Dr. James Covalesky

Rude office staff for the most part. Dr. Covalesky came in 15 minutes late for my appointment, causing me to rush my visit, which was the first appointment of the day. My time is valuable, too, but I was not made to feel that I matter. I was treated like a number by both the office staff and the doctor. I had zero communication about my blood work for a week and a halj; God forbid I should get a phone call to let me know that everything is okay or it isn't - I had to wait until my appointment to hear the results. Yes, I got the email from Quest, but I'm not a doctor and should not be redirected to know what the Quest results mean. I need a doctor who cares about me and who I can trust with my health. I do not trust Dr. Covalesky, he does not seem to have my best interest at heart.

Dr. Covalesky is very attentive, and provides kind, knowledgeable and personalized attention. I have an unfortunate number of chronic conditions and I have never met a primary care physician who had so much knowledge, so much compassion, and so many actionable plans to improve my quality of life. So glad I found this doctor.

This doctor is the name as PCP on my insurance card and his office always give me appointments with the APN Tara Arroyo. And last time I went for my regular check up she wrote blood test and when I did it, I received the results from quest second day and waited more than 3 weeks for the office to call me and when they did they didn’t explain anything except that they are sending me another blood test and when I got the letter, I got a blood test and a CT calcium Score test which I had to Google to understand what is this and it is out of pocket test and when I called to understand why she wrote that, the girl in the office was very rude and didn’t connect me to the main doctor or the APN Tara but she said if you don’t want to do it it is up to you. I can keep going on but I will stop now.

Nooooooo.My sister, who was a long time patient of Dr. Covalesky unexpectedly passed away this week at a young age. Dr. Covalesky was aware that she died. I called his office as I was having a mental breakdown and needed something to calm me. He did not get on the phone. Tara did not get on the phone. They did not have the basic human dignity to express any condolences to me, although I am also a long standing patient. Can you really be that cruel and insensitive. Is there no humanity left? I will never never go to their offices again. This is what I call cold callous and mercenary.

Pleasant, as well as knowledgeable, as I experienced he was able to listen to and discuss in more detail my ailments and what steps I needed to be taking. I realized at the end of my visit that he was the medical doctor I was comfortable with and made a choce for his professional advice.

Decent guy -definitely did not hear me when I expressed concerns , I felt that he wasn’t aware that I was the paying customer. Needed minor prescriptions filled during covid and was told I needed to come in for a visit - when I expressed concerns about Monmouth county being a hot spot and had a 12% increase in COVID cases and that I would do a teleconference , I was ignored. When I reluctantly agreed to an appointment, my prescription still wasn’t filled . I am not a big complainer but I have been on this medication for 10plus years , it is not a controlled substance , this is the second time I needed something and made to feel like the office visit fee was their major concern , I felt so taken advantage of that I offered to pay them the fee , if they needed the money so bad. Doctors in the area that take my insurance are dime a dozen, I will look for one that seems to care about me and at least pretend its not a money issue.

He rates a number ten . He is an outstanding doctor. Great bedside manner and he listens to you.

Dr. Covalesky is a doctor like no other! His bedside manners are incredible! He takes the time needed to make sure you are comfortable with all your concerns and goes over everything thoroughly. He treats you like family rather than just "another patient" and goes out of his way for his patients. Aside from being a wonderful human being he is an excellent and knowledgeable physician that will do what it takes to keep you healthy and find a cure for a medical problem, as long as you listen to his medical advice. I have so much trust in him that I have brought my husband, parents and mother in law into his practice as his patients. The staff in his office are also very friendly and always eager to assist you. He is truly the best primary care physician I have ever encountered!!

I’m patient over 12 Years . Dr. Covalevsky great doctor, very professional , friendly & always helpful ! Highly recommended!

Doctor Covalesky has been a very good Physician to us. Always encourage us to eat healthy an be in a good shape. His office is always packed but the attention is good.

Doctor and the office staff are great but be prepared to wait atleast an hour every visit

I moved from northern NJ and needed to change doctors. I really just took a chance and could not have made a better choice. He truly cares and spends a lot of time with you. He is knowledgeable and listens to what you have to say. He does not make you feel like what you ask is unimportant. Thanks Doc.

Dr Covalesky is very knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate, and takes the time to answer your questions. His staff researched my necessary results from other Doctors for a clear and concise diagnosis whilst I was in the office and Dr. Covaleski explained every point clearly.

He is a caring. He has wonderful bedside manners and shows utmost concern and respect for his patients. Simply put Dr. C is a great doctor.
