Dr. Jami Lee Holler

My experience with Dr. Holler was damaging. I came to her when I was in my third trimester of pregnancy. I was struggling with witnessing abuse in my family and later with postpartum depression. Dr. Holler had her own agenda and idea of what I should/shouldn't be doing, made me feel very judged for my anxious thoughts, and even criticized my culture with a statement along the lines of "that's what's wrong with your culture," when I spoke about being close to my family and how this was important to me. My work with her led me to feel worse at a time when I was at my most vulnerable. I still can't believe some of the things she said to me. I am now working with another clinician that has helped me overcome a lot. I appreciate feedback and constructive tools, but I cannot condone judgment and criticism and putting someone down, especially in therapy.
