I have an odd condition that causes pain in my lower back and leg. He figured out how to provide relief in a quick and relatively pain-free way. I get these injections a couple times a year and live a pretty normal life from the pain standpoint. He's got a great sense of humor too

I have been a patient of Dr. Brunz for close to 10 years. He has been nothing but professional and courteous. I like that he never seems like he is in a hurry. He takes time to answer all questions I have. He also explains things so I understand what he is talking about. He is a wonderful doctor.

Not impressed. Appointment was at 8:30 AM, waited in exam room until 10:00 AM. This was my first visit which lasted about 10 minutes after traveling 90 miles from out of town.

Dr. Brunz is very nice and has a lot of patience when explaining what he’s going to be doing. He also lets you ask as many questions about the procedure as you want he never rushes you. The visits have been fine. I just wish the Dr. would write about our visit. Not everything else. I would like to see notes on my visit not a brief description. I know I'm over weight and I'm trying to take care of it. Tired of seeing it in my notes, or getting handed a pamphlet on healthy eating.

Dr. James Brunz is amazing! He spends time you needed to treat you in the most appropriate way! He evaluates the best course of treatment and thoroughly explains alternatives to you. He is clear and concise so you make an informed decision. His PA, Pam is also his sidekick and does a fabulous job working w/Dr. Brunz! They are the "A" team! They are kind, caring, and compassionate. You are not a number at this clinic, you are THEIR PATIENT! I had a pain stimulator implanted 6 to 8 months ago with a pain level over a 10. This pain has been with me for years and after numerous surgery's from another hospital there was no success to alleviate my back pain. With 2 visits to Dr. Brunz and a pain stimulator, I am now at a level 0 to a 3 most of the time for back pain. I have my life back and am able to now walk to the mailbox and get my own mail! I am no longer dependent upon my wife to do everything for me. I have independence! Thank you Dr. Brunz and Staff!!!

I would say that from my very first visit with Dr. Brunz I knew I was in good hands. I originally met with him regarding neck pain issues I was experiencing and had been going on for some time. Whether it was at the Orthopedic Institute, Midwest Pain Specialists or the Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital, Dr. Brunz and the entire staff were very friendly, professional and thorough in explaining each phase of my treatment and/or procedures. I couldn't be more pleased.

Dr Brunz was very concerned about my present condition, he explained what my options were with my condition he was very matter of fact. We discussed what I could expect in the future if I did or did not have surgery. He made it very clear what my condition would become. He also gave me his medical recommendation of what I should do. He listened to my concerns and we discussed them. After my appointment I felt I had all the information I needed to make the best decision about surgery.

I cannot say enough about the quality of care and the results. Within hours, my pain had diminished for the first time in months. Dr. Brunz and all his staff are truly 5-star!

Dr. Brunz performed Rhizotomy surgery on my lower back. After two days, the pain has been reduced to just a fraction of what it was. From my arrival to departure, Dr Brunz and his entire staff were very professional, concerned and pleasant. Highly recommended.

Doctor Brunz has compassion for his patients, I have been seeing him for 8 years and my Spinal Stenosis is very painful. He never gives up on trying everything possible to help me cope with chronic pain, and that makes him "Best in Class" in my opinion!!! Been suffering Severe back pain for a little over a year now. Dr Brunz performed an ablasion surgery on my lower back Tuesday April 28, 2020. From my arrival, getting tested before I could enter the specialty hospital to my discharge later in the day everything was smooth and the care was exceptional. Dr Brunz, PA Kendall and team are amazing! I still don’t understand why i waited so long to go.??....They have many ways to treat many kinds of chronic pain. I find much relief from trigger point injections and a few other suggestions they’ve offered. Don’t wait like i did- make an appointment- relief is possible!

Dr. Brunz takes time to talk and listen to me. He answers all my questions. Dr. Brunz has given me several injections and had made them as painless as possible. He has a gentle touch.

Have not seen Dr. Brunz the last couple times I have been to an app't, but have seen Pam. After x-rays were taken this last time, she said she had discussed with Dr. Brunz what they are going to try for my terrible back pain & Diana has since called & said up an app't for me for trial stimulation. I sincerely hope this works & I know that Dr. Brunz will try his best. It isn't his fault my back is in such shape. At times it is very painful & taking away my quality of life.

I've seen Dr. Brunz for over 3 years now. He's been the only doctor and I've seen quite a few. All except Dr Brunz threw pain pills at me. Dr Brunz put in this pain stimulator and now no more pain pills. He's now seeing several of my friends and family.

I recently had a Radio Frequency ablation performed by Dr.Brunz, and it was done in the Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital. They did an excellent job and the staff was great. I would recommend Dr. Brunz and his staff for any pain management procedures .

it took a while to get it sorted out, but all &all I am home recovering from the surgery, and at this time i am having no leg pain , time will tell. so far I am very happy.

I have been having headaches and dizziness and upset stomach for years and have been doctoring. It is caused by my neck. After being referred to Dr Brunz and finding out he had a procedure and treatment for this and wow what a difference in my life this has made!

Before being sent to Dr. Brunz I had went through a back surgery, injections, physical therapy, more injections, 2 years of pain management and being on every medicine out there with no relief in sight. I was glad to just try something different. After the spinal stimulator trial I was just happy to be able to function again and could definitely feel a part of society again. I've been able to build myself back up to be able to work full time again. My stimulator is definitely the best thing that has happened to me since my injury. And a big thank you goes out to Dr. Brunz and his amazing team around him.

Quick and got all questions answered

Great care with thorough explanations. Staff was friendly and treatment plan was timely. Some have complained about seeing a PA. My experience is that his staff are wonderful and in order to see and help the most people you need to have a great team. I would highly recommend.

He is a great dr is you can see him. I have had to walk out about 5 times because waiting over an hr an half and this is not even being taken to the room to start with the nurse. Out of the 5 apt that I actually waited for I had to see the pa. I drove 1.5 hrs to see him because it would have been a month in Sioux Falls. I was waiting in the waiting room for an hr and walked out because it was going to be a two plus hr visit with almost no time.
