i found her to be extremely knowledgeable and thorough in explaining to me about everything we discussed in our appointment. she was very nice and listened to what i had to say, and answered every question i had, and wanted me to ask questions so i would understand everything about hypothyroidism. i was very happy with this dr.

Dr. Jane Schlecker admitted guilt to negligence on more then one occasion. I was a victim of her having inappropriate contact, of which the Department of Health has sanctioned her for. As a result of her sanction Medicaid has placed her on their excluded provider list. Having inappropriate contact with a patient is a serious offense and violation of the oath a doctor takes when they become a doctor. It would be surprising if other insurance companies don't follow medcaid. Neither the government or private insurance companies want to pay for a doctors service if the service they provide does not meet the standards of care for a doctor and/or if they have been sanctioned due to unaccetpable standards of care. I was harmed by this doctor, both emotionally and physically. I had many isssues/problems misdiagnosed or completely overlooked. YES she seems sweet and caring but you can't always judge a book by it's cover. I hope to reach as many people as possible so NO ONE else has to suffer as I did, at the hands of this doctor or any other negligent doctor. And what makes this even worse is she knows she harmed a patient and has never even apologized. I think that too is unprofessional and callous. 3/31/13 UPDATE After a 9 month investigation Dr. Jane Schlecker was found guilty of medicare fraud for billing for services not rendered which were related to the inappropriate contact she had in her office and expected medicare to pay forthese visits that were NOT medically necessary.
