We did and found the whole oncology system way better at OHSU. She has begun treatment with a different, stronger drug and she is doing fine and should have a longer time on this earth. Conclusion: If you have any issues similar with Dr Ruzich do not hesitate to contact OHSU or another cancer program maybe even the Compass group at Providence. Dr RUzich took very good care of our Mother for ten plus years. She had a blood disorder MDS. Mom thought very highly of her and her staff and trusted the care and longevity of her disease to the good care she received.

Very disappointed with her and her staff. The last visit to her office was with her PA and my husband could hardly hold his head up and she told my husband "you need to get up and do things and didn't want him just lying around like a slug". My husband told them he could not take the chemo pills anymore and instead of trying to help with his condition they said if you don't take the medicine they could not help him. He passed away in Jan 2018 and not one ounce of compassion. Shame on them!

She gave wrong test results, all clear, when report said cancer had returned. New doctor found error. Lost 2 months of treatment time, my Mom died 3 months later.
