Dr. Jaime L Vivas

I highly recommend Dr. Vivas. I have been seeing him for 13 years now. He has always acted in a professional manner and Dr Vivas has always taken his time with me and answered any of my questions. Also, He will sit and just listen to me. His Staff has always treated me with respect. Dr Vivas, Charlotte and Nurse Nancy Rocks!!!! Charlotte and Nurse Nancy are the ones I always see or talk too.

Please don't waste your time and find a real doctor. I waited for 3 weeks only to be told that I can't schedule an appointment with him. They didn't even called, I did. What a insensitive staff. They must think I'm at home enjoying myself when I'm in a lot of pain. I would give a zero stars if I could.

Great customer service!! Love the staff when you call they take care of whatever you need without hesitating!!

I have been calling the office and my doctor has sent referrals to them and I still can't get anyone to answer the phone. This has been going on since july 2020 and it jan 2021. I did speak to the office once and was told they were accepting new patients. I even verified the fax #. I still have not heard anything

Dr.Lopez and his extremely competent Staff set the Standards of Professional Practice which others should be gauged. You bet I would recommend people to him. He is caring and is very familiar with my rheumatoid arthritis. Everyone in his office is awesome. Nancy, Charlotte, Cindy, Leslie and Fe.

Genuinely agree with the previous reviewer. Personally, perceived a bit of prejudice/racism from this rheumatology provider. It's hard to prove; however, this was one's honest experience.

I have seen Dr. Vivas for years and he has always been very easy to talk to. He always listens if there is a concern I want to discuss with him. The office staff is always friendly and helpful. I have always gotten call backs from the nursing staff when I have called and left messages. I do know that they are extremely busy. Extremely professional and thorough. Staff very friendly. After many years of trying to find out what I had Dr. Vivas found out what condition I have. Very pleased.

Dr Vivas and office staff are excellent. He always takes the time to listen but above that his office staff is caring and compassionate. Most of all very helpful with any need I may have. I appreciate all of you because it takes all of you to make a great team!

Terrible service. If you miss 3 appointments, even when calling, he will drop you as a patient and not bother to inform you of it so when you call to reschedule they tell you “he doesn’t want to see you anymore.” Won’t refer you to another rheumatologist.. you have to have your primary care physician refer you to another one. Never go see him. He pushes medications on you even when you say no. Terrible service. It took 4 phone call and 3 weeks to come to get through this unproffesional office staff. Call 1) i'd like to make an appt please....well ( snicker) youll need a refferal. So I call my GP and request one be sent. Week later no call no so I call again 2) oh we got it but we will need lab work too ( that would have been so handy to know the 1st time) so i go thru the channels to request those be sent over as well even tho they only show negative testing for rheumatoid only. My GP reports it took 3 tries and 2 phone calls to get labs to office staff as tbey had no fax paper in their machine3) week later as I've heard nothing again I call on a Friday...they it work 4 days a week and 2 hrs off for lunch so u need to call bk Monday.. so Monday I call even tho I was told they would call ME after Vivas reviews my chart. I received no call so 4th try i get huffy off i e staff that reports Dr Vivax has decided not to take me on as patient . No reason given . I have excellent insurance. Now I am more than 3 weeks delayed on starting the process to figure out my terrible joint pain. I would steer eay clear of this unprofessional office staff and uncaring doctor. Dr. Vivas and his staff have always been a wonderful and inviting help to me. I have had RA for years and they continue to help me find the best medicines and try to keep me moving with this very debilitating disease.

My son and I absolutely love Dr. Vivas. He never rushes the appointment, listens to all your concerns, and makes a plan with you to treat your issues. He's compassionate and has great "bedside manner." When every other doctor blew off my son's symptoms, he took them seriously and got them under control. I would absolutely recommend him. Dr.Vivas is doctor who listens to you. I could follow his logical thinking process. A process of elimination. It all made sense to me. I'm thankful that he took me in as a new patient. My case is complicated which required many tests, and xrays. During the second visit, he went over the results and gave me a series of treatment options, with his guidance I was an active participant of what course to take. My opinion mattered and his expertise has made a big difference in my well being.

Discourteous and unprofessional office staff took three weeks to try to get an appointment and they never read the referral sent over from my doctor were out of fax paper the third time we tried to send it then he finally just said he wasn't going to take me as a patient with no reason why so now I'm 3 weeks late on getting my terrible pain taken care of. I would steer clear of this unprofessional uncaring doctor!

Dr Vivas will use any excuse to remove you from his patient list. Miss an appointment and you are gone. Does not fill out FMLA paperwork in order for you to keep appointments without penalty from your employer. Ridiculous for chronic illness

I wish I could rate zero stars. BEWARE!!! Refuses to transfer medical records to primary care. Refuses to take appointments. Open 1 day a week. Question to ask is, did he leave St. Francis Hospital or was he fired.

I have been seeing Dr Vivas since 2013. In the last year i was unable to pay for the visit and blood work. I am in a place where i can handle that now and he refuses to see me. I owe him no money and have never missed an appointment without giving at the least 24 hours notice. I have tried to make an appointment several times in that year and get no response on the phone. when we finally got them on the phone it was you've not been here since last april so i need to see how he wants to do this. Oh and never heard back called the office back two days later in tears and still no answer. I would not recommend him at all. my meds haven't been working for a while like they should and he would just tell me oh this combination is the best one. I have been seeing Dr Vivas since 2013. I have seen 2 doctors in my life I trust and feel that care about me, and Dr Vivas is one on them. I had to pick up my medical records one day for another doctor and cried about the sweet and caring things he wrote. I adore him and his staff. Charlotte is my girl!

I have been a patient of Dr. Vivas for over 10 years. He has always been very professional, courteous, and willing to take time to answer any questions I might have. His office staff is great and I’ve never had any issues with them. They only problem I have is that due to his patient load and the fact that he doesn’t employ a PA it can be difficult to schedule appointments on a timely basis.

I have never experienced anything like this in my life. The nursing staff has you leave multiple messages and never returns the calls. When speaking to the receptionist about being in severe pain and being pregnant and taken off of my medicine it still created no ergancy. I was told lies like "oh the nurse just needs to connect with Dr. Vivas and she will call you back." 4 months later NO calls back. I demanded an emergency appointment and they said they couldn't see me for 5 months. I call every week for a concellation and literally there have been "none" for months...they are very rude when I call and I am in pain. I wish there were more doctor I would be gone tomorrow. My interest sent over my labs with elevated ANA and because I was previously seen by his mentors son, his nurse called and left a VM stating that I didn't have an inflammatory issue! I called his office and was told that he would not see me because of his affiliation. He rather lie about my illness than see a former patient of his mentors son. All he had to do was refer me elsewhere. I am glad this happened because I see how unprofessional he is. If possible go elsewhere!!!!

I saw Dr Vivas about 6 times within a year time frame. He started out being a superb doctor. I then needed for him to help me with my Disability paperwork I was doing for the Federal Govt. I knew I had an appt the following week and submitted paperwork I would need for Him to complete. Since I hadn't seen Him in about 5 months I wrote down what I was experiencing including letting him know the medicine He had given me was causing problems. When I saw Him on day of appointment, he was very moody, uneasy to talk to, very blunt, and I thought this was another doctor I was talking to compared to the other times I had talked with Him. You could tell He was offended by my letter I wrote. He wrote a letter to me and stated He wouldn't help me out instead of telling me to my face. He also tried to finally give me a medicine that He said would finally help me out. Instead, the medicine caused me to have rectal bleeding and this was a symptom of the medicine even though Dr Vivas stated that it wasn't. I pulled the info online under WEBMD. So, I quit seeing Him. Any doctor that makes it seem like You need help with a condition and then when it comes time for You to seek His help in writing a letter for Disability and they don't want to write is also not worth going back to. They don't mind seeing You every month or so to make You think You are needing it but then when it comes time to have them write something up for You, they act like nothing is wrong with You.
