About Dr. Jagindra N Mangru
Reviews for Dr. Jagindra N Mangru
Wonderful Doctor and his staff. He listens to me, looks at my RA and OA symptom areas then checks the diagnostic tests. He explains everything concerning my conditions. So glad my Niece introduced me to Dr. Mangru.
Very pleased with everything about this office. Dr. Mangru correctly identified what had made me have a C reactive protein of 96, I had been to a different rheumatologist in Alpharetta, an entirely different practice who had simply said I had either PMR or RA and that I would go blind in both eyes This terrified me but Dr. Mangru told me the real problem and put me at ease. Highly recommend him.
I saw Alpana, the NP in Dr Mangru’s office. She was very kind and listened carefully to me describe the symptoms I was experiencing. I had my first office visit right before the Christmas holidays and messaged her several times during the holidays - she responded by the next day and was very helpful and responsive. On my next visit she was very open to my thoughts about which medication to prescribe and took my concerns seriously. She even called me at home later to discuss an alternative medication since I was having reservations. I felt like I was in excellent hands. Also the office staff and nurses were pleasant and efficient.
It is so sad that a patient can be in extreme, excruciating body pain and I called for an appointment TWICE, and both times Jennifer tells me that they donât have appointments until two to three months later!! This is crazy!????. I felt comfortable with Dr. Mangru when he 1st diagnosed me with Rheumatoid Arthritis 4-5 years ago. It sickens me that they canât see me now that I feel it has advanced and I have to find someone else quickly for some type of relief.
I've been seeing Dr. Mangru or his practioner for over a year. Dr. Mangru is gentle when examining my swollen and painful hands and he has gotten me relief for which im thankful. My hands were so stolen and painful I hated to touch anything and couldn't wear my wedding rings. My ring size went up 3 sizes at 1 point now I can wear my rings and their a little big
They don't offer payment plans or help people with financial problems.

Excellent. Took the required test, contact promptly after receiving reults
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERINCED. I have great insurance but started receiving a bill from the lab stating that the doctors "insurance/coding person" was coding the lab as experimental. After speaking with my insurance co, I got in touch with the office asking them to please re-code because I had nothing out of the ordinary done. Front desk lady was nice enough and stated she would get in touch with her billing gal and take care of it after speaking with the Dr. A month later, I received another bill so I called them again and she stated she would speak to the coding/insurance person again and have it re-sent. So, I let it go again until I received a notice from a creditor asking for the balance. I then called the office back and asked why it wasn't taken care of and the front desk lady was extremely combative and rude. Told me she didn't know what to do about it and when I asked for the office manager, told me there wasn't one and there was no insurance person to speak to either. So I asked to speak to the Dr and she put me on with another woman who was also super rude and had NO CLUE how to handle the situation and told me it wasn't their issue and that the issue was with my insurance and the lab? Even though it was about to effect MY credit. After having to get really upset the woman told me she would speak to the Dr and call me back. She did and the Dr stated he would re-code and send it back in. After receiving another letter from the creditor called the office back and they stated they sent the code back but gave me a date that was from the first time they sent in the lab codes. Before calling, I had checked with my insurance and had them check with the lab, NO CODES WERE EVER RE-SENT. The only ones that were sent were from the appointment I had gone to. When I called again to inform them I was going to pay the balance so it didn't go on my credit, the front desk girl could've cared less, didn't say sorry just said we sent it in (and gave me the wrong date AGAIN from the first time it was sent). I asked to speak to the Dr, she said nothing so I asked for the Dr to call me back so he could at least write me a letter of Medical Necessity to get this balance paid or I was going to the Better Business Bureau (or medical board), she was rude and cold and the "Doctor" never called me back. I paid the balance of $200 to keep it off of my credit with ZERO help from this practice. Had the staff and this Dr tried AT ALL, I wouldn't have had to have used that money when I have perfectly good insurance. JUST A HEADS UP BEFORE YOU GO TO THIS PRACTICE. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERINCED. I have great insurance but started receiving a bill from the lab stating that the doctors "insurance/coding person" was coding the lab as experimental. Dr. Mangru was very kind and polite. He patiently listened to my symptoms and examined carefully. He did not prescribe unnecessary tests.I highly recommend him because he showed me what was truly causing me the discomfort in my body.
I have been going to this office for years...Dr M and his staff are kind, very little staff change over. What I like most is being able to advocate for my own health, listened to, and ideas (medications) I have had put into action. They are timely, rarely have to wait for much of anything...in and out in about a hour. Plus for myself the location is good without having to pay for parking.
Dr Mangru is very thorough, kind and informative. He diagnosed my problem with only two visits and has referred me to another doctor for treatment. I also had o good experience with his staff, especially the ladies at the front desk.
Have been going to Dr. Mangru for a year. He is a great doctor with a great staff. From the nurse that does the Lab work; to the front receptionist, I have had a good experience here. Last visit was with Amanda Appling. She is great. She is very thorough and goes above and beyond for my care. She helps me to stay positive and takes whatever time needed to make my care progress. I am very happy with this place.
Dr. Mangru is very skilled and kind. His warm smile makes me feel hopeful. I have been going to him for years but I found out today that he is a Rheumatologist and Internist (He was referred by my Dr. who made the Appt.). No wonder he can treat all of my five auto immune disorders. I will forever be grateful for my quality of life even though I am grumpy at times.
Very knowledgeable and caring.
The receptionist (?) is incredibly kind and welcoming and the nurse that has taken my vitals at my visits has also been incredible. The rest of the office could learn a thing or two from these fabulous women. I have a very extensive and complicated medical history beginning in 1989. I am obviously in a current flare of some sort and came to Mangru seeking help. He did not actually examine me at all, only questioned how I was diagnosed with each previous illness demanding I prove to him my history with records beginning from when I was 3 years old from another state. Shockingly, I did not have 30 years of records on my person at the time. Mind you he had at least 6 months of my current records in front of him. He completely ignored me when I explained my current symptoms which for all we know may have nothing to do with my past. He brought me to tears and just stared at me. I called my mother in Pennsylvania to speak to him as she might have more immediate access to my childhood records than I would and he held the phone inches away from his ear, rolling his eyes. I found my records two days later and sent them to him and brought them in to be copied despite their basic irrelevance to my current situation. I think it is disgusting how he treated me, rather, how he did not treat me at all. He treated me as if I were nothing. I hope he learns to listen to his patients and I suggest he actually perform examinations when in a room with a patient rather than standing by the door skeptically asking about previous diagnoses and demanding the person crying in pain prove themselves to him. By the way, he still has it marked in my chart that my kidney biopsy is questionable of ever happening. Dr Mangru and his staff are very kind and caring, I recommend this place to everyone. They are the best ????
I am seeing Dr. Mangru from last few months and he is really good.
Not only is this Dr. so nice and polite so is EVERYONE that works there, they care about the people, I'm very blessed to have him as my Dr,
I highly recommend Dr. Patel and Dr. Mangru. They have taken very good care of my mothers arthritis. They take their time to explain the condition and medications. My mom is very grateful
Very kind, personable staff. Dr. Mangru and NP Lisa Vargas are wonderful! I have Sjogren's and Psoriatic Arthritis. They are very knowledgeable and eager to help. They are "the BEST"!!
Dr. Mangru is the first doctor to give me an exact diagnosis. He patiently listened to my symptoms and gave me an immediate diagnosis. I had not heard of his diagnosis. But when I looked it up I saw that everyone else's symptoms with this disease where exactly like mine. Other diseases that it might have been; that i researched, were always close and similar, but i never had that moment when the symptoms were exact. I highly recommend him because he showed me what was truly causing me the discomfort in my body. If you are hurting in your body find out what it is. Do not stop until you find the problem. It is very hard dealing with chronic pain. Medications and diet changes will only work if you find the correct diagnosis so that the right medicine and diet change can be chosen. Dr. Mangru and his staff are wonders when it comes to rheumatoid arthritis. I can walk and function thanks to them. After all of these years I am confidant that my condition is under control and well managed. My pain management Dr. helps but Dr. Mangru's treatment plan keeps me stable. I thank God daily for my mobility.
Dr. Mangru saved my life. I have SLE and he is by far the best Lupus doctor in the North GA area. He got me through a very rough pregnancy, kidney failure and heart failure. They always squeeze me in when I am having a flare and he is very patient and kind. His bedside manner can't be beat. I highly recommend him for any auto immune issues. Dr. Mangru saved my life. I will not recommend this dr to anyone in fact I told the office that referred me that they needed to remove him from their list. Because he was just a horrible dr.
Excellent Doctor. I am seeing him for my arthritis.
Dr. Mangru is a very good, kind, patient and thorough doctor, sometimes almost to the point of being frustrating by his thoroughness. Dr. Mangru solved a nerve problem I was experiencing with a supplemental treatment application and the problem was solved in 2014, so there was no need to continue with the visits. Today being 12/2017 I have been experiencing finger/hand complete lockup, so my Primary Care Doctor recommended I go see Dr. Mangru since I was already an existing patient with his office. I agreed and called Dr. Mangru's office and upon giving them my name and DOB, was informed that since I hadn't seen Dr. Mangru since 2014 I was considered a "New Patient" and they didn't have any appointments available for "new patients" at this time, even though they have ALL my information and nothing (including my insurance provider) has changed in 14 years other then me getting older. Needless to say I am both frustrated and dumbfounded in discovering that in order to be considered an existing patient with Dr. Mangru's practice I would of needed to make senseless appointments and visits throughout the past 3 years. I was told this was a company policy and they weren't willing to make any considerations outside of that policy. When I say that my hands are swollen and frozen for no readily or understandable reason, they are just that to which I might add very painful too. I have asked my primary care physician for another doctor other than Dr. Mangru because of this policy. I consider a relationship with a doctor long term and DO NOT appreciate being considered a nonexistent patient simply because the doctor did his job and solved the problem at hand. I don't feel comfortable with this policy therefore I am terminating my relationship with the Mangru practice. Great practice and wonderful office staff everyone is so nice and they helped me get well, I was treated like a person here, i will send my friends and family anytime.
I was referred to Dr. Mangru for some additional testing that turned out to be nothing (thank God), but he was very soft spoken and very patient and understanding. He was very thorough as well, which was comforting for a specialist. I highly recommend Dr. Mangru for any Rheumotology concerns. ????????????????

Keep in mind if you don't visit Mangru on a regular basis you will be deleted from the existing patient list and have to start the process all over again, that is if they will give you an appointment. Very poor company policy.

My internist wanted me seen right away and they made it happen. Very nice staff and Dr. Mangru is excellent. He listened intently to my symptom complex, he had already, in just the couple of days between my internist appointment and my appointment with him, had familiarized himself with my care by the neurologist and internist, and made a plan of action. I was extremely impressed.
I went in for joint pain that I thought could have been issues from a prior severe disease that I had when I was 2(now 25). The disease was a neurological disease. He barely even spoke about the issue that I went in for. took my blood and sent me on my way. He never called me about my test results. I would not recommend this doctor.
Has trouble with the English language and didn't seem to comprehend most of what I was saying
The Doctor and staff all very nice, I felt welcomed and I was well take care of, Dr Mangru took his time to explain everything to me so i could understand, he did not talk over my head. At my follow up I saw the PA Amanda and she was very thorough and very pleasant, she took her time to answer my questions and make sure I understood what she was telling me. This is a great practice!

Dr Mangru and his staff were very caring and helpful with my daughter and a diagnosis of psoriasis. He listened closely to our concerns and did a great job of talking to my daughter at a level she could relate to (rather than a bunch of medical Mumbo jumbo that a teen wouldn't understand). I suffer from a painful rare disease and was referred here by my primary care doctor. This doctor completely ignored everything I said and made me take an expensive blood test that I did not need or want. Humilated me by saying my problems were "insignificant". Ignored emails and requests for referal to a more knowledgeable doctor. This place will only waste your time and money.
I have NEVER been treated so rudely and had a doctor and/or assistant treat me so poorly. No compassion. No patience. Talking back. I am completely and utterly speechless! COMPLETELY unprofessional!!! God forbide you ever find out you have some bad illness or disease and the doctor throws you out like trash, then when I'm speechless of how I was treated the assistant pours salt on the wound by coming put in front of other patients and argues with me and attacks me. Very poor service!

Everybody is wonderful in the office, from the front desk receptionist to the nurse to the blood person. I highly recommend him as he spends time with you to listen and to explain what is going on. I also very much appreciate that he does not prescribe medication unless it's absolutely necessary. Although he is not a pediatric rheumatologist he does seee children and started seeing my daughter when she was 12. there is no rush to get you out and he will spend as much time as necessary.

Dr. Mangru is professional, and informative without being condescending. His staff is quite pleasant, professional, and warm. The woman who is his phlebotomist ( does the blood work) is first rate. Everyone has a good sense of humor which helps a lot!

Dr Mangu took the time to explain in detail my condition in layman terms. He took all appropriate tests and did not minimize my symptoms. I found his nurse to be delightful. When I was anxious about results she got me in early.
The nurse is very rude she rushes people off the phone doesnt call people back and just gives an attitude all the time.

I am a self pay patient and looking for a doctor to help me with fibromyalgia and arthritis in my knees. I was treated very poorly by this practice.... I paid for the appointment with my debit card. The front office double swiped my card and said that the card was declined, loudly in front of the waiting room. I explained that the card was used 2x's. They made me wait and I watched MANY patients go ahead of me. The staff was also very rude.... I heard the front desk lady make the comment to another staff member that "Mrs. X called, AGAIN! Wanting her blood test!" VERY unprofessional. Dr Mangru did not bother to even touch me... He listened to my problems and starred at me like I did not belong there. Never again!
