After having moved to El Paso 10 years ago from Houston/Dallas areas I have been disappointed with so so many of my experiences with doctors and staff. The lack of professionalism and customer service, at times has left me in tears thinking that quality healthcare doesn't exist here. Until Dr. Gomez and his staff proved otherwise. Thank You and hats off to you all for hanging in here so long ! I know it must be hard to maintain a quality practice in such and environment as this!God Bless

Dr Gomez is a great doctor,his staff is so inadequately trained! They tend to mess your appointment and then move them up or down timewise. This is the third time they do this,they do not care and it is very inconvenient when you have other things to do! They need a staff that is professional and not staff that only go to make a paycheck!

I had rectal stenosis on 2021 Dr. Gomez and his office manager ; they where very nice, compassionate, professionals. Immediately I was seen by him ; He scheduled me for rectal sphincterotomy!! thanks to God I recovered very well and my problem was resolved! I'm very grateful for all the care that I received from Dr. Gomez and his staff members.

Dr. Gomez is kind and Curtis and takes his time with each patient I would recommend him any time.

My mom got a procedure with Dr. Gomez and he was the sweetest. He made my mom and family feel like she was in very good hands. I took her to her follow up a couple days after and the staff and him were very helpful and kind to my mother. I could not have asked for a better Dr and staff to treat my mom. Thank you so much

Worst experience ever. Dr. Gomez has no clue what he's doing. He will just find anything to operate you and bill you. He has an incompetent staff to go along with this review. Ran me out of his office. For criticizing his staff and his professionalism.

Every visit I've had with Doctor Gomez was very imformational, and he explains everything step by step to where I understood. I have had nothing but great visits with Dr Gomez and I felt he was very compassionate and cares a lot about his patients. Hes by far the best doctor I have ever had. I highly recommend him he knows what hes doing and he does it well beyond measures.

Dr Gomez is great! When coming in for consult staff forgot I even called left me outside for a hour until I called and reminded them I was outside. Coming in for post op they didn’t have me on the schedule and were so rude!

First time post op appointment and all went very well. Starting with staff. Doctor Gomez is awesome! He is very welcoming, knowledgeable and takes his time. My experience was a great one. Would definitely recommend.

After battling right upper quadrant pain for over 8 months Dr. Gomez came to me hospital room and explained my condition and what needs to be done. I trusted him from the first visit. Before surgery and after he made sure I was ok and explained everything again. I would definitely recommend him to care for you or your family.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Gomez to family & friends. First off his Staff is very professional, efficient and kind. Second, Dr. Gomez is an excellent Doctor. Dr. Gomez operated on my father. The colon where he put him back together leaked that same night and was bleeding. He instead everything was fine. We had to get a second opinion a week into his ICU stay, but it was too late. He is a horrible surgeon. Avoid him if you can.

I had a few procedures with Dr. Gomez a few years apart. Each time I was at his office, Dr. Jaime Gomez took the time to listen to my concerns, he made me feel confident that he would find the problem and then took such good care of me and gave me the time and compassion to find resolution. He is so wonderful and compassionate with stellar qualities as a physician that I will tell anyone who is looking for a Gastro or General Surgeon, Jaime Gomez is the BEST. If it was Dr. Gomez by himself he would be rated five-stars. His office staff is terrible as mentioned by another complaint they have better things to do than to take care of their customers. I recommend Dr. Gomez because He truly is a remarkable Surgeon but his staff has to go. Seriously.

Dr. Gomez is very caring and personable ???? That being said, my first impression of the office staff was that they have better things to do. I waited for 45 minutes after I signed in and completed paperwork-I got there early. When got called back, I waited another 30 minutes and the wasn’t set up.

Dr. Gomez was my Dr. when I was in Sierra for a week for a bowel obstruction. He is an amazing physician. He is very kind, thorough, and welcoming.

The worse customer service a doctors office could possibly provide. They never open on time and close almost two hours before they’re supposed to (according to their office hours). Every time I go, I have to call the office so that they can open the doors because the staff is so lazy and they close them. The girl that answered couldn’t even tell me what time they closed so I had to call another number on their business card. Went during my pregnancy with my twins. Suspected gallbladder issues. Waited for HOURS only to be seen for 5 minutes. He listened to my symptoms, immediately said "Yup its your gallbladder." which I believe he only said because I told him that's what I have heard it could be. Then said he wanted to schedule the removal a few weeks after the delivery of my twins. No tests by him, nothing. I never got it removed and the pain I was having has gone away completely. *edited to add info* Now we have learned he prescribed a family member medication for a condition he claimed would work, when this medication doesn't have anything to do with the digestive system. Had vein surgery on both lower extremities about 10 years ago. The surgery was extremely successful. Minimum discomfort, no bleeding, and most of the varicose veins almost disappeared. Im ready to go back and have it done again

Was very worried about my hemorrhoidectomy. I knew the pain that was coming. I have to admit Dr Gomez did an outstanding job. I probably would not do it again but glad I did. I'm glad it's over and I'm a hundred percent better.

Cares more about the payout then his patients. If you hurt his feelings then start looking for a new doctor but first get a copy of your medical records since he wont transfer them to your new doctor.

Not the best experience so far. I waited three hours to be seen for my first appointment. After I got my colonoscopy I got a paper with what look like results. I called the office asking for a call back from the doctor so he can explain the results. A week has gone by, I called back and he's on vacation. I have to wait until the end of August to be seen and get the results of my procedure. In the mean time I will continue to be in pain because patient comfort and satisfaction isn't definitely NOT a priority here. Follow up. My first appointment consisted of a three hour wait with a five minute consultation. He never asked for medical history and instantly pushed for a colonoscopy. I didn't see or hear from him to explain my results. I called the office the day after my procedure and after not hearing back I was told that he went on vacation for three weeks. I made an appointment to see him when he got back. They tried to cancel my appointment because my results were normal when the medical problems still persisted. At my follow up appointment I waited for two hours and when I got mad and questioned him about it he got into an argument with me and began to violate HIPPA by telling me what the medical diagnosis of the patient in the next room and how she was worse off than me. After more words were exchanged he left the room and began shouting about my medical problems and therefore violated HIPPA again. I've never met anyone as unprofessional as him. The receptionist was horrible and disnt know how to do her job and failed to inform me about things i would need to bring to the office as well as failed to inform me that my paperwork i needed for work would take 5-10business days to me able to be filled out... Dr. Gomez is sincere, friendly, and seemingly competent. I've had a few bumps with him and his staff, and I've occasionally had to wait longer than I'd like. Nevertheless, I think he's good at what he does, and he does a decent job listening and explaining. Update: I had an inpatient surgery early 2018 and had a good experience with the procedure and follow ups. He was a pro; his nurse was helpful and nice. I was at Dr. Jaime Gomez's office on several occassions. First time patient for an colonoscopy in 2015. It was my first colonoscopy and expierence with Dr. Gomez. He was so kind and compassionate during the consultation and reassured because I was a bit nervous. He is an incredible doctor with such a fabulous bedside manner and truly cares about me as a patient. I was so impressed with the time and professionalism he gave during each and any visit. A year and a half ago I had an endoscopy with Dr. Gomez. Again he sat down with me and explained with such detail and compassion, he reassured me he would find the problem and i would get answers with resolution quickly and he did! He was the ER doctor on duty when I had my gall bladder attack. After surgery he saw me once in the hospital but sent 2 different doctors to do rounds the next 2 days. No one from his office called to check on me after I was discharged. Wait time in his office for my follow up appointment is 2 hours and counting. Cannot recommend this dr.
