About Dr. James D Ausfahl
Reviews for Dr. James D Ausfahl
Always friendly, good natured, informed, and professional.
Went to see him because I could not see my regular doctor due to insurance issues. He did a regular exam and then did a COVID test and prescribed me nothing for my respiratory issues even though my COVID results came back negative and I called back after all continuing to experience the same symptoms and spiking a low grade fever and he prescribed me a nasal allergy medication. Allergies don't cause you to have a fever. Would not recommend seeing this guy.
After expressing my dissatisfaction with another staff member over the phone due a delay in care resulting me missing days of my depression, anxiety, and PTSD medication, I made a same-day appointment with Doctor Ausfahl to rectify things. Ausfahl came in without knocking and immediately scolded me, whilst standing above me and pointing his finger in my face. I let him speak and when he was finished attempted to respond but was continually interrupted and repeatedly told to "bottle it" if I wanted the appointment to continue. He told me if I didn't like the care they provided that I could leave and go elsewhere, knowing full well that I was out of meds and had no choice but to sit through the appointment regardless of how I was treated, or risk go even longer without my medication. I was nothing but polite to him and told him I didn't understand why he was acting so rudely, he told me that my not understanding was a "me problem" and said "stop mentioning it. You understand me? It's finished. Move on." He proceeded to ignore my concerns and any input I gave regarding the things I wanted to address medically. He showed no remorse and offered no apology as I panicked and cried throughout the appointment, telling me to "get up there" on the table for the assessment and continuing to tell me to take deep breaths as if I was not clearly distressed. I have never felt so dehumanized as I did as this man continued an assessment I felt I couldn't say no to. I have worked in healthcare for 10 years myself and have never witnessed a doctor behave in such an abusive manner. I believe that because I advocated for myself and expressed dissatisfaction after his office dropped the ball that I was retaliated against and bullied by this doctor. After my appointment I was not given an after appointment summary and was told I could just leave. Upon calling the pharmacy, the doctor prescribed a medication for weightloss that I did not request and was given no information on. After looking it up online it appears I have several contraindications. This is dangerous and reckless behavior. This guy seemed nice enough the first couple times I saw him but there is no excuse for the way I was treated today. Avoid at all costs! First visit today went very well. Very friendly staff and the Doc has a great sense of humor which can put you at ease. Was great with answering questions that I had.

He is very kind and incredibly intelligent!
Dr Ausphal has treated me well over past 4 years. His experience provides quick diagnosis. He likes to share jokes, which should put you at ease if you are nervous.

He’s the worst doctor ive ever seen. He doesnt knock before he walks into your room and he prescribes you a prescription without even telling you what he’s prescribing it for.
He is very rude. He saw my mother and was aggressive when he touched her. When she complained of how hard he grabbed her head he stated " are we gonna do this my way cause if not you will need to reschedule our visit". Very rude..
I love Dr. Asfahl!

Had a pre-employment exam with him. I knew within 30 seconds that he was a looney tune. Very strange demeaner. At the end of the exam, he asked if i knew that i had a hernia. I was stunned and replied that i was not aware of it. He then removed his exam gloves and left the room, never returning or explaining the hernia. I had to call the clinic the next day to ask if i passed or failed the exam. i passed, so i assume he was joking. NOT FUNNY!!!!!!
