I’ve been going for a few years now. Staff is great, cleanings have been a breeze and I have been nothing but satisfied with the work they have done for me! No fillings filled to date but old crowns needed to be done from previous dentist and I highly recommend!

I wish I could give no stars

My rebuttal to the doctor’s response is at the bottom. Dr. Ostromecky made the worst possible first impression on me. The office staff seemed pleasant and professional. Dr. Ostromecky himself seemed to have a decent handle on his dental knowledge as we discussed my dental history. I thought I was in good hands. And then he asked me if I believe "the media" regarding COVID vaccine mandates. I said yes. He then questioned me on it, at one point noting an increase in tooth decay with increased mask use. This came across to me as a defense against efforts to prevent the spread of a proven deadly virus. I was shocked. I would never see this dentist again. Edit: Why even discuss such a controversial topic in the first place? Why even run the risk of having a patient misinterpret your meaning, as I did, on a subject you need to be crystal-clear on? Again, it's an extremely controversial topic and your stance was muddled by even mentioning masks and tooth decay. You could have discussed any number of much, much less risky topics. You didn't. Now you're insulting and blaming me for your mistakes, which only reinforces my belief that no one should ever see you as a dentist. My rebuttal to the doctor’s response is at the bottom. I’ve been going here since I was very small. Care has gone downhill in the past years. I’ve had fillings from there fall out two times now through no fault of my own.

Dr. Ostromecki is the only dentist I will go to. I had a hack when I was young, and Dr. O. restored my faith in dentists.

A Big Thumbs Up for Jim Ostromecky, DDS. I needed to appeal a decision that my Dental Insurance denied. We had a hearing on 9-10-21 and won hands down. Dr. Ostromecky took time on his day off to meet with me at his office to attend the hearing and present my defense via conference call. I couldn't be more grateful for his effort in this matter. It has been a long time since I had a new dentist, but considering I am now an hour away from my previous one I thought it was time to make the move. I had one person recommend Dr. O, even though I was hesitant after reading the reviews. The staff is great and very kind, as well as Dr. Ostromecky however there is little communication and transparency regarding care. Last time I went to the dentist was a bit over a year ago, I haven’t had a cavity in years. The hygienist suspected I had a few but told me Dr. O would discuss my x-rays at my next appointment as he was out that day. Well, my next appointment I was given a filling and told I had to come back for a couple of more. He never discussed my x-rays with me, I had to bring it up and ask questions to which he replied there were a couple more. When I went for the second filling I asked how many more I had an he said “10”, I thought he was joking. I said what are you doing today and can the filling that is worn wait or does it have to be redone now? He said “2”. I got those two fillings done, not realizing one was the filling that was “worn.” I was upset and felt like he was not being transparent about the work I was getting done and still had to get done. After that visit he told me I had to come back two more times, which at this point I requested my x-rays and sought a second opinion. The practice manager called me to check in an I explained to her my concerns. Well, I went for a second opinion, got a full exam and more x-rays to which the other dentist told me he could find nothing. The other dentist also didn’t understand why he put in a silver filling without asking me if that is what I wanted, he said that filling also looked like old material and questioned whether I was sure that that was the tooth that was filled. I was relieved, but also very angry. Did I actually need the work that I had done? It is difficult enough finding new health/dental care, but not feeling like you can trust that doctor is a terrible feeling. Although the staff is great, I will not be being going back. I love this office! I started coming here a few months ago because I needed a root canal. My first impression of this office was that it is very clean! To me that is important. My next impression was meeting Charlene at the front desk. She is AWESOME! I could feel her happy and positive energy just by standing there! She welcomed me in and was willing to check into any insurance questions I had. I went with the hygienist and she took xrays and cleaned my teeth. She was awesome as well! Dr. Ostromecky came in and went over all of my xrays and pretty much made a plan. He was AMAZING! He was so patient with all of my questions and very gentle when it came time for the root canal. He explained everything that was going to happen and when. I had ZERO complications. I highly recommend Dr. Ostromecky's office if you are in need of a dentist! I love this office! Scam? How about incompetent! After a filling, I had pain like never ever after a filling. His fix was to grind down the tooth to the gum!!! It's been some time now and the tooth is impossible to do anything but have it pulled.. never went back and my new dentist was actually speechless...and that isn't the only foolish thing he did. He put a hunk of filling material into a space between two teeth while he was filling one of them. I'd say after less than a month while flossing, the entire thing fell out!!! The only thing I can say is WHY IS THIS MAN STILL IN BUSINESS ?? Listen...DO NOT GO THERE...the shock on my new dentist's face told it all, and he just couldn't believe the poor quality of work..and there are another one who ripped me and my insurance. Pay attention to patient reviews. If there are several that express such despicable treatments, WAKE UP AND SMELL THE STINK. Scam? How about incompetent! So after reading the reviews online about Jim and his practice I was skeptical about getting work done but honestly he was great he was very gentle I was having multiple fillings done in a day and he worked fast and got them done...I did have a problem with two and rather than just saying I would need a route canal he room the time to re X-ray they to see if we could save the teeth and we could I don’t know but all I can say was my experience with him was good and I will be going back. And on a side note I brought my 5 year old to him for her first cleaning and though she was scared and we didn’t get the cleaning don’t jim was understanding and did what he could or what she would allow him to do. Dr. Ostromecky is always very patient and respective of my needs. The Doctor and his staff are always very pleasant to work with.

My experience today with having 3 fillings done in my front teeth was wonderful, thanks to the team at Dr Ostromeckys. They were so attentive to my fears of the dentist & made it so much easier for me to relax. From the front desk, the Assistant, the hygienist & Dr. Ostromecky who even made me laugh during my procedure have completely transposed my fears. I highly recommend them. Thank you Team Ostromecky. Dr. Ostromeky, recently pulled a tooth for me. His assistant provided the shots, and numbing agent prior to the extraction, She was excellent, and gentle. The Dr. pulled the tooth, I only felt a little pressure. After, I had little bleeding or pain. It has healed nicely without further issues. A big thank you. The front office staff (Charlene) have been extremely efficient in assisting with whatever you may need going forward. I highly recommend this dental office. I have been going to Dr. O for about 30 years. He is awesome. I moved to Shrewsbury and still returned to this practice as it feels like family. This cleaning, I had Darlene. She is awesome. I explained that I am not a fan of anyone touching my capped teeth. She took extra care when cleaning that area. I would recommend him as a dentist to everyone. I went here one time and never again! How is this place still existing? The manager was wicked rude. I wouldn’t trust the staff with my teeth one bit.

Watched the female manager belittle a patient. Would not listen to a word the man had to say. She said" I run this place, and what I say goes. If you don't like it, find a nee dentist." Then the woman said" As a matter of fact, we won't treat you here. Leave before we call the police" The man didn't know what to say. He said all I want is my filling replaced. The manager was more worried about what she could bill the man's insurance instead of worrying about the man's teeth. I walked out after that. No one deserves to be treated the way the staff treated that man. And I will not go there again. They used to be great there but since they hired the woman manager, they have no care about patients. I went to have two older fillings looked at to see if they needed to be replaced. Was told I needed a root canal because part of my tooth was infected. Went to get a second opinion and the place I went to is well known and they told me I don’t need a root canal nor my fillings replaced. Also don’t have an infection. Never going back. If I could give zero stars I would. I had an appointment scheduled for next week, and somebody called me yesterday to tell me they had a cancellation opening this morning. I explicitly told whoever it was I spoke to that I didn't have a babysitter for my 11 month old. She told me it was fine, that I could bring her. So, I rearranged my schedule and packed up my kid (on my freaking birthday, no less) and was at my scheduled appointment on time at 0845. I filled out paperwork and sat in the waiting room until ten past nine, when the hygienist called me back into the procedure room and told me that my visit today would be pointless because I had my daughter with me. This guy is a scam artist. He will tell you that you need unnecessary dental work done. Go for a second opinion!!!

I woke up with an abscess ed tooth the office fit me in quickly. . Very friendly people that work here. And from watching other clients leaving they were extreemly kind to the moms and kids. I've been a patient of Dr. Ostromecky for many years. He and his assistant are always caring and concerned with making me feel safe, comfortable and having my procedures go smoothly as possible. I have full confidence him as my dentist!

Dr. Ostromecky seems friendly, but very casual in his attitude. He tried for 45+ minutes to numb my mouth for dental work, and could not do it. I spent the rest of the day jittery, with a racing heart due to the amount of medication injected. He recommended extremely extensive work, which I questioned, and he seemed to laugh off my concerns. A visit to another dentist 3 days later confirmed almost all the work was not necessary at the time. I will NOT return to him.
