She is a medical genius!!

Shattered my left elbow in 2007. Drs. near my home would not touch it. They referred me to Dr. Conway. She basically rebuilt my elbow. Never had a problem since the surgery. Highly recommend Dr. Conway.

My visit was very through and patient was followed very closely from day one and I’ve decided to make Dr. Conway my doctor for life. She’s a great doctor.

Dr Conway was the answer to my prayers. I had a non union break of my femur and was not able to walk for 8 months. She performed a very complicated 9 hour surgery to repair my leg in March 2021. Now less than a year later I am walking with one cane soon to be none and credit her miraculous skills for giving me my life back. Her persistence and dedication to making me whole again was unending. I can not sing her praises loud enough. She is a wonderful caring dedicated doctor that will always give you her all. Thank you Dr. Conway YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!

If any doubt, we're not pleased with your orthopedist. Do not waste your time in searching for another. Reach out and be evaluated by Dr Conway. She is the best in her field. They're not enough words to describe her excellence. My five-star rating is based on experience. However I will say be prepared your visit may take a while because she cares for every single patient and will not leave an exam room until they are satisfied. She is honest she is up front and she only has your interest and health issue at heart. After four surgeries by another orthopedist of 6 years I wish I would have found her first. She is renowned in her field and has literally patients from different parts of the USA come to her after being failed in treatment by others. She is direct and if you are willing and want your body part to be 100% healthy then there's no one better than Dr Janet Conway

I had had a knee replacement in 12/20 at another facility and after nine months was still unable to live a normal life. My physical therapist recommended that I see Dr. Conway. I am glad I did. She diagnosed the issue with my knee, went in and repaired it. Two months after the surgery, I am cycling again and getting ready for another cross country ride. Dr. Conway is the best.

Dr. Conway exhibits wonderful skill and compassion. I have recommended Dr. Conway to people that I speak to that are experiencing pain and debilitation following knee replacement surgery. I feel fortunate that the Baltimore metropolitan area has a clinician like Dr. Conway to manage the very difficult to manage joint replacement failure cases.

Proceed with caution. Dr. Conway was my surgeon for two years. Initially, like many other patients I thought that she was the best. She is highly skilled, however after my second surgery performing the same procedures for a second time, I knew that I had made the wrong decision in choosing her. Additionally, Dr.Clifford Jeng at Mercy Medical was the doctor who informed me that Dr. Conway had implanted pins in my heel. The problem is that I did not consent to this. I brought this to the attention of her assistant, Shanae, and have left many messages in the past (almost) two years. Dr. Conway will not return my calls. Even when I was in the ER at Sinai for pain in my heel, she did not return my call. Another patient posted a similar review to mine on Healthgrades. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an orthopedic surgeon to think twice before choosing her. There are many other good, experienced orthopedic surgeons in the Baltimore region.

Dr Conway is an amazing surgeon! She takes the time to listen to your complaints and follows through with a plan. I had 3 surgeons claim there was nothing they could do for me. They stated, that I would always have pain, and to pretty much deal with it. When Dr. Conway performed my first surgery she actually apologized to me. She couldn't believe another surgeon could have left my limbs the way they did. She did a total of 3 surgeries on both my limbs fixing what the original surgeon did. I am able to walk more comfortably now. I would "HIGHLY" recommend her. Dr. Conway cares about her patients and even gives her private cell number for emergencies. If you're looking for an excellent surgeon call her office her staff members are very accommodating.

Dr. Conway is phenomenal!! I had the lengthening surgery in 2019 and recently had the rod removal and I have to say it was a very simple process and education throughout the entire process!! I have had other reconstructive surgeries and this by far was the smoothest and so far easiest recovery I have been through. Additionally, I had been dealing with nerve damage in my leg from a previous surgery and she was able to rectify 85%-90% of that pain and aggravation. May turn around and have the lengthening for aesthetic reasons since this was so effective! Anyone looking for a knowledgeable Dr, you need to seek out Dr Conway, she is wonderful and very communicative so you know and understand the process! I THANK DR. CONWAY FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR WHAT SHE WAS ABLE TO DO FOR ME!

I was referred to Dr Conway after several specialists on the MD Eastern Shore attempted to relieve my leg pain, she was confident and very willing to listen to my concerns. She was able to perform surgery that reduced my pain by 80% after 60 days and I expect further progress given my experience so far. I would like to thank her and her team and my local doctor that referred me.

Dr. Conway is awesome. She's a surgeon who is not surgery happy. She does conservative things until you really need surgery and then if there's someone better at it, she'll refer you. In the last 20 years she's fixed both of my shoulders and my fractured wrist and kept me walking despite a childhood injury that gives my joints a beating. We've done more cortisone shots than I can count and she's really good at making them less painful. When my husband fell and broke his wrist into seven pieces, the resident in the ER wanted to fuse it into a useless stump. Dr. Conway reconstructed it and his dominant hand was as good as new. Most importantly, Dr. Conway is patient and listens. Even though she has her partner set for my hip replacement, she took time to go over surgery planning for me - nutrition and exercise. She's truly the best.

I developed an infection in my left knee which had been replaced by another surgeon. After another surgery by the prior surgeon, the infection recurred. I was referred to Dr. Conway who did a revision of the replacement. Six months later there has been no recurrence. Dr. Conway had a plan and it is working.

In March of 2020 I was being treated by a surgeon for an infection (unexplained) I developed in my native knee. After a clean out procedure and 8 weeks of antibiotics my surgeon was perplexed that I was unable to walk without the use of a walker or cane. He then referred me to Dr. Conway. Dr Conway successfully treated the infection and then performed a total knee replacement in August 2020. I am now happy to report I am cycling 15-20 miles again and able to perform everyday tasks without the use of a cane or walker.

I developed a potentially very serious bone infection (Osteomyelitis) in my collarbone that caused tremendous pain and apparently triggered shingles in my ear. I was in urgent need of a brilliant doctor who would dig in and figure out what was going on with me—and who knew precisely what I needed, including keeping the bone infection from spreading to my head. Thanks to Dr. Conway’s staff, including especially Bonnie and Brandi, I was able to see Dr. Conway very quickly and have the surgery I needed to remove the infected bone. In addition, in Dr. Conway was incredible at bringing in teams of specialist to help fully access the relationship between my osteomyelitis and shingles in my ear. Not only is Dr. Conway a brilliant doctor and surgeon, but she is extremely accessible, caring and a genuinely very nice person. If you need a brilliant bone infection surgeon, I can’t imagine anyone better than Dr. Conway.

Dr. Conway operated on our daughter and cleared up the infection she had developed in her thigh. We would highly recommend Dr. Conway! Her care of our daughter was top notch and we are so grateful that we were referred to her. Can't recommend her enough!

Doctor Conway saved my foot after a work related accident crushed my ankle. She explained all the procedures to me so that I would understand, she made herself very available if I had any questions outside of appointments I could text her and she is always quick to respond and she is very easy to talk to. When I first had my accident I was worried that walking would be very hard for me. I am no longer worried and I got to keep my foot, and I have Doctor Conway to thank for that.

Dr. Conway saved my foot/ankle and I will be forever grateful. I came to her after two failed fusion surgeries looking for hope that I could walk again without pain. During our very first meeting, I shared my story and she immediately had a plan to fix my ankle and explained the surgery she would do in detail. She has a great bedside manner and is very easy to talk to. She is very accessible and will answer any questions you have within minutes of texting her. I have never met any doctor that responds so quickly to patient's questions and concerns. I have the greatest respect for Dr. Conway and her team.

Dr Conway is a miracle worker! She literally gave me my life back. After visiting with multiple physicians I was referred to Dr Conway. At the time I was recovering from a failed and infected hip replacement which was not resolving after wound vacuum, hyperbaric chamber, and months of antibiotic treatment. Dr Conway found a solution and am now two years infection free and able to resume normal activity. God Bless Dr Conway and her team.

After having a botched surgery on my tibia/Fibula bones from a previous surgeon. I was referred to Dr. Conway, by another specialist. The other specialist exact words to me were, “I’m afraid of you”, my infection and break was so bad, he wasn’t confident in doing my surgery. He went on to explain that he knew someone who could fix my leg and the infection. He referred me to , Dr. Janet Conway, she treated the infection that had spread all the way to my bone, she placed rods in my leg to fix the broken bones and straightened my leg. After my bones healed she removed the rods. Dr Conway, was easy to talk to and explained everything to me so that I would understand what was going on with my treatment. Her bedside manner is outstanding and her staff are wonderful. Dr. Conway, knows what she’s doing and I wouldn’t trust anyone else for my orthopedic care. She saved my leg and my life. I’m forever thankful to her and her staff for the treatment I received.

Dr. Janet Conway is a very professional Orthopedic Doctor, her bedside manners before and after surgery are outstanding. Her team is excellent, I would recommend Dr. Conway in a heart beat. She takes the time to get to know all her patients, you are not just a number in her office.

I saw 4 previous doctors, including 2 orthopedic doctors. I received conflicting information and never felt comfortable with what they were telling me. One even suggested that a cane would be helpful. Another wanted to give me a hip replacement, I vowed to get one last opinion by a specialist found by my sister-in-law on the internet. Dr Conway gently twisted my leg into different positions, asking me to stand in different positions and 30 minutes later knew exactly what was wrong with me. No hip replacement needed, just targeted exercises to loosen up tight muscles. After 2 weeks with help from a physical therapist, I am about 80 percent back to normal. I am even able to play a round of golf with very little discomfort. It was worth the trip from the Outer Banks of NC to Baltimore, MD.

I was a broken woman - literally - when I was referred to Dr. Conway after suffering from a Tibial non-union for a year and a half. My bone was not healing, my injured leg had become shorter than my non-injured leg, and my foot splayed outward. In one surgery she fixed all three problems and for the first time in a year and a half my broken limb began to heal! I am now walking totally normal again with no pain or discomfort! I was broken and Dr. Conway fixed me and gave me back my life. I will never be able to thank her enough! I would highly recommend her for anyone having an orthopedic problem where they need her expert skill and guidance! Oh and did I mention she is one of the most attentive, kind, and patient people I have ever met?!

Dr. Conway preformed surgery on my infected right hip which other surgeons could not do . She saved my hip and my life . I pray she will continue her wonderful work helping humans for many years . May God bless her and her work .

Outstanding service and attention. The ONLY doctor I know of who gave us her cell phone and told us to text her with questions. I do text and she answers! She offered us a solution to a persistent knee problem. She takes her time, makes sure all of our questions are answered, never a feeling of rushing us in and out of the office.

Dr Conway has managed my hip replacement with a revision and subsequent infections for the last 5 years and has kept me infection free and let me live a normal life.She is there for any questions at anytime.

My husband’s case was very complicated. We were sent to Dr. Conway as a last resort. She was amazing. She is an excellent physician and surgeon. She is absolutely accessible. One of the things that impressed us was that Dr. Conway considered the whole body. She made every effort to insure that the whole body was at the most optimum position to heal. Her intelligence is obvious yet she communicated at our level. She spent all the time we needed to understand and come to terms with the surgery. The other thing that was so amazing about her was her humanity. It is obvious that she cared for us. And it doesn’t hurt that she has a great sense of humor. Her energy and optimism is contagious.

After seeing several doctors when my knee got infected from an ACL surgery, I was referred to Dr. Conway. She did not hesitate to treat me and scheduled surgery immediately to remove the infection. This was nine years ago. My knee healed beautifully after the infection was removed. She always goes the extra mile to be sure you get the care you need. Dr. Conway did my knee replacement on my other knee in January of this year. I am very allergic to certain metals and she made sure my replacement knee parts did not contain any of those metals. She is a wonderful caring doctor and I recommend her highly.

Great Surgeon! Dr. Conway did my fourth knee surgery due to MRSA. It is a tough recovery with the leg being immobilized but so far so good. Also she is available for texting and very supportive!

Dr. Conway fixed a knee I sustained that other surgeons failed to find the problem. Dr. Conway is highly experience in her field. I have been seen by other orthopedic surgeons and no one comes close. Dr. Conway bed side manner is the best and she includes family in the discussion of the treatment and rehabilitation. Dr. Conway has patients come from all over near and far to receive care from her. This alone speaks a lot of the care she provides.

In combat I sustained an injury to my left knee. The injury sustained ended my career in the military. Dr. Conway was able to do a reconstruction of my left knee. She told me I would be able to run again and walk normal when she was done. I was placed in traction for 3 days and she made sure her staff took care of me. She checked up on me and made sure everything was okay when getting discharged. I went through months of physical therapy and visits. The end result was a functional knee again. A five star rating should be more. Dr. Conway is the best and I referred several veterans, friends,and family to her as well. Of you want a top orthopedic surgeon give Dr. Conway a call.
