I have known this incredible Cardiologist since 2003. I have put my life into his hands. That's how much trust and respect I have for Dr Prasad

I met Dr. Prasad while taking my 59 year old mother to a follow-up appointment after an ER visit and I have never met such a rude, unprofessional "doctor". While the front desk staff & nurses were wonderful, Dr. Prasad was unhelpful and condescending. My mother's concerns were dismissed and she was hardly given a chance to speak during her visit. He treated both of us rudely, discrediting the treatment my mother received from her primary care physician and questioning the efficacy of her prescription, saying that if she had the money to waste on that she should just give it to him instead. He said that he could tell just from looking at her that her problems weren’t heart related (despite 20+ years of recorded heart problems) & that because of his 40 years of experience he can look at someone for 5 seconds without running any tests and tell what’s wrong (10 seconds if he isn’t familiar with their medical history). I do not feel like any of the issues we came to discuss were addressed with any kind of seriousness. Even the high blood pressure my mother entered the room with went ignored. I met Dr. Prasad while taking my 59 year old mother to a follow-up appointment after an ER visit and I have never met such a rude, unprofessional "doctor". My name is Paul Jarvie and I live in Paradise Valley, AZ. I just left my third and last appointment with Dr. Jan Prasad, cardiologist. It was defintely the most bizzare interaction with any doctor I've had in my life. During my appointment a month ago, Dr. Prasad initially told me that based on his review of my file, all my concerns were psychosomatic. But after some conversation about my significant symptoms, I convinced him to order additional tests, which my insurance carrier was happy tyo pay for: a PET scan and Echocardiogram. (Another cardiologist in his practive implanted stents in one of my coronary arteries a few years back.) A month later I saw Dr. Prasad again where he was to provide me with the rersults of the tests. He again started out saying my issues were all in my head. But after I recommended he review the echocardiogram we had ordered the month before, he did so and immediately changed his POV. At that point he told me I had a thickening heart muscle and an aortic aneuryism. Then he left the room to attend to other patients. He provided no explanation of the implications of those issues, nor did he entertain any questions. I went home and accessed Mayo Clinic's online resource and WebMD to get information related to the issues. Fast forward to today. When I told him what I learned, he became very angry and advised that he doesn't like to work with patients who read that crap on the web. He said he has no time for those people. I responded by telling him that I'm one of "those people" who reads, asks questions, and requires answers. He replied that he has other patients who don't read outside information who he would rather work with. Dr. Prasad said all I should do is exactly what he tells me to do; nothing else! I immediately let him know that based on his postions, we saw our relationship the same. In no uncertain terms I ladvised him that it wouldn't make any sense for me to continue working with him and I terminated our relationship on the spot. Based on this experience I strongly caution anyone else with concerns about their heart to avoid "Cardiovacular Consultants, LTD" in Arizona at all costs. Dr. Prasad is one of many doctors associated with the parent company; CVC. In my opinion, the man should be immediately removed by CVC from having any interaction with patients.

Super rude, scream at me during visit!. Told me I have no issue despite the fact that results says otherwise. Unbelievable!! He should not be treating or advising patients!! Thinking of lawsuit...

He did not give me an exam. I was there for a checkup. Instead, he scolded me and was irate that my other physician did not inform me of the manner in which I was going to die, and that without surgery, death could be imminent. That’s it. I do look at reviews and was a bit surprised to see a range of comments, as I had only outstanding interaction with his office and am pleased to share my experience with him. I was referred to Dr. Prasad from my GP. 1. Dr. Prasad listens, which is not the case with all doctors. 2. He is not one inclined to immediately prescribe a range of drugs, but instead talks with you, listens to your replies, takes a series of tests and shares the results professionally and clearly. I have only the best of recommendations and am delighted to have him as one who is watching my health.

Dr Prasad saved my life, I thought I was having a heart attack, he saw it was blood pressure and got me on the right meds, He is someone you can trust

I would do zero if I could! WORSE doctor ever. Do Not put your life in hid hands. I went to him for help with my Lupus and chest pains. His professional opinion was Lupus NEVER effects the heart. That was the most incompetent diagnosis Ive ever heard. Actually, Lupus can cause inflammation of the myocardium, the muscle tissue of your heart. Left untreated can lead to a fatality. I wish that I could give him TEN stars! There has never been, or ever will be, a more knowledgeable, caring cardiologist than Dr. Prasad. He is truly a FAMILY doctor!! He kept my Dad going until age 93, who had congestive heart failure for 14 years, and had a quadruple bypass when he was 53, back in the day when they split you wide open. It's a miracle (and Dr. Prasad's know-how) that he survived past age 65 0r 70. He has taken care of both my husband and me for years, and is kind, caring, and always on top of the latest and greatest current medicines and procedures. Not only that, he even has a great sense of humor! Awesome office staff too, at the Dunlap office! I wish that I could give him TEN stars! A very caring doctor

This was one of the worst Dr. experiences I have ever had. He didn't listen to my heart, didn't look at the EKG I brought from the GP, didn't listen to me, and was extremely rude. I won't be going back!!!!

Dr. Prasad is an incredibly kind and compassionate man, and he is one of the best doctors I have ever had

Dr. Prasad was my husbands Dr. He took very good care of my hubby. I had many more years with him because of Dr. Prasad.
