I was actually quite appalled that a medical professional would not know what a 2 step TB test was. I needed a 2 step TB test to get into a graduate program and she would not order this for me. She proceeded to tell me that 2 step TB was not necessary. I let her know that it is a REQUIREMENT to get into any graduate professional program in the nation and she would not hear it. I even showed the evidence and reasoning why a 2 step TB test was necessary vs. a basic skin test but she would not even look at the research. I ended up going to a express clinic in town and they had it done right away.

Dr Benton came highly recommended after reading several reviews. However, my experience was not pleasant. She was quick to cut off any opinion you may have after your own extensive research that was contrary to the treatment she believed would be necessary. In the last few months, I have visited a specialist and undergone extensive testing to prove further my point about a recommended medication she insisted I take. I declined to take the medication so she dismissed me as a patient and told me to find a different physician. Appalling! Are we that afraid of lawsuits that we have no compassion or a heart for patients?

Dr Benton is cordial & knowledgeable. However, I felt as if I were not heard several times. Additionally, Dr Benton performed unnecessary procedures on me to profit her office financially and scarred my body for life under her knife. Also, I asked her if she would be willing to fill out a questionnaire for another office to make a determination on my health and she quickly & flatly refused. Lastly, her office hounded my husband & I to complete tests that were not due for years (colonoscopies). Even after giving people that called from her office information on my colonoscopy several times, they kept bombarding me with calls. I finally had to talk with Dr Benton and give the information to her once again before the calls stopped. Dr Benton charges the maximum, doesn’t do paperwork for her loyal patients and does procedures that could be done simpler & less expensive. I felt like it was about money with her office and am currently looking for a new primary healthcare provider.

I would not recommend her to anyone .very condescending lady made me feel she was better than I . Did nothing for me waste of my time

Love her. She cares and gets to the point.

My family has been seeing Dr. Benton for years and she has always been more than accommodating, forthright with information and provided excellent treatment.

Did not want to look at me because I had no insurance.

Scheduled an annual physical/general check-up. Got a quick Pap smear then rushed out the door. She never listened to my heart, lungs or looked at my throat or ears or anything else. I asked about blood work and was told I could just go to the lab whenever- no discussion of what appropriate tests were reccomended. She was nice but her staff was abrupt and not friendly. Did not leave me confident in treatment
