All Women, Dr. James Wilder understands whatever you’re going through. If I could give Dr Wilder 15 Stars I would. I want to speak to my Black women, indigenous and women of color whose pain is frequently ignored. Dr. Wilder will not ignore you! Please make an appointment, and make sure your insurance covers His office. This man has changed my life, and the pain it was in. Its very hard for a black woman, or a woman of color to find a doctor that will listen to their grievance about pain, or major symptoms that would be heard if they were anyone else. I have been dealing with my primary care doctor for more than two years about the amount of blood loss during my regular cycle. The loss was getting to a point of me not being able to stand straight up on the second day of my cycle. Bleeding through three bags of sanitary napkins by the third day. If you understand this, then you understand the amount of pain that comes along with it. Debilitating!! My doctor should have sent me to Doctor James Wilder months ago, but she did not. I spent allot of copayments moving in my primary care doctor’s direction. I was forced to go to an emergency room because of the amount of blood I was losing, and the pain I was in which was more than my body can deal with. The Doctor referred me to Dr. K Cuen, and she sent me straight to Dr. James Wilder. This all happened within a week. The fibroid tumors were so large, and hard you can feel them by touching my stomach, yet my doctor did not listen. I saw Dr. Wilder on a Friday and he had me scheduled for surgery on the following Tuesday. (This is how serious it was) A hysterectomy was necessary. The Fibroids tumor in my uterus ended up being 5lbs, and Dr. Wilder had to cut me down the middle to remove everything he needed to. My scar is beautiful because my emotional health had started to suffer year two of bleeding to death, and pain beyond anything I can maintain. Its sleek, and down the middle, and I know in a few months there will be no pain, and he listened to me! He heard me, and he followed his instinct. He felt the fibroids, he didn’t just have me rescheduled. Dr James Wilder talked to me for about 20 minutes before he started the exam!! Have you ever heard of that?? AMAZING!! I’m the second week out of my surgery and I’m just so grateful that I was referred to Dr James Wilder. My Favorite habit from James Wilder: He comes in the room, shakes your hand, looks you in the eye, and asks “how you are doing”. Freaking Old School Amazing! Dr. Wilder has a Nurse that is the Robbin to his Batman. Michelle Williams has been a southern peace I can’t explain. I have called and asked a bunch of questions, sometimes not even saying my name. She answered in the core of their values each time. Stop looking, this is the place. Go here!! I almost crying thinking about everything but please understand how long I’ve been in pain. My life will be different now. No more bleeding until I can’t stand. Thank Goodness! Women of all shades this is the Doctor, and nurse combination you knew you always needed. When he comes in the room Extended’s his hand, and looks you in the eye, and smiles. You will understand you’re in the right place. Thank you, Dr. James Wilder, and Michelle Williams . All Women, Dr. James Wilder understands whatever you’re going through. If I could give Dr Wilder 15 Stars I would. … More

I absolutely love Dr. Wilder because of him I am a walking Miracle. I'll never forget the reason I was sent to him but till this day I don't regret it. He has always been patient in understanding and answering my questions and concerns. In less than a year after seeing him I found out I was in remission. As a Provider he understood my importance to become a first time mommy with my condition and gave me options to make it possible. If you're looking for an Oncologist I definitely recommend him. Dr Wilder performed surgery, followed with chemo and then...disappeared. When he couldn’t or didn’t know how to treat the cancer anymore he was not answering the phone, he was not helping with prescribing pain medications and pretty much washed his hands. I wouldn’t recommend Dr Wilder to my worst enemy. Someone who is so entirely deprived of any compassion should not be a doctor, let alone treat terminally ill patients. My experience: a) He sent my mother home only five days after performing an extensive surgery on her (hysterectomy and oophorectomy). Later, the home care nurse noticed the wound was oozing and called his office to report it. No response, she sent pictures of the wound, still no response. Finally, his nurse called back six hours later urging my mother to come as soon as possible for another surgery as it turns out the stitches broke and her intestines were coming out. b) Following the surgeries, my mother had six sessions of chemo, with blood work done before and after each session as well as a CT scan after the first three. He said everything was looking positive. Then after the 6th session she had a PET scan done which showed the cancer was back. It was in her pelvis, lungs and spine. Not only did he miss the cancer recurrence for over six months (during which time we could have changed doctors, treatment and ultimately saved my mother), but he actually refused to treat her anymore. After finding out my mother’s insurance wouldn’t cover immunotherapy, his communication with her stopped. He said her cancer was too advanced. c) When I called to speak with him so he could repeat what he already told my mother about her cancer metastasis (she doesn’t speak English well), his assistant said I had to schedule a telemedicine with him. The appointment they gave us was a month away (nothing earlier for a terminally ill patient he’d been treating for 7 months?). Even worse, He ended up canceling that telemedicine appointment. He didn’t even have the basic humanity to talk for 2 minutes to a heartbroken family, leaving us without any answers. A contrasting side note: in the meantime, we contacted another oncologist who never treated my mother before. Without any charge or telemedicine, he reviewed my mother’s records and called us from his personal cell phone to give us his medical opinion for 30 minutes. d) Two months after the last chemo session that Dr Wilder recommended my mother was in hospice. I wouldn’t recommend Dr Wilder to my worst enemy. Someone who is so entirely deprived of any compassion should not be a doctor, let alone treat terminally ill patients. … More

Dr. Wilder has been my Gynecologist for over 6 years. The professionalism he showed from the moment I was diagnosed with cancer until I finished my last chemo treatment and all my follow-up appointments have been stellar. In addition to his excellent service, his nurse Michelle continues to amaze me by always returning calls and refilling any of my subscriptions immediately. I credit Dr. Wilder and Michelle for supporting me both medically and mentally as I battled one of the scariest times of my life. They gave me the best medical care and I am forever grateful to them both.

When you read this - if you still use this doctor you have no one to blame but yourself...my mother had contained uterine cancer and was told a hysterectomy was all she needed- no radiation or chemotherapy. It was contained in her uterus. During the surgery, Dr. Wilder cut her mistakenly and had to call in a different surgeon to repair his work...my mother was left with chronic pain that two other doctors confirmed was due to his cutting her...but the real problem came when they found uterine cancer two years later in her body (when she no longer had a uterus). He had so sloppily removed her uterus that the cancer was left in her body- escaping outside her uterus...she had to endure radiation as a result....then a year after that, they found more of the uterine cancer (that again, had been contained in her uterus prior to her Dr. Wilder surgery). Now it is life threatening and she is enduring chemotherapy. This all should NEVER have happened. Do you wish this for yourself/ loved one?

Since my first visit I was scared regardless I’m young and familiarity in the medical field. But this doctor made it so simple and easy. Wait was a tad long but he’s a SPECIALIST. Not a regular pcp people see him for a special reason. Staff is nice to me. Never had issues with front or nurses. He handles my concerns well and is really great in explaining things to me. My surgery was awesome with his care. Follow up appointments are easy and I feel like I talk to him about everything with my diagnosis. I switched insurance to keep him as a doctor in the beginning in the year.. that’s how good he is !! Trust me he’s worth the drive and wait. My mom had a terrible reaction to her immunotherapy which caused severe seizures she was in ICU for ten days. Dr. Wilder abd Dr. Gunuganti claimed it wasnt caused by the immunotherapy. She almost died. She was in severe mediport pain for 6 days i brought her in to see him and he said it didn't look infected and sent her home. Said theyd call to schedule removal and never did, she ended up in the ER twice for the pain. His office all of a sudden didn't take her insurance so he said he couldn't take the port out. Also sent in physical therapy papers 3 weeks late without being signed so it was voided by her insurance. WORST HEALTHCARE IVE EVER EXPERIENCED! Of the many times I have come for appointments, it was very common to have long wait times. Once I waited 3 hours to see the Dr. Thought everyone had gone home lol My last 2 visits were rescheduled by the office. Then they could not see me for a month later each time. Kind of stressful for a cancer patient to be put off one month on a check up during first year after cancer diagnosis. However, Dr wilder is an excellent doctor with a great staff. Dr. Wilder is thorough in explaining diagnosis, procedures, and options. His bedside manner was polite and kind (not necessarily the warm and fuzzy), but I didn't second guess his ability. His office staff was very kind, but they need to update to electronic files. Every lab or other doc I visited had something to say about Wilder's office being "slow", which was a little concerning. I think they just need to consider improving their office effiency. Dr. Wilder is thorough in explaining diagnosis, procedures, and options.
