Dr. James Joseph Szabo

Dr.Szabo is not dedicated to his client. He prescribes wrong medication. I would never recommend him to anyone.

While I will admit Dr Szabo has very little as far as bedside manner and he is quite awkward as a person, but is by far the best dermatologist I've ever been to. He managed to remove a wart that had been on my elbow for over 20 years...in one single appointment. I'd had that wart frozen a good 50x before, the most it would do was get a little smaller. But Dr Szabo will literally use the dry ice until the wart is basically dead. It will be painful don't get me wrong, but he gets the job done better than any other Dermatologist that I've ever come across, by far! My girlfriend went to this Dr. For a skin rash that she had suddenly appeared and had been having for weeks. He refused to look at the pictures that she took showing how the rash would appear on her body. She took over 10 bottles of medications in she is currently taking that don't work and he told her to continue to take them. He did no testing to find out what was wrong...this man is a joke! HANDS DOWN THE ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!! My son had 3 biopsies and cultures over a three week period. However, when we went back in to get his results, we were told that there was an "incident at their pathology lab" and they were unaware when they would have my sons lab results???????? Here we are 2 MONTHS LATER and I still have NOT gotten my sons results and whatever this is on his face is spreading fast! (Also, after each biopsy, Dr. Szabo was very rude. This was my first visit ever to a dermatologist, I’ve been having issues with itchy scalp and hair loss for over a year and just wanted someone to help me figure out if my hair would grow back. I’m thankful they were able to take a new patient so quickly and the staff was nice but I definitely felt like Dr Szabo did not care. My appointment lasted less than 5 minutes, he barely spoke to, seemed disinterested and then said everything looked fine and I needed but Rogaine. I was so disappointed I left the appointment in tears and feeling hopeless. Not a good experience. Horrible, I will never go back. I was given bad advice. Paid $75.00 copay for a 6 minute visit. No advice and no resolution was offered and no further action was taken to resolve my issue. Very impersonal. Had to see another Dr. on the same day to find out why I was experiencing my condition. A waste of time and money for nothing

This doctor could not tell me what was wrong with me and would not give me any straight forward answers about anything that I asked him. He was very rude and weird. Just as the other reviews explained. Dr. Hardly spoke to me and did not explain to me what he thought was going on with my hands. He seemed to show a lack of interest in really helping. After I missed my next appointment because I didnt want to go back for the horrible service. I recieved 2 letters in the mail saying to reschedule with him, so I ignored them. The third letter I received which was over 3 months since I had been there, was a charge for 20 dollars. There was no warning in the previous letters or a voicemail that said I would be charged for missing the next appointment. They did wave the fee after I called and complained but they said only since it was my first time. Give a warning and better service before charging people. What has helped me better than steroids he prescribed me or others I've tried has been to put organic honey on my hands at night for 5 mins washing it off and then coconut oil before I goto sleep. Shout out to Katie and janice at Bethany medical. Best and realest drs. Ive ever had. Go see them if need a good dermatologist and if you want real people handling your health.

I must say the staff are phenomenal, very helpful and have spectacular personalities, always smiling and laughing with each other. Their office manager Ms. Orlick is just as friendly to speak with, every visit is a pleasure starting from check in...to talking with the nurses to seeing the doctor.

When days are busy and congested, I hear patients say, “this office is so calm!” The staff goes out of their way to explain better ways to take care of your skin. We see lots of children, and we take pride in holding their hand through minor procedures. We also have patients that ask for staff by name, because we were positively impressive at each visit. Szabo was rude to me and made me feel like i was just another number coming through. He did little to help with my skin condition. Took our daughter here and really didn't come away with a real answer to the solution and left us really confused about the next step for our daughter skin condition. I had the most through exam I have ever had by Dr. Szabo in many years. He ask lots of questions and listened to my answers. Other dermatologist I have gone to just looked very briefly at one thing. Dr. Szabo checked me over from top to bottom. He is matter of fact and I was pleasantly surprised. He instills confidence in you that he will take care of the problem. His staff was lovely.
