Dr. Merritt recently did a knee replacement for me. My knee has been healing very well and im very pleased with both his work and extremely happy that i had it done. A+ doctor.

Everything was so easy. Appointment was right on time,even a little early. Dr explained everything very well.

Dr.James O.Merritt performed my full right knee replacement surgery. My initial appointment with him was great. After surgery physical therapy was scheduled for six weeks. The OrthoSC PT team is a GREAT group of efficient and professional Staff. Hat's off to them for my excellent recovery. Also Hat's off to Dr. Merritt, first and foremost, for excellent surgery on my knee replacement. Without him and his God given surgical skill this would never have taken place. May God bless all of you at OrthoSc!!! Dr. Merritt is also my shoulder doctor. I have a 3cm tear in Rotar Cuff. He and I had a great and detailed conversation about treatment. Surgery scheduled soon. As with the knee replacement I'm very confident that Dr. Merritt will do a great job repairing my shoulder! Also a BIG thanks to Angela who has been great keeping everything on track to assure that my care is top shelf. Hats off to all at ORTHO SC that provide all of us with great Healthcare!!! >>>> 1-5-23 update on shoulder surgery. Nine days after surgery and all is great. O-1 pain level and feeling great! Dr. Merritt was proactive in calming my fears of getting a cortisone shot in the knee. He said it wouldn't hurt and it didn't

My second surgery with Dr. Merritt, and this time an emergency. He stayed late after his schedule to perform the surgery at 6pm. I love and respect his dedication to his patients. The BEST ortho surgeon-great success for a complicated surgery. Highly recommend.

Dr. Merrit is a good doctor, I had rotated cuff surgery done by him and he did an awesome job!!!! I would highly recommend any patients that need surgery on rotator cuff to see him for care..the nurses and staff as a team was awesome as well …

Ongoing issues with my knee injured 23 years ago. I need a replacement but had to go for a pain shot which seems to have worked. Will be scheduling Knee Replacement in the coming months. Dr Merritt does not rush u and answers all your questions. He's great!

Actually this is me Karen Cannon. He is so caring about my situation, pays attention to the detail, listens to my questions & concerns & I am convinced to put my hip replacement totally in his hands. He’s the one & glad I found him. Ok, one year follow up since surgey in Jan 2022. Left hip perfect and so is Dr. Merrit. He cares, he listens, gives great advice and welcomes me back any time I may need him. Next appt in 2 years. What a great doctor. Still glad I found him????????

My experience with OrthoSC over the years has been excellent. Dr Merritt has been diagnosing and treating my knee problems over that past couple of years. These knee problems have been properly diagnosed and Dr Merritt has provided me with both short and long term procedures to address these knee problems.

Dr Merritt treats my entire family and has always had great knowledge and respect.I have known him since he was a child and his character and ethics continue into his professionalism and expert care. I had a guided injection into a troubling hip joint and it was flawless and effective. I am thankful and relieved of pain.

Can't say enough about Dr. Merritt and my experience with a knee replacement. I highly recommend him. Everyone in the office is professional and kind. This was a tough surgery and he prepared me well for what I was going to experience. Thank you so much, Dr. Merritt and staff.

Dr. Merritt is excellent! He is treating me for a shoulder injury. Not only is he a great surgeon, he patiently listens to me and answers all my questions. I would recommend him to anyone.

First rate, listens to me, doesn't jump for surgery right away. Steroid shot and exercise at home. Follow up if needed.

If you must have orthpedic surgery, OrthoSC especially Dr.Merritt is who to choose. Professional in a comfortable sort of way, ask any question you will get an answer.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Dr Merritt discussed with me the X-rays and discussed a course of action to remedy my situation. Very pleased.

Everyone on staff very pleasant. Doctor Merritt was very knowledgeable of my condition and proposed a remedy. I feel very confident with the doctor n his staff.

Very efficient. 8:45 am appointment I was out by 9:30am after seeing dr and having 4 -X-rays and getting a shot in my knee.

Dr Merritt is an excellent physician and surgeon. Furthermore, he is a kind and thoughtful man.
