Only area for improvement is elevator crowding heading to 4th floor and down again. Given the pandemic, there was no room for proper spacing on the hospital's elevators. Otherwise, interaction with Dr. Ip was excellent, not rushed, clear, he knew details before we met so was prepared, etc.

Dr. Ip is conscientious, knowledgeable and takes his time to answer questions. His support staff Joanne, Julie and Alison are also wonderful.

Short but to the point

Office staff was able to schedule a video meeting with Dr Ip within a reasonable timeframe (not months away). Video meeting started promptly on time and Dr Ip took the time to listen and able to articulate and help understand the situation and discuss various treatment options to arm you with as much information to help you with your decisions. I saw him to discuss PVC and catheter abalation which is one of his areas of interest and expertise.

I saw him for a consultation regarding surgery that involved a new device and I felt very comfortable with making my decision after our visit. He informed me of the risks and the benefits of having the surgery. He was very knowledgeable and experienced. He spent plenty of time with me, I didn’t feel rushed at all. He answered all of my questions and quelled my fears. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a first rate cardiologist.

I enrolled in a clinical study and he was thoroughly familiar with the study and the long protocol to test my suitability for enrollment which was approved by the overseeing company. He and his assistant Grace were very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend his clinical services and his thorough kindness as a physician and person.

I recently had a teleconference with Dr. James Ip as I was undecided about making an appointment with him for a heart related medical procedure. Until our video conference I was uninformed and unsure about the merits of taking the next step with Dr. Ip's help. Our teleconference was a wonderful experience for me. Dr. Ip very clearly explained to me how the heart works in terms which I a non-medical person understood and in a likewise manner, he answered all my questions. I felt informed, confident and with the information he gave me and without any pressure for him to do so, I decided to proceed with the procedure which I will do this week.
