I couldn't be more thrilled with Dr. Mclelland and his team. They are the epitome of professionalism and communication. The office is one of the most efficient I've ever seen- yet I never feel rushed. They take the time to get to know you, and I genuinely feel like I have a team working alongside me toward better health.

Because five stars due no justice to the service from this team. Where do I begin?! The staff is amazing! Dr. McLelland is beyond awesome! I went from pain to no pain in no time. Now I literally have a new favorite doctor. I’ve learned so much about having a healthy spine from the programs. I am so grateful for Dr. McLelland and his staff, Summer and Ashley. I am no longer in pain! They are caring, personable and experts at scheduling, I've never had to wait. I had been to a physical therapist and an orthopedic doctor, who offered pills and injections and with no relief for sciatica. With the help of Dr. McLelland, I know exactly what was causing my issue and how to maintain my spinal health.

I've been a patient here for years now, and Dr McLelland and his staff have never failed to exceed my expectations. They run the office like a well oiled machine. They do an excellent job of making you feel cared about, remembering the little things about you and making it so easy to schedule. They also make sure you are educated about your own spine health, and how to take care of it long term as well. If you are looking for a great chiropractor, Dr McLelland is the man!

I always ask questions...and Dr M always answers them BEFORE he does anything to me. He & his staff are very professional and caring , the office is neat and clean and they infomr but do not push health care products upon you. If you wantto feel better, head on over there! I know we wil be back!

I found that his hands-on treatment is very effective and completely tailored to my body's changing needs on each visit. I have been seeing Dr. Jay for over 12 years and he has kept me pain free from a recurring pinched nerve by going once a month for maintenance. The office provides excellent customer service, and do anything they can to accommodate your schedule.

I love going to Chiropractic Centers of Short Pump! The doctors are committed to helping you feel better and teaching you about your spine and how to take care of it better. Dr. McLelland is very professional and great at what he does. Everyone at the front desk is very personable and helpful - they always work with you if you have schedule conflicts and are always fun to talk with! After two years of chronic back pain, physical therapy and injections, my spine doctor referred me to Dr. McLelland. My only regret is I didn’t go to him sooner. After two months of visits, my pain level has decreased dramatically. I’m able to sneeze, sleep, sit, bend over and walk with little to no pain. I am so impressed by the well oiled machine they have in place there. I never have to wait to be seen and I’m always greeted by sweet Ashley as soon as I walk in the door. The staff was courteous, helpful and the treatment plan was explained thoroughly. The end results was less pain.

I struggled with lower back pain for several months. I went to my primary care, did a month of PT but was not getting better. Then I scheduled an appointment with Dr. McLelland. I felt better within a week and back to normal within a few weeks!

Dr. McLelland is very knowledgeable and also takes the time to give you the same context so you can take your treatment into your own hands. I love that he gives you exercises to do on your own to strengthen your spine and he holds you accountable to! If you want someone involved in your treatment and to hold you accountable, Dr. McLelland is your guy!

I have been seeing Dr. McLelland for 6 weeks. He documented a plan and has executed it. He will be retesting on Friday. I saw a different after the first visit. I highly recommend Dr. McLelland.

I initially went in with back pain and within a short time I could see a major improvement. I continue to visit in order to maintain my progress. Visits are quick and easy, never a wait, and their entire staff is so friendly!

I just had a terrible experience at Dr. McLelland's office today. He is quite obviously all about the money ande making as much as possible from patients. He did not want to see me because it turned out that his receptionist was mistaken when she said I had a $60.00 co-pay with my insurance. My insurance doesn't even work with co-pays. The doctor actually took the phone out of my hand to dispute what my insurance company was verifying. Then he said, I think you would be better off with another chiropractor and offered me a list of other names. He was a terrible jerk who wasted my time, was only interested in money and was quite rude. And since I am only in Richmond a couple of days I don't even have the time to find another chiropractor. A truly terrible experience! Do not recommend Dr. McLelland at all. He also claims to be the number one chiropractor in the nation for customer satisfaction, a claim that is impossible to legitimately make. What a sham!!!

When i first came to this practice i was really messed up,i suffer from scoliosis and i also had mid back and bulge at base of my neck,i also couldn't turn my neck very far left or right,first visit was in 2018,after 12 vistis,i was able to turn my neck,bulge at bottom of my neck gone,lower back alot better,mid back no more pain, there is a big emphasise to educate you about your body and how how a poor skeletal system can effect so many things in your body,i learned alot which made my recovery better.i would highly recommend this practice for you skeletal problems.

McLelland is average in his skill and fails in his bedside manner. Advised me he could manage a degenerative condition and structural defect through routine adjustments and the roller table. In speaking with other patients in the waiting room, I find it interesting how many of us come in with different issues but the methods of treatment are the same. Furthermore, McLelland has a terrible ego issue. Casting any concern or asking of questions related his recommended course of care resulted in arrogant and condescending remarks. Also, he claims to be one of the highest rated chiropractors in the Richmond area. However, after a few sessions, you are requested by staff to provide feedback here on google. Further visits to the office result in being continuously asked if you have yet completed the survey. If you have not, they will offer you the opportunity to complete the survey on their patient registration computer. That computer is adjacent to Chelsea, or whoever else may be tending the front desk. The computer also faces into the small waiting area, where your information/feedback can be seen by other patients in the lobby, or by Dr. McClelland via the mirrored one way glass he has in his office. That brings up another point. What doctors office have you been to where the doctor has mirrored one way glass facing out into the lobby from his personal office? Hahaha, its just creepy and weird. Anyways, the point is that it seems unethical or in the least, disrespectful for a patient to be continuously asked to complete a survey after only 3 or 4 appointments. Chiropractors are helpful, but they're also a dime a dozen these days. This guy is immature and acts like a spoiled child. So I've happily taken my money and loyalty elsewhere. Now for a personal message for the practice: There have been other not so spectacular reviews on this specific review site about you and your practice. Interestingly enough, those reviews seem to have gone missing. If you take down what I'm posting, I'll just keep reposting. Great doctor! I had a negative experience with the previous chiropractor I went to and so I was already nervous going to a chiropractor again. Dr. McLelland quickly put me at ease and listened to me patiently and was very open to all the concerns I had. He genuinely cares about his patients and is also very good about following up. He takes the time to explain how the spine and our nervous system works. His goal is to educate you so YOU can take care of yourself in the long run. 5 stars!

Dr. McLelland is amazing. Love his sense of humor. He explained the process very well. He answered every question asked. The staff was very friendly and I never waited. Love him!

He's a sham. Has patients do reviews of him and his practice in the office, which very biased environment for that. He has an ego issue, is sarcastic, and arrogant if you provide him with feedback, findings, and recommended course of treatment of M.D.'s. Find someone else. There are tons of other chiropractors in Richmond.

I have been seeing Dr. McLelland for over ten years. My first visit was a referral from my PCP for neck and shoulder problems, and Dr. McLelland was able to take care of the problem. I have continued to see him for regular adjustments and for occasional problems caused my job. Dr. McLelland and his staff are wonderful, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. They always take time to listen. I wouldn’t think of going to any other chiropractor!

I’ve never thought that I could have a day without my low back pain again and with Dr McLelland care it became a reality - no more pain!!!!!

Since I have come I have felt a lot of relief in my back and spine. I have learned the proper way to care for my spine and the proper way to improve my posture. It took a few sessions before I saw the results, but I feel my spine is improving.

Dr James is fantastic! I've had chronic back pain for over ten years and after just a few sessions, I immediately felt better, with increased mobility and flexibility. I appreciate that he makes the time for questions and the staff treats you like family. In addition, I'm always in and out in just 15 minutes and always know what to expect each visit. In a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is for perfect health and 10 is for having to visit the Emergency, I was a 5 before seeing Dr. McLelland. Now after only 6 visits, I feel like a 2, and that speaks about his care. He is very thorough, analytical, and most of all has a sense of humor. Everything here is computerized and instructions are easy to follow. I highly recommend him to anyone wanting get their health back on track.

Dr. McLelland and his Amazing staff have provided excellent service to me and my family for many years. after suffering form a ruptured disc in my neck Dr. McLelland helped me recover fully without surgery. I appreciate the fact that they work with me to accommodate my busy and fluctuating schedule. They send text messages or call to remind me of appointments and check on me. They are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them!
