So far I love this doctor! I haven’t experienced what everyone else is saying about high wait times, but it looks like a lot of those reviews were left when Covid was at its peak. It that case higher wait times would make sense. Dr. Carol St James is incredible and truly showed care for me as a patient. This may seem silly but she believed everything I brought to her attention without judgement about my issue. That is a huge reason why I looked for a female doctor. When there was a strange occurrence in my vitals she went above and beyond to find out the reason and give me the resources I needed to fix it. A doctor that creates an environment of trust is so important to me and a lot of other patients, so if that’s what you’re looking for this is the doctor for you. So far I love this doctor! This was the best doctor's visit I have ever had. She took her time explaining her practice and you are presented with her moral compass when you meet her. It is very important to have a faith-based doctor, and I appreciated the time she spent communicating the best practices for my health.

I really like Dr. St. James. If you have questions she’ll talk to you about them. I have been annoyed in the past because I had to wait so long when I had an appointment. However, she saw me yesterday on short notice and I’m sure her taking time with me delayed someone else. I only had two appointments with Dr. Carol St. James before I realized I needed a new doctor. Dr Carol have been my primary physician for 13 years. I have never had an unpleasant experience with no one in her establishment. She is very busy but she always take time to listen and talk. You are not just a number she value all her patients, very professional and will always find the answer to your situation. She make doctors visits so pleasant that I make the trip from Jacksonville to Daytona every 3 months. Dr Carol have been my primary physician for 13 years. I have had nothing but a great experience with this physician. I have referred her to may coworkers and friends looking for a new doctor. She listens, cares, and doesn't just throw medications at you. I have worked in medical offices prior and have seen some terrible physician care, and she is everything the opposite. Also, for the people complaining that the waiting room is full, that should be a sign to you that she's highly liked and recommended as a great physician. Bring a book to your appointment. BEWARE OF THIS DOCTOR she has misdiagnosed SEVERAL PATIENTS, i was one of them, she tried to put me on high blood pressure medicine - my father whos been a M.D for 27 years advised me to leave as soon as i could as if i had taken that medicine i would have possibly died because my blood pressure would have dropped so low, i was just stressed out and suffer from anxiety it was all stress related. SHE HAS MISDIAGNOSED SEVERAL PEOPLE AND THIS OFFICE MIXED UP MEDICAL RECORDS WITH SEVERAL PEOPLE TO BELIEVE THEY HAVE CANCER/ OR HEART CONDITIONS THEY DONT HAVE. MALPRACTICE AT ITS FINEST. Dr. Carol is one of the most caring, thorough, knowledgeable practitioners I've met. Her reputation precedes her, as well as Dr Luther. Sometimes they are very busy but that also speaks to their caring and competence, their patients are willing wait because of the level of care they're guaranteed. I made a new patient appointment more than 2 months out, because they wouldn't take me sooner. I had to reschedule due to illness and was rescheduled an additional 2 months out to today. I went in for my appointment, and the very cramped waiting room was full to capacity with very sick people - all complaining that they've been sitting there for well past their appointment time. I signed in and stood in the corner for 25 minutes before I finally went up to the counter to see if they needed any insurance or paperwork filled out. The receptionist (accent) took my information and informed me that she didn't have my appointment for today, but rather Friday the 8th. I explained when I called to reschedule I was given the 6th not the 8th, as I am completely booked on Fridays. She said it would be another month or more to fit me back in. I have been trying to get a physical now for over 4 months! She informed me that the first visit would be a consultation only where she would determine a new date for a physical, likely 2-4 weeks from that. I took her cards and said no thank you, Ill find another doctor who needs my good insurance card and business. I would NEVER ever recommend this place to anyone. Horrible customer care. The wait for your scheduled appointment is horrible. A little inflexible treating chronic conditions. Aside from that, very competent and pleasant.

I received the worst most unprofessional treatment at the Twin Lakes Family Practice (1890 Lpga Blvd Ste 170 Daytona Beach, FL 32117) from Dr. Luther St James III. I would not recommend this office to anyone not even my worst enemy. Very rude unknowledgeable doctor. When you ask him questions he cuts you off and tries to make you feel stupid. A lot of basic questions he does not have the answers too. He asked me to leave after, I asked him why how it was possible for him to diagnose me with in seeing me in 5 min. He told me about all his degrees and specifications he had, said that is what his diagnose is base off, and if I don't like it I can leave. All of this while the examination room door is open so the whole doctors office could hear my medical information. After waiting for more than 2 HOURS to see him. Did I mention that he did not take any blood, and did not running any test? Yet magically he had a diagnosis in 5 min. If I could give Dr. Luther St James a rating I would give him a 0.000. Dr St.James is awesome , He spends time with you and actually cares !

Dr St James is not only a physician she's also an encouragement to all. My spirit was so dampened before I went in to see her, but I didn't leave the same way. She let me know that I had to see myself the way God sees me fearfully and wonderfully made. I thank God for directing me to this office.
