Doctor Dozier is the best ever .He is kind and thorough. the staff are wonderful and treat you with respect. My wife and I have been patients for years and feel lucky to have found such a great doctor and staff!

First visit to East Ridge Eye Center was a very good experience. Minimum wait time, courteous staff, and a clean well maintained facility. I was given multiple eye test to properly determine any issues. Dr Dozier then met with me and clearly discussed all the test results and answered my questions professionally. Doctor dozier's office is not very considerate here I've been coming here a few years now and I've never been seen when my appointment was it's going on an hour later now and still waiting do they think their time is only valuable I can't believe I came back here again.

If I could give this office less than 1 star I would. They clearly have NO regard for their patients. They can't even send in a prescription to a pharmacy in a timely manner and want to charge for rechecks 2 days later. My family will NEVER use this facility ever again.

My mom loves dr. Dozier. However, the optical center and Tammy did my mom wrong! My mom has dementia and she sold my mom her frames and assisted her in picking them out. The frames are too large for her face and too heavy on her nose and ears. My mom called and requested smaller frames and was told that they couldnt do anything about it! So now she is having headaches and cannot wear the $500 pair of glasses!! Tammy refuses to help her. We will never go back! Also, we found out that Healthspring pays $200 on new eyewear and their optician will not accept it although dr. Dozier does. And she did not inform my mom of this up front. As of February 25th, she recieved a letter that they will not see her anymore because of her review!! The truth must hurt! My mom loves dr. Dozier. Tammy in the optical center helped my wife pick out glasses that were too large for her face. They refused to help her fix the problem! We are out $500!! They finally called after I left a bad review and said they would help her. I took her back and they wanted to charge another $250 to fix the lenses. So we left! I love dr Dozier! However, their optical department needs work! I have dementia and needed assistance purchasing glasses. The optician, Tammy, helped me pick out frames that were too large for my face. After I recieved the $500 glasses, they were too heavy for my nose and it was painful to wear them. I called and was told that they could not do anything to help me. I was stuck with them. So I left a bad review. Then they called and they told me if I came in they would help me. I’ve been seeing Dr. Dozier for 3 years and I have been very pleased with him and the staff of East Ridge Eye Center. They’re very thorough and I’ve always had great care and service. Being diabetic I wanted an MD to follow me and help guide me in preventing diabetic retinopathy not just do a refraction and order my contacts. AVOID this practice. Got an appointment for gummy eyes for a week later. Established patient. Went to appt., waited over an hour and watched people who came after me get taken. i had eye surgery 7/18/17 on my left eye and before that i had surgery on my right eye i told Richmond that i felt everything he did the first surgery .on my left eye i got some kind of infection and it hurt very bad for 10 days richmond told me to come back on the 27th which i did he check me and said to take all the drops and he will see me back in 5 or 6 weeks i told him that my left eye was still sore he said the infection was almost gone and he gave me my medical folder take it up front and the lady will schedule an appointment. when i got up to the lady that does scheduling i told her apparently i work here now. I have also had problems with the same person Mazzy Blue is talking about plus the office manager. Over the years I have several times had to put up with her attitude. They also charge $20 for your medical records. You can not even see them without paying up front. My husband has had 1 or 2 eyelashes pulled out by Dr R and the ins was billed for an office surgery for over $150 per lash. I could go on but with the problems i'm having now not getting any better i'm going to get a second opinion. went to dr richmond for several yrs,he told me i was going blind about five years ago ,now he tells me i am not going blind.he diagnosed me with macular degeneration ,he told me i was going blind .recent visit ,staff was rude and later claimed that dr richmond did not say i was going blind.would not recommend him.

The receptionists were rude and condescending. I was coming in as a new patient and they would not listen to what I needed. They told me I had to have my contacts in to receive an eye exam. Well my right contact had irritated my eye and I had thrown them away. I don't know of ANY eye doctor that would want a contact in if it was causing irritation. One of the receptionist said "Don't you remember? I just talked to you yesterday and I TOLD YOU to have your contacts in for the exam". Speaking to me like I was a child. As for the other receptionist....well she has no business working with the public until she learns how to speak to people. As for Doctor Richmond, I never made it back to even meet him. I hope he is aware of the people representing him. All I needed was an eye exam. I went to an eye doctor's office. It should have been a simple process, right?? I took my business to Eyeglass World on Gunbarrel Road. NOT ONLY were they polite and helpful...the first thing the doctor did was ask me to take out my contacts in order to begin my eye exam.
