I originally started with Cross Timbers for my husband’s tonsils and allergies. Then again for my daughters tongue tie. All of these were done with Dr. Luke Shellenberger (at the Mansfield office.) In talking with the staff I found out they have a ???? MEDSPA at the midlothian office! The ball has not been dropped on ANY level with this practice. At the Midlothian office the receptionist Angela is on her A game ALWAYS! Dr. L is a hoot and a fantastic dr! I went in there originally for Botox. I had Becky and Rebecca in there assisting him (both nurses and fun personalities) which was VERY nice and comforting. Most medspas do NOT have nurses, some places they’re not even MA’s which is ridiculous. After Botox I started doing other things to help with my face because I didn’t want fillers, so they gave me some other options. His Medspa “guru” (as I like to call her) is nurse Rebecca. She is so informative through the whole process and aftercare. EXCELLENT bedside manner. So far I’ve done Opus (which is plasma), Clearlift, and Harmony. I haven’t been disappointed with any of these results. Below is a (creepy) picture of me with my very first treatment results. I’m making the face so you can see where the Botox worked SO well on my forehead. We are working on wrinkles, lightening my freckles/age spots, and tightening. I can’t wait to see what the end results are! We have currently started working on my HORRIBLE scars on my arms from getting Brachioplasty. They also run specials every month which I’ve taken full advantage of!! :) The only thing I wish was different would be a separate entrance for MedSpa only but, to my knowledge this part of the practice is still growing so hopefully I’ll see it in the future! I have been visiting Dr. L for years when I get sinus infections. I really admire his bedside manner and his desire to problem solve where he takes in account previous treatments and medications which may no longer be effective. While no one truly knows a persons heart, his actions and demeanor appear to be consistent with one who truly cares. The wait to see him is generally over an hour once checked in, but if he is as sincere with all his patients then a long wait is just part of the process. Over the years I have developed some abdominal and back fat that I have not been happy with and have not been able to lose with dieting. I am typically anti-plastic surgery. But I learned about laser Lipo from a friend who referred me to Dr. Leffingwell. After speaking with Dr.Jim and his staff I was more intrigued. They answered all my questions and shared with me exactly what to expect. I decided to get this procedure because it was less invasive. The procedure was exactly how they described it and it was very simple. I was out of the office in a couple of hours. The results are amazing and I wish I had done this years ago. But the timing in meeting Dr. Leffingwell and his staff couldn’t have been more perfect. This dude is very happy with the results. No more love handles for me. I can’t wait until the summer to get some sun on these new abs. Thank you Dr.Jim !

In short, Dr. Leffingwell demonstrated why physicians are often held in high regard. His competence and manner were very reassuring under difficult circumstances. As the "on call" doctor for his partnership, he stepped up, and, within about an hour altered my anxiety level from about 8 or 9 to around 2. Without the benefit of an assistant/nurse he performed brilliantly in alleviating my post surgery (deviated septum repair...) excessive bleeding.

Front staff friendly. The nurse was friendly and took down my concerns. I had 2 concerns-an abscess on my tonsil and not being able to breathe out of my right nostril. A PA came in and his demeanor was not friendly. The doctor finally came in only looked at my tonsils and said they needed removal. He would not lance the abscess. He was about to walk out. I asked about my nostril. He was like oh yeah. Stated he didn't see anything wrong. Asked me if I was allergic to anything. He might recommend a steroid nasal spray. Instead, he scheduled an allergy test! I did not come in to be tested for mold, grass, animals, etc. Needless to say, this was a very disappointing visit and a waste of my deductible. My father is being treated for cancer and has been experiencing severe nose bleeds. Dr. Leffingwell was the on call doctor when my father was having a severe nose bleed. Instead of waiting in the emergency room again, he met us at his office on a Saturday and was able to immediately treat and stop his bleeding. He was extremely caring and went above and beyond to make sure my father was taken care of. We are thankful that we found Cross Timbers especially Dr. Leffingwell. Doctor made me pay for hearing test I didn’t need as I was there for my sinuses. Also wanted to charge me $16,000+ To put balloons up my sinuses. Wanted 1,876 up front which he knew I just came out of cancer and single mom. That’s more then my mastectomy co-pay abd Medicare said it should only be $6,000 . So be careful he is money hungry snd will treat you for things you don’t need and over charge you. Plus calls later just to make me feel even worse. I’m trying to get better and felt like my face was shoved in the mud. This doctor obviously does not care about his patients . Dr. Leffingwell saw my son for his hearing. He was reassuring and put my mind at ease about my concerns! He is a great doctor and would highly recommend him!!

Dr. Leffingwell is an attentive and concerned doctor. He went beyond treating the issue I was seeing him about when he noticed something suspicious on my skin and told me I needed to see a dermatologist. At home when I was on my computer trying to find a dermatologist I could get into see right away, I got a call from a dermatology office wanting to make an appointment. It turns out that Dr. Leffingwell had asked his nurse to contact that dermatologist to have them call me! I was surprised because I've never had a doctor go to the extra trouble about something outside his specialty. He's a great doctor and compassionate human being! The service is awesome. The front desk is very Professional as well as the wait time . The employees are always willing to assist you. I recommend Cross Timber to any one who is in need of a Ear,Nose, and Throat practice.

Dr. Leffingwell is such a great doctor, he always listens to me and takes the time to explain things to me. His nurse Michael is amazing and is always attentive and answers all my questions. Best ENT!

Dr Leffingwell has been my family's ENT since 1999. He has given us the best care possible. He takes his time and listens to the patient during the visit. Answers any questions we may have. I highly recommend Dr. Leffingwell to anyone who needs an ENT.

Dr. Leffingwell is very experienced, great with instrumentation, knows the uniqueness of treating sinuses, ears, throat, and head problems. If you have acute or chronic issues, you will get better after seeing him. From my heavy travel schedules, I can say there are so many other docs who do not how to effectivlely treat sinus exacerbations. The office staff are very helpful, and I recommend this practice.

De Leffingwell does not listen! I went in to get results from my CT scan of my neck and he basically dismissed my concerns. He didn’t communicate with the staff or me what he wanted me to do next and just basically left the room. I could keep going but I’m really upset that I was referred to him.

if it would be possible to rate Dr Leffingwell any lower we would do it my wife went to see him and had to wait 1 1/2 hrs to see him after a short period of time of the doctor not making sense regarding her issues she was having she left very dissatisfied so save your money don’t see this doctor ????????????????????????????????????????????????

Just spoke with the Receptionist Elizabeth...well...all I can tell you is she is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!! Very rude and does NOT know her job very well, and seems very uneducated. Hope they enjoy the 1 star. They do not deserve that because of her!

I am going out of my way to rate this dr. . My parents see different specialists and this dr is by far the worst we met. He has very bad bed side matters is arrogante and was really vage on his diagnosis on both of my parents.I read the other positive reviews and was wondering if we were talking about the same person.I don't reccomend this dr to anyone.Btw it is not just me,I took my mom there and my brother took my dad days apart and both of us were disappointed and frusted with the visits. Horrible. Leffingwell performed my total thyroidectomy and I truly feel like he has ruined my life. My vocal cord was paralyzed, therefore, I now have severe vocal, breathing and swallowing issues. I’m 2 months post op and have received very little help or a possible solution to fix the mess that he has created. He’s very brief an inattentive with his patients. You will wait 30 mins to an hour to be called back, then maybe get to spend 5 minutes with him and 3 of those minutes are of him looking at your chart, not saying a word. His nurses and staff are very rude and incompetent. I had my throat scoped after my surgery and the nurse was supposed to be spraying a numbing solution in my nose. She didn’t even realized that the canister was empty, but proceed to tell the doctor that I was numbed and ready. I, of course, told him that I wasn’t but he dropped the scope anyway. This has been a complete nightmare. I’ve been depressed since my TT. Please consider using a different ENT!

Having seen Dr. Leffingwell for a number of years, I can't imaging a better choice for an ENT!

Great guy, friendly, helpful and listened intently. I recommend him and his practice to anyone. Both the Arlington and Mansfield locations had very friendly and helpful staff. Both locations are easy to get to and park. Waiting room and pt. rooms were clean and spacious. Been to several ENTs over the years and quickly developed trust in Dr. Leffingwell when he didnt try and sell me on needless and expensive procedures. Thank you! All I needed was a doctor to look at my hearing test results and ok my hearing aids. The office staff in Mansfield is LOST. The online check in is a joke leftover from the 90's. Since they put my address in wrong I really had to hunt to do the checkin. Showed up for my appt and doctor was off in the ER. OK. Came back a week later and was handed more pages of forms to fill out. I said no and got my copay back. As I was leaving I heard them all laughing at me in the back.

Front desk and billing people don’t seem to know what they’re doing, rude. Last 2 times I have been here I have spent over an hour in the waiting room.

Dr. Leffingwell is very experienced and is thorough. Unfortunately, having only one exam room in his Mansfield office, and reception staff who did not process us properly, resulted in an over two hour wait before we were seen. Other patients were also getting frustrated at the wait. There is a fridge with water and some snacks provided for the wait, but really, one's time is precious and having to wait that long to see a doctor is not acceptable, no matter how professional or good he is.

Dr. Leffingwell is simply the best there is!

I have been seeing Dr. Leffingwell for, years now. He is hands down the best ENT I have ever met. I Highly recommend him to everyone. Always tell family and friends about him!

Dr Leffingwell is without a doubt the best ENT in DFW area. He's extremely professional, engaging and generous. He goes the extra mile for his patients! Very rare these days finding doctors like him.

This dr, when he did talk to us, was RUDE. My son, 19, and had an inner/exterior ear infection. His ear was so swollen there was barely an opening. Care Now prescribed drops & an antibiotic. It improved, but because my son complained of hearing issues we went to go to a specialist. The dr scoffed at previous treatment, jammed something in my son's ear with NO explanation and started sucking crap out. He mumbled some med terms and said to stop the meds and left. No concern for the hearing issues.

My son had tubes put in a year ago. We have had several visits and each time there is a problem. Today's problem was telling us the appointment was at 3:00, even the voicemail that we got the day before said 3:00. When we got there at 2:45, we were told he should have been there at 2:30. The office staff were rude and unhelpful, they didn't seem to care about my son. Done with this doctor (who has NO social skills).

Rushed, non involvement with patient. Very little time spent in listening to patients problems. No explanation of diagnosis. Do not plan to return.

So far not pleasant. No answers and no urgency. Seeking new doctor.
