Dr. James D Fonger

I am so thankful I decided to make the decision to have my veins repaired. Dr Fonger is amazing as well as his staff. I plan on having some additional work to remove my spider veins in a couple weeks so I can wear summer sandals without the ugly spider veins showing. They took great care of me. I would recommend them to anyone that may be hesitant about having vein ablation.

Absolutely The Best Experience I have had with any Medical Professional as well as his Group of Employees, It's Rare to find such a Practice such as there's! I highly Recommended to Everyone.

The front desk folks were great and made it easy for me to schedule appts. The nurses did an outstanding job taking care of me. Dr. Fonger was very thorough, explained everything, and answered my questions. My legs definitely do not feel as "heavy" since they completed my varicose vein procedures.

Dr. Fonger and his staff are amazing! I wish I could remember each staff member's name so I could mention them individually, but, literally, each and every person in that office is kind, professional and respectful. Dr. Fonger is not only a talented surgeon, but is down to earth and approachable. We had great conversation during the procedure. The procedure itself is not bad. I was worried about that, but at worst I would call it slightly uncomfortable. And it is over so quickly! Plus, when I left, I was able to go to work and was completely fine. I wish I hadn't waited so long to have this done! I highly recommend this office!

I’m not a big review leaver, however I’m a big review reader and I felt like I should post one on this facility because it might assist those that may be in the same position as I was…very nervous about selecting the right, trustworthy place. I had visited another facility a few years back and it turned me off because I just felt like a number, herding you through the consultation to get your appointments scheduled. I left as fast as I could. Dr. Fonger’s office is NOT like that. From the consultation through all the treatment visits, this team made you feel like they cared, you were an individual, listened to your concerns and made you feel comfortable at every step. They were honest in what to expect and I appreciated that very much. I’m not gonna lie, it’s an uncomfortable (but tolerable) procedure, but the end game is what we were going for and I’m better for going through it. All the staff I interacted with were so friendly, kind and caring…Linda, Daisy and Carla. And the front office that I saw each time…Taleshia and Michael, y’all are the best. Dr. Fonger really puts you at ease and has the best stories to distract you during the procedures. Hope I don’t ever have to do it again, but if I did I would definitely go back to them. I was very happy with the office environment - clean, pleasant, comfortable, efficient, professional and current. The staff from the front desk to the MA's and surgical assistants and especially Dr. Fonger offered a professional, but personal and compassionate patient care. Everything is explained in detail from procedures to options the patient has. I had vein ablations and the preparation of the surgical suite and me was very impressive. I was having problems with varicose veins and swelling in both legs. I reluctantly scheduled an appointment with Dr Fonger after seeing the poor results my husband had with another vein clinic, which advertises on TV. A prompt appointment was made with Dr Fonger and I have to say that my entire experience with him and the the Center for Vein Restoration in Lawrenceville were beyond my best expectations. During the entire processes of ablation on veins in both legs and subsequent removal of my varicose veins, both the office staff, technicians, nurses, and physicians were outstanding. Office staff were incredible! Friendly and nice and very interested in helping you. Dr Fonger was very nice and helpful. Willing to answer and give as much knowledge for my care in recovering. Had vein surgery in the office at 7am and was at work by 9:30am with moderate discomfort. Nothing some regular Tylenol didn't help with. I defiantly recommend you going to this office if you have issues with swelling or veins in your legs. 1 month after surgery I am noticing a difference. For a number of years, I have suffered with RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) and I read on the internet that there was no cure and no known cause. My wife researched the issue and found that some with RLS had been cured with vein treatment. I asked my GP and he referred me to Dr Fonger. I signed up for he treatments and the first one gave me a bad sleepless night of RLS. After that I didn't have a problem. I stopped taking my expensive medication and haven't had another problem. meeting Dr Fonger turned out to be truly a life changing experience. i had been suffering from a tired heavy feeling in my legs as well as severe cramping throughout my legs on a DAILY BASIS. Dr Fonger explained to me that this was an issue with my veins not nutrition. Dr. Fonger is so efficient and easy to talk to about your medical concerns. I also love the fact the front desk staff talked to you about things not related to their field and made you feel at ease about seeing the doctor. Vein ablation on my legs made a big difference in the swelling of my legs when standing 10 hours at work. Also helped with my legs cramping at night. I would recommend anybody to take into consideration having this procedure done if needed.

I had not paid particular attention to the heaviness in my legs I just chalked it up to being older and tired. After finding out that I indeed had venous insufficiency I scheduled my appointments to have vein ablation. Because I was so nervous about the procedures, I chose to do them with nitrous oxide. YES! DO IT! As a backpacker and outdoorsman, I am a HUGE fan of Dr. Fonger and his beautiful staff! A few years ago, I began to experience big, painful, swollen veins in my upper legs. The left leg was especially affected, and very painful to the touch. Two years ago I noticed that both of my ankles would swell badly if I was on my feet for any extended period of time. I began to experience bruises around my ankles that appeared from nowhere. Finally took the plunge and went to see Dr. Fonger @ Vein Atlanta. They’re the nicest folks in the medical field. Dr. Fonger and I have a shared interest in flying, so we got along well! His staff are ALL beautiful, educated ladies, and they know their business. I’ve nothing but good things to say about everyone at Vein Atlanta. If you have issues like I did, please take the time to, at the very least, get a consultation with them. The procedures themselves were not painful at all. I was terrified at first, but grew confident as the procedures progressed. As I said, no pain! Since I wasn’t used to these procedures, the feeling is just odd. Lots of tugging and pulling, but absolutely no pain. That’s the best way for me to describe it. Recovery is minimal. You’ll look like a mummy for one day, and then you wear compression stockings for a bit. It’s been 3 months since my procedures. No longer do I have big, ugly veins on my legs. No more swelling at my ankles. My legs feel “lighter”. I worked for Amazon for a month, and I walked an average of 12 miles a day, every single day. You’re not allowed to sit down, EVER. Prior to visiting Dr. Fonger's office, my legs felt heavy, my veins were very visible and I was constantly experiencing cramping. I had both legs worked on. Today, my legs feel energized (even though I stand for more than 17 hours daily), I no longer am cramping and my veins are not visible. Dr. Fonger's and his entire staff provided superior medical care. They were caring and very easy to work with. If you are experiencing any discomfort, definitely visit their office.
