I am extremely happy with my cataract surgery. Felt very comfortable with Dr Hirschfeld. I was scared for so long and it was very easy. I can see great. Dr Hirschfeld is very nice and the girls in the office are so sweet. They make you feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend Dr Hirschfeld.

I had both cataracts done by Dr Hirschfeld and corrective implants put in. He took away all of my fears. I am so happy now. I recommend him to all my friends and family and I tell them yes that I am very happy with Dr Hirschfeld and you should go there for cataracts or any other reason.

I had cataract surgery in both eyes done by Dr. Hirschfeld. Everything went extremely well, as explained to me beforehand. Everything was done perfectly. Everyone in the office was great. This is the best run office I have seen. There were no doubts in my mind - it's a heck of a practice.

Dr Hirschfeld performed my cataract surgery in both eyes and I can now see 20/20 without glasses. I have had an excellent experience here. I am so grateful that my friend Pat Mezzo referred me here! I am very disappointed!! Before seeing the doctor today, I decided to leave the office. I was asked to purchase a doctor's mandated mask before seeing this doctor. The multilayered fabric mask that I was wearing, given to me by Drug product manufacturing Pharmaceutical company for their production staff, was rejected. The extra charge for the mask was nothings compared to the doctor's charges, that I was willing to pay. It was the matter of principle. If the doctor feels it's important to wear their preferred mask, they should provide it, instead of capitalizing on the current situation. So sad!! To purchase a doctor's preferred mask to wear in their office, is not a CDC requirement or mandated by the NJ state.

I went to Lakeland for 5 or 6 years. I would spent 2 to 3 hours for an annual eye check up every time. The staff is knowledgeable, professional and friendly. However any doctor that consistently overbooks or allows their staff to overbook them loses me as a customer/patient. I have gone elsewhere and am very happy.

Dr Hirschfeld is a pleasant, professional doctor and did a great job on my cataract surgery. I would recommend Dr Hirschfeld to anybody.

I recommend Dr Hirschfeld. I just had cataract surgery on my right eye by Dr Hirschfeld. I was able to compare two doctors because i had my left eye done previously by another doctor. Because I can make a comparison, I can tell you that Dr Hirschfeld did a much better job on the cataract surgery on my right eye. I am much happier with the result, so the doctor you go to does make a difference! Everything went smooth as clockwork.

The doctor is very professional, understanding, and spends enough time that you feel confident in him. I had cataract surgery in both eyes and now I am thrilled that I have 20/20 vision in both eyes - even without any glasses. The staff in the office is very professional. Everyone here is very nice and accommodating.

Excellent. Excellent. Staff is excellent. I had cataract surgery done by Dr Hirschfeld on both eyes. I did not feel any pain - nothing at all. Not after surgery - not at all. I was scared because I thought I would have pain but I had no pain at all. I am seeing very clear in both eyes. I am VERY happy with the surgery. I would tell all of my friends to see Dr Hirschfeld.

I am very happy with the results of my cataract surgeries. It was very easy and I can see amazing. I can drive and see far down the road. Before, it was scary to drive and now I can see great. I love the girls who work in the office. The office staff is great!! Everything here has been great!!

Everyone is friendly and nice people in the office. My sister is coming also to get her cataract surgery!! And years ago, Dr Hirschfeld removed metal in my brother-in-law's eye after he had a little accident. We have been so happy with Dr Hirschfeld and we are so happy to recommend him.

I just had cataract surgery in both eyes and now I can see 20/20 in both eyes with no glasses. I can tell you that the whole experience was very smooth for me and I am seriously eye-phobic! It's wonderful to see again and I thank Dr Hirschfeld and his staff for his professionalism and follow-up. Any calls were promptly responded to and everyone was really great. I would recommend Dr Hirschfeld to anyone with any eye issues. Definitely.

My sister and I both had our cataract surgeries performed by Dr Hirschfeld - an amazing ophthalmologist. Ever since I had the surgery, my vision is wonderful. Dr. Hirschfeld has been my ophthalmologist for a number of years. He has continually helped me to take excellent care of my eyes. Recently, Dr. Hirschfeld performed two capsulotomies, one for each eye. The procedures were very successful. I love to take photos and shoot videos, so it is important to me that my eyesight is great. And it is. Dr. Hirschfeld has made it possible for me to enjoy the beauty in nature. His staff is friendly and very professional. I highly recommend him.

I came to see Dr Hirschfeld for an emergency. I could not see clearly with my left eye and I was in a LOT of pain. I had gone to the ER and they told me there was nothing in my eye. After two more days of suffering, I came to see Dr Hirschfeld. He found something in my left eyelid which was scratching me constantly. Dr Hirschfeld and the staff were so nice - they fit me in right away. Dr Hirschfeld removed the object which was causing the problem. I recommend Dr Hirschfeld to anyone for eye care

Dr. James Hirschfeld is the only opthamologist I would trust with my eyes. He is knowledgeable and very professional and thorough. He has been my eye doctor for the last 13 1/2 years, and I am so glad he was recommended to me by my internist. He is caring and never rushes through an examination, so that’s why patients have to have patience. He performed cataract surgery on both my eyes, with fabulous results. I have recommended him to my children and my friends.

I have been going to Dr Hirschfeld for years and I have always been extremely pleased. Dr Hirschfeld treats my dry eye and performs all of my routine exams, and helps me with my glasses. The office is spotlessly clean, and Dr Hirschfeld and his staff are very careful to wash their hands every time they come into the room - -and that is very important to me. If you need an eye doctor, you should see Dr Hirschfeld.

Dr James Hirschfeld is a genius. I always tell him that. He was able to make me see clearly again. He performed my cataract surgeries in both eyes and I am beyond pleased. Anyone with any kind of eye problem should see Dr James Hirschfeld. Excellent doctor. Very caring. Staff is congenial and warm. The office atmosphere is very warm.

RUN!!! I went to Dr. Hirschfeld with a stye. He injected it with a steroid shot. The swelling went down but it left me with a chalazion. The chalazion got bigger and bigger. I kept going to my follow up appointments and he would say to continue using warm compresses. No matter how many warm compresses I applied it progressively got worse. I BEGGED him to take it out. By the time he removed it, it was so large and pressing on my eyeball blurring my vision. Had to see ocuplastic surgeon after.

Would have given 5 stars except for tendency to overbook, creating long wait times in between tests and examinations.

Dr. Hirschfeld and his team were amazing today! I woke up with something in my eye. As the day went on I couldn't even keep my eye open, so I located an ophthalmologist near my office. Dr. Hirschfeld and his team immediately accommodated me. Dr. Hirschfeld was so amazingly helpful and knowledgeable that I will now make him my future Ophthalmologist. Turns out I had a small piece of metal in my eye. He brought me comfort immediately and explained everything fully. 5 stars from me. LisaQ

Dr. Hirschfeld is very personable, knowledgeable and highly skilled ophthalmologist. I recently underwent cataract surgery and am extremely satisfied with results. His office staff are well-trained, friendly and very helpful. The surgical staff was warm and caring. They took very good care of me during the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Hirschfeld for routine eye care as well as for cataract surgery. My surgery was swift, painless and I was given easy, but comprehensive instructions both pre and post-op. His office staff is efficient and friendly. I couldn't recommend him more highly!!

Went to Dr. Hirschfeld based on a friends recommendation. Glad I did. The appointments leading up to my cataract surgery went very smoothly as did the cataract removal/lens replacement. Planning to have the other eye done within the next month or so. My wife will start using Dr. Hirschfeld too. The video on cataract removal helped me understand the problem and solution.

Dr Hirschfeld has been taking care of my eyes for about 4 years. He was referred to me by another patient. I find him to be very professional and thorough. and I would feel good about referring him to others.

I would highly recommend Dr. Hirschfeld. He is very thorough, knowledgeable and has been educated at the best schools and hospitals. He identified a problem with my husband's retina early, so it never progress to a difficult situation. He has a nice personality and answers all my questions.

My wife and I have been Dr. Hirschfeld's patients for several years. So far, I have 20/20 vision for the first time in 70 years. He is actively monitoring my wife's type Ii diabetes and its effects on vision. Under emergency conditions and severe pain, he engaged a specialist who solved the problem. We deal with him with the utmost confidence and highly recommend him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hirschfeld for over a decade. I have never been refused an appointment on the same day I have called with a problem and that has happened several times. Dr. Hirschfeld removed my cataracts from both eyes about a year ago. It was fast, painless, and my eyesight is exactly as I told him I wanted it to be. My immediate and extended family has been using Dr. Hirschfeld for over 15 years. He is the consummate professional and one time he even came into his office on a Sunday afternoon for a child that was injured in a soccer game. I can't recommend him enough.

Always a great experience at their office. They are super friendly and really know their stuff. Dr. Hirschfeld is a great doctor.

Dr. Hirschfeld worked quickly to resolve the conjunctivitis and the red eye side effects to Dupixent. He saw me many times in the first couple of weeks and everything worked out well. I am now able to take Dupixent and have a much better quality of life because of it. But I would not be able to take the Dupixent without Dr. Hirschfeld's help. He has kept a close watch on me and through appropriate eye drop treatment I am eczema free and my eyes are OK.

I had cataract surgery with Dr. Hirschfeld in May of 2017! I can't say enough good thins about the Dr. and his staff! Very great Dr. and staff!!!
