Dr. James Thomsen

Not pleased with his pre and post op services, seemed rushed and set in his ways. NO FOLLOW UP call after surgery to check in on our dtr. If he did not have the time, I would assume someone in his office would be assigned to do so. During her recovery time we had to call the on call Dr. after hours due to my dtrs pain levels, The on call Dr took the time to listen and address the matter. After 2 pediatricians, 1 urgent care visit and 1 E.R. visit couldn't diagnose our infant's breathing condition, we met Dr. Thomson and within 1hr he diagnosed him and even admitted him into the hospital that same day for emergency surgery! He was able to get him a sleep apnea study that same night and fit him into his surgical schedule for the very next day! It's been 1 week post-op and although there's still some swelling, our son is significantly sounding better. Thank you to Dr. Thomson & his team- we are forever grateful! Our first appointment was awesome! He listened and explained to me very well what he felt was going on with my toddler. I spoke up and he did not over talk me as most physicians do. He sat and listened to everything! He immediately ordered an X-ray that showed the problem areas so he is clearly “seasoned” in the game of Pediatric ENT. 2nd appointment was the same, awesome! He chose two surgeries that he felt were needed over an additional one and I pray everything goes well next week with my Diva. Pre-op calls were on time and his nurses are just wonderful!! Was very disappointed in my appointment with him. He made me feel as though my concerns for my son’s health weren’t valid or his problem.

Amazing man, super warm and friendly! He is very knowledgeable and helpful. Anytime I have ever had an issue he has personally worked to resolve it. He is very conservative when it comes to operating on children. We love him!

My son was in the NICU and Dr Thomsen did necessary procedures while there, we were pleased. Afterwards at follow ups is where we have an issue. My son has vocal cord erosion, and Dr Thomsen told us he would fix them during an unrelated surgery. We confirmed THREE TIMES prior that they would be fixed...he DID NOT fix them and afterwards told us no one ever did at that point. Then why tell us you would?! To get our money for a broncoscopy that wasn't needed? We switched doctors, can't trust him

Dr Thomsen is thorough. caring, and conservative. I like that he doesn't jump into surgery immediately, but does perform it when necessary. Between my 2 children, he has performed simple ear tubes, tonsillectomies, and a major ear drum reconstruction. His assistants always remember my son and treat him soooo well. Everyone is friendly and efficient.

Very knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. He conducted an adenoidectomy on my 7 year old daughter and it was virtually painless and without any drama. Her recovery was quick and she had no complications either.
