Dr. Hardacker has done 6 back surgeries for me. I have degenerative disk disease. He's very thorough and listens to your concerns. He takes his time with you. I highly recommend him. He's very easy to talk to.

I was recommended to Dr. Hardacker by Dr. Weldon Egan. I had been getting epidurals with Dr. Egan & they were no longer working. I went in thinking I was going to have an outpatient / band-aid surgery for a pinched sciatic nerve. After x-rays, Dr. Hardacker explained I would need L4 - L5 Spinal Fusion surgery. He also said I would need to have my right hip replaced as well. I was allowed to pick my own surgery date & the subsequent time of my surgery. It took place on 07/29/19 at 12:00 PM. The surgery was performed at the Indiana Spine Hospital (it's like a 5-star resort) in Carmel, IN. I spent two (2) nights in the hospital & was off work 7 weeks. He then referred me to Dr. Michael Meneghinni who replaced my right hip on 12/23/19. I was in the hospital overnight & was off work 8 weeks. I had lived with chronic pain for 10.5 years. I'm happy to say I am living completely pain-free & wearing stilettos again. These two (2) doctors are tops in their respective fields.

Indiana workmanscomp HACK!

I was in so much pain I couldn’t walk. I went to other doctors and they acted like it was all in my head because they didn’t see anything. It was so relieving once I had a appointment. I scheduled my surgery and I was nervous for a moment. Dr Hardaker and in to check on me before hand and then they gave me some relaxer because I’m scared of everything. With covid I didn’t want to do surgery. The hospital wipes even your phone down. Dr. Hardaker never let me feel my pain. The nurses in the hospital rocked!! I highly recommend him. The only thing I would say is when you come in to see him, make sure you have extra time. It’s always an hour or hour half. However he doesn’t leave you till all your questions are answered and he can be as slow as he wants because I know my spine is in GREAT hands. I was in so much pain I couldn’t walk. I would give him more than 5 stars if possible. Dr. Hardacker is very knowledgeable and confident. He takes the time to explain what your issue is and how it needs to be corrected. His winning personality and wit mixed in with the information put any fears I had to rest.

He has operated on my spine 2 times and I could not be happier with the results. I am 72 years old and have had 27 surgeries in my life, he is the best I have ever had and i feel fortunate to call him my Doctor.

i read the reviews on Dr. Hardacker myself before scheduling an appt with him. Mostly positive but theres always those couple people you simply cannot satisfy no matter what. So i took my chances and made an appt. i was pretty much desperate for relief. i instantly liked him and i thought he was very personable i never felt like he was rushed. Confident but approachable not arrogant. i had a laminectomy and Spinal fushion of my L5- S1 and i am now at approx 10 weeks post-op. i still have long road ahead of me but i already feel like he has given me my life back. i read the reviews on Dr. Hardacker myself before scheduling an appt with him. I first went to Dr. Hardacker regarding my constant back pain and left leg sciatica. He reviewed my previous MRI and suggested surgery, which I was also wanting to do since suffering for years with the back pain and 7 months with the sciatica. He was so informative, told me exactly what he would do (fusion), offered to talk to my kids about my surgery and after surgery care. He saw me the 3 days I was in the hospital and always was very kind and also has a great sense of humor.

I saw Dr. Hardacker for a review on my cervical spine surgery that was done by another doctor as I had been told I had non union. Dr. Hardacker told me good news about my neck. What I really appreciated is that he took the time to educate me on my spine. Few surgeons spend the time educating their patients on their conditions, and we as informed patients can make better decisions about our health and options when we have the facts. The nice thing is I only had to wait 10 min to be called in

I had my first visit Jan 2016. Visit was for pinched nerve in right leg. (common problem ) had an out patient surgery which resulted with much worse pain. Had a second surgery in march which had two day stay in hospital which resulted with rods and pins no success and still severe pain. After seven months and five useless injections i traveled to Boston Mass and had a 45 minute exam and my problem was diagnosed. I had surgery and spent three days recovering before I came home, Healed......

Does a great job of explaining what medical condition you have and how to treat it. I never feel rushed in his office. He spend a lot of time with his patients.
