Dr. James Eric Turk

My pediatrician recommended Dr Turk for my 2 year old son because he had fluid in his ears and multiple ear infections. We wanted to know if he needed tubes to relieve the ear infections that he was getting. Well Dr Turk acted like it was a total inconvenience to examine my son and really didn't do a full examination. He told us that he didn't need tubes and he'll be fine. We didn't like how he examined my son and we went to Luries to get a second opinion. Turns out Dr Turk was wrong. Dr Turk's staff was also very poor. They were very rough with my son when they were doing tests on him. They forcefully put the ear plugs/buds in his ears before they performed the testing, because of this, he wasn't very cooperative and they got mad and stopped the testing. I would highly recommend going elsewhere instead of bringing your child to this doctor.

Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Turk and the entire staff. So knowledgeable, attentive and genuine!

Dr.Turk was very attentive and professional. He set up a treatment plan right away and gave me informative tips to help along the way as well. I would highly recommend!

After the way I was treated by the receptionist I will be finding another Doctor. She couldn't even help me find their building for my appointment!

No wait time the Doctor was nice and very informative

Everyone one at the surgical center were very friendly and very professional.The nurses were great!Dr. Turk did a great job also.I felt really comfortable there.Thanks again for taking such good care of me.I want to thank Dr. Turk for saving my life.I will forever be great full.

Dr Turk was great! He answered all of my questions & concerns entirely and even gave me a diagnosis before leaving on my first consultation. He was very gentle with he had to scope me down my nose.

I didn't ask enough questions about the new procedure that I'm about to have. It's said taking his time I'll talk to doctor Shaw about it

Dr Turk is a wonderful ENT physician. He is kind, caring, thorough, and knowledgeable. His staff is friendly as well.

Felt rushed, not fully examined, no time to ask questions or explanations. Had about 3 minutes in/out the door. Now waiting 2 more months for a hearing test. Left very frustrated.

I found more comfort and more information just doing my own research googling how to fight rebound congestion after my appointment. Although I had already been to another office, I knew little of the condition and what to expect. My visit at this office could have been another opportunity for education and guidance. I received neither. His language was unnecessary and curt for my taste although nothing he said was untrue. Just very limited information and limited bedside manner. Was told my visit there was a “mistake,” among other unnecessary verbiage. By the end, I most certainly agreed that it was a mistake. Glad I got an appointment in a timely matter, but Dr spent less than 5 minutes with me, gave antibiotics and that was it. I definitely didn’t feel important.

Dr. Turk is very knowledgeable, informative and professional.

This was my first visit to Dr.Turk's office. I was greeted by a friendly staff member and proceeded to fill out all the New Patient health documents. I was called in, in a timely manner, and met another staff member who greeted me with a smile and went over some info with me. After a brief wait.. Dr. Turk entered and we went over my situation.. Very professional and pleasant man.. He diagnosed my problem within minutes.. Proceeded to fix the problem and kindly went over my instructions to follow at home.. The appointment was very efficient and prompt. I will return for a follow up.. I had a very pleasant experience at this Medical Facility. I recommend this ENT if you want quality Medical care. Dr. Turk took his time and explained everything to me about my issues.

I went to see Dr. Turk about a deviated septum. Once he checked me out, he decided that what I needed was beyond his area of expertise. He recommended me to see a specialist in Chicago. I appreciated his honesty and candor and not just doing a surgery that wasn’t going to give me the results that I needed.

I met Dr Turk while in the hospital during a very painful, terrifying time. He had a great bedside manner, listened to all of my questions and concerns, and took great care of me. The ease and quickness of his office getting me in for an appointment was amazing. I would highly recommend him!

Dr Turk is a friendly and knowledgeable physician. He's respectful with a great bedside manner. Unfortunately, his medical office in Porter Regional Hospital is the polar opposite. Please forgive me if I missed the announcement that the pandemic is over, but the hospital and this specific office are incredibly nonchalant about current pandemic practices. Dr. Turk's waiting room was packed with patients, unable to social distance while sitting clumped together. When I asked the person at reception desk to text or call me when I can see the doctor, to reduce potential exposure to a deadly virus by sitting in packed room, she replied, she couldn't contact me. FYI, it's become common practice for patients to wait in their vehicles until they are able to be seen. The office calls or texts patients when the doctor is ready to see them. I was in for follow-up after a visit to urgent care as my doctor was out of town. Staff & dr turk were all very courteous & helpful.

He was friendly but he didn’t really help me with my problem.. he just kinda told me a bunch of stuff I already knew and sent me on my way. Kinda a waste of my time not gonna lie.
