dr major is great if you have simple issues, but anything complex and he cannot help. i was seeing him alot over the last 3 months for various symptoms, he hands out medicines like candy but when i complained of side effects, he constantly told me "its all in my head". ive been to the ER various times they kept referring me back to Major, but Major would say he would make a referral, and then change his mind. when i brought up my symptoms again, he repeated its all in my head and it will be ok. he would only spend about 20mins max with me, then he had to leave. when i was asking for more time he snapped at me that he spends more time with me then any patient and "i talk to much". imagine your dr telling you you talk to much, but then in the same breath says you should trust him. out of frustration i escalated to the office manager on 10/19. i said i want to work with him, but hes not helping my symptoms. i need to get better, i need him to help with the side effects. she said she would talk with him and work something out. i went in today to check on the status, he handed me a letter and read it out loud that stated he was "firing me" because i didnt take a certain medicine a month ago. i find the timing of coincidence, not even 24 hours after i talked to his manager and stated i wanted to work things out and reset expectations to help me move forward, Dr Major fired me for something that happened a month ago. he had to dig deep to find a reason, and what a petty one at that. I was in his office with a 137 pulse, shaking uncontrollably, and unsure what to do with the various level 4 prescription drugs he gave me, and all he said was that im fired and you need to find another physician. i would caution anyone to stay well away from him. sadly there are good drs and bad drs, i wish i would have found a good one.

I have been seeing Dr Major for ten years. We have worked as a team to take measures to keep me healthy and understand potholes in the road to aging well. Dr Major is down-to-earth, has to be what with those trademark Hawaiian shirts he wears daily. Highly recommend him and the staff.

I am a doctor myself, mostly retired. I saw Dr. Major four times over two years, always for sciatic pain in my left back & leg. The first I saw him he ordered an MRI, which showed a bulging disc in my low back. From that point on, I was basically on my own. I sought treatment at a pain institute & had epidural injections & two trials of medicine to treat nerve pain, none of which helped. I put up with the pain until the last fall when it was very severe & interfered with walking. I had developed numbness in my foot & a limp. I pleaded for help from Dr. Major & asked for another MRI & a referral to a neurologist. He said he didn't think it was the right time for me to see other ! providers! When I went in to see him in late November to advocate for myself, he went on a rant against me, verbally assaulting me. I demanded an MRI & referral. When I saw the neurosurgeon, I had no ankle reflex. He asked why I had waited so long to come see him & scheduled me for surgery which is still wee

First rate medicine and a personable staff! Dr Major knows his stuff. He began life as a mathematician later going to med school. This guy is sharp. Fun to talk to as well. RN Shirley is a top level assistant. You can't go wrong.

I really like Dr. Major,he takes his time and really listens to you. He is open to your opinions and suggestions and I feel he is totally honest with you.

He was the greatest physician I ever had and saved my life. I am moving back to Tucson 2017.

We have been with Dr. Major for almost 10 years and have recommended him to many people. Since his moving to a new practice, he is no longer "prevented" from doing the treatment that he deems necessary. He genuinely listens to you takes the time to answer your questions or concerns; he never makes you feel that he is rushed to get to the next patient. How many doctors will share their personal cell phone numbers with a patient when they are very ill? He is a very caring person.

I love the guy personably, however professionally I have significant concerns. He never followed up when indicating he would after recent visits over the past 2 years. I have been admitted through the ER twice this year. Between my last visit with him which I made due to major health complaints and the admissission through the ER with a serious diagnosis I tried contacting him by phone & fax to no avail. Other issues also. It's a shame really because I like him & have been loyal to him.

He is thorough, approachable, listens, advises and is very friendly.

Dr Major is a consummate professional. He is willing to work with you if your willing to participate. However if you prove to him your not interested in his suggestions he won't be interested in yours. Wish more doctors had this attitude.

Doesn't let anything go, no well let's wait and see if it bothers you attitude Great Guy, takes time to talk to you. Gives you information to make an informed choice.

This doctor has such an extremely negative, insulting, and demeaning manner of relating to patients, that I have to suspect he has a mental disorder, and I certainly would not trust his professional judgment.
