Dr. K treated my mother and now me. He is a wonderful Doctor and has lots of knowledge.

If you are looking for an empathetic physician to guide through this journey- look elsewhere...

During a time of great emotional distress for my family, this physician was abrupt, arrogant, dismissive and rushed us through our appointment without answering all of our questions. We won't be returning.

He was dismissive and came across as arrogant. You’re better off going to Dr. Elle Friedman, who is also at VCI.

I felt as though I was auditing a professor's lecture using a dry erase board. His agenda was not to address my concerns, rather to stroke his ego. A compliant friend who asks no questions of any doctors believes he is terrific.

Dr Khatcheressian saw me for five years after I had surgery for a melanoma on my back. For the last two years he assured me and my wife that I was “cancer free.” In fact, the melanoma had metastasized throughout my body. My primary care physician discovered this, and I found a competent oncologist out of town. Dr K did not handle this well.

Dr. Khatcheressian (known by all as "Dr. K") has been my oncologist for three years. My cancer has followed a complex course, and Dr. K has been on top of it each step of the journey. He's compassionate, explains things well, and can answer questions from family members with levels of medical knowledge that vary widely without shortchanging anyone. He effectively treated my pain. He is very energetic, which can make him seem rushed. Some patients might have a problem with this. I haven't.

I disagree with the feedback left by some of the other reviewers . I have gone to him with a long list of questions and he has taken the time to answer them all completely. He's the only physician I've ever had who explained my condition and the treatment plan in such a way that I knew what to expect and when. He hit everything on the mark. I find him extremely compassionate and always helped me through the rough patches.,

Dr. Khatcheressian treatment my husband until he suffered an extravasation during one of his treatments. He was so self-absorbed, he couldn't be bothered to even see my husband when the event occurred. When we called him after going home, his answer to the amount of pain my husband was in was dismissive at best. The extravasation caused my husband to be on potent narcotic medications for the last year and a half of his life.

Great first visit. Each succeeding visit he seemed rushed and didn't want to answer my questions. He brushed them off as though he had decided what was best for me but wasn't willing to take time to understand my concerns.
