I went to get my legs measured, because one is longer than the other. They said let's go to x-rays. I told them I didn't do x- rays and that if they couldn't measure my legs Without x-rays I will get treated elsewhere. Then they said they could do it without x-rays. The doctor talked so fast, he couldn't wait to get me out of there. They are not so happy when someone is non compliant to their money sucking rules. They would like to give you as many unnecessary radiation as they think you can afford or your insurance can afford. Until you walk out glowing. I don't like Maine general and their policies. I needed hernia surgery, Maine general told me I needed a heart X- ray before surgery. And also told me I need the nerves cut. I said no f way. I went to St. Joe's in Bangor where I needed no chest x-ray or nerves cut. St. Joe's did a wonderful job. Beside my general doctor Greg Feero, I have had a horrible time with operations at Maine general. I think if I went in there for a hangnail they would call for a full round of x-rays.
