About Jae Jung
Reviews for Jae Jung
Put simply, if you want your pain issues fixed, Dr Jung is the answer. This practice is high traffic, so there isn’t anything they haven’t seen. Dr Jung is an outstanding doctor, and his team is extremely professional. I wouldn’t want anybody else working on my back, period. 5 stars *****
He and his team (Dr. Wei, Dr. Patel, Monica, etc.) have taken excellent care of me during office visits, and when performing RFA (Radio Frequency Ablation). This procedure significantly reduced my pain levels and enabled me to start physical therapy and become more physically active. Thank you for taking such great care of me.
I have had Doctor Jung for some time and for pain management I will drive several hours for his expertise He is caring and very compassionate with his patients. Over the several years I have never had one complaint. I am always concerned about going to sleep and he reassures me all the time and helps me to be comfortable. What is even better I am without pain for months.
I do not recommend Dr Jung

They are thief"s dressed well . Please do not go there at all , total waste of time. This country suffers because of these medical groups ripping off every one they can . BEWARE OF PRICE GOUGING!!!! My experience with dr. JAE JUNG was terrible! I came in for regular visit, I paid my $40 copay, he first sent in some junior doctor and then he came in and barely spoke with me for 3mn. He then quickly sent me off to his secretary to schedule an injection which I chose not to do. A month later I received a bill for the visit for $1,085!! Just for a five-minute visit! I called UCLA Health and I called his office but I couldn't talk to him, of course... I then sent him a very courteous personal letter to his office asking him about this outrageously overpriced bill but he never answered, of course... My insurance covered part of the bill and I ended up having to pay about $450! This is terrible professional practice on his part, his staff and UCLA Health! Mafia-like people! I have been seeing Dr. Jung over the last two years for epidural injections. I have received epidural injections quarterly at both Santa Monica and Westwood locations. My experience with Dr. Jung is extremely favorable. I find him caring and sensitive to the amount of pain I have. I don’t know what would happen to me if I couldn’t rely on Dr. Jung and his team of professionals to reduce my pain significantly. I would never go to any other physician to handle my pain. Additionally, I find that both in his office and in the hospital he listens and understands me. I have been seeing Dr. Jung over the last two years for epidural injections. He tortured me during an epidural while I screamed for him to stop, which he didn’t. Orthopedic surgeons should not do epidurals. They have minimal training. He left me in worse pain and had the nerve to indicate the procedure went smoothly in the op report. I ended up in the ER from the pain and he wouldn’t answer his page. What happened to Do No Harm? This jerk only cares about money.
Do not see this doctor unless you want to waste time, money and be belittled by a arrogant burn-out. Who in the world would deny treatment of a person, literally crippled by pain from a herniated disc compressing a nerve? How could he mock them and tell them their pain isn't that bad when they are crying in pain and frustration? This guy. Ja Jung is a malpractice in the making. I wouldn't even recommend him to my worst enemies. Do not see this doctor unless you want to waste time, money and be belittled by a arrogant burn-out. My visit with Dr. Jung went terribly. My copay's are quite high, since I came from out of state to get the "wonderful" care from UCLA professionals. I was on a waiting list for over a month to see him. I spent $130 to see him. I arrived and paid me fee first (probably because they know how terrible he is and people have just walked out). Once I was settled into my room I was treated AMAZING by all the kind nurses, assistants, and the fellows. I was evaluated by one of the Fellows and he gave me his opinion and went over my MRI with me, making sure to turn the computer a lot so that I don't see the screen. I was told to put on one of those dreadful blue gowns and wait for the doctor. That is when I saw the fellow. After he left, I waited shortly for Dr. Jung to arrive. He was rude and spoke for maybe all of 4 minutes before he left the room. While talking he mentioned my insurance probably wouldn't cover an MRI on my lower back in almost a gawking fashion (my insurance is from Alabama). Right before he walked out I thought he was going to say nice to meet you, come back this day, or here are your options. However, instead he turned at the door and told me to get dressed and left. Finally, his assistant came in and went over injections and asked if Dr. Jung had explained them. He didn't of course. I told her I would be filing a complaint for the worst service I've ever seen (And I see A LOT of doctors, in multiple states, and frequently). I was there for maybe 30 minutes. I got zero help from "the prestigious UCLA orthopedic surgeon" and spent a half of my paycheck for the week; not the best day of my life. I wish I could give zero stars. I had excellent work done by Dr. Jung. He couldn't have been more caring or professional. Remarkable doctor.
Not quite sure about some of the negative reviews here. Dr. Jung has always been pleasant and listened to my concerns about my back and took them seriously. He has performed injections and has helped a great deal with my L4 herniated disc. I would definitely recommend.
Dr. Jung performed several procedures on me for chronic back pain. With each successive procedure, the pain increased. I was recently admitted into the ER at UCLA with severe back spasms. I phoned Dr. Jung's office while at the ER. His two scripted robots said that Jung could not see me for another three weeks. Meanwhile, Jung had me on calendar for a spinal injection the following week! I'm now walking with a cane. Has this man ever read the Hippocratic oath? Buyer beware.
Jung performed several procedures on my back. The pain increased after each procedure. I was taken to the ER due to the severe pain. Jung's scripted robots told me that he cannot see me for three weeks. He once told me in his office that he'd rather be traveling full time than practicing medicine. Find a doctor that cares. Find a doctor who takes pride in his work. This guy shouldn't be practicing medicine.
I feel very comfortable with Dr. Jung, he is very professional with a relaxed manner, also has a great sense of humor! His office staff are super and smart! Kathy Corso
He very clearly could care less! Most uncaring Doctor I have been to. Left me in the middle of the initial exam and was gone for 20 minutes. I went looking and he was hanging out chatting with colleagues and had clearly forgotten about me. Oh yea, on the second, and last visit, he completely misunderstood the MRI report from the radiologist. What a goof! We nicknamed him Dr. Dung!
