Dr. Jack Elias Kazanjian

Dr. Kazanjian performed the wrong hip surgery on our father who was 93 years old. After the mistake of placing a rod in his hip, we had to make a choice: He can lie on his back for a year and not stand or sit with this hip(which would cause pneumonia and die) or do another surgery to replace the hip with a ball joint/ but he must pull the rod out first. How does this happen???? Our father chose to put the right hip in which of course caused so many other problems with anesthesia, pneumonia, Nasogastric intubation and over a month in the hospital. He could no longer return home because the surgeries caused him to be dependent on people to help with his ADLs and standing. After 5 months my father passed away-Should not be doing surgeries if he cant identify where the brake is to begin with. Would not read my MRI which revealed total tear of shoulder labrum. I am in extreme pain but he would not discuss surgery. Basically I waited 2 weeks to get stretching excersizes that I know are a waste of time. I immediatelty made another appointment elsewhere. Wasted 2 painful weeks waiting for this appointment. Dr. Jack is professional, personable, and efficient while making you feel heard. He educates not only about the orthopedic issue but also current health trends giving the visit a holistic approach. Dr. Jack tends to answer questions before they're asked. He promotes less invasive treatments to solve a problem instead of resorting to surgery, unless warranted. One leaves the office feeling confident that the correct next step is being taken in providing care.

Great experience. I have seen Dr Kazanjian for several issues from a long career in professional sports (Rugby League in the UK) and he has been first class every time. Highly recommended surgeon, great guy all round.

I scheduled an appointment w/ Dr. Kazanjian a couple of weeks ago for a second opinion re: shoulder instability and a near constant ache which has severely impacted my ability to perform day to day functions -- his bed side manner was nonexistent and he had this arrogance about him. I took the time to prepare and bring a medical summary from the original doctor and he refused to look at it. He made me feel like I was wasting his time. Only good thing about this visit is that I feel better about dealing w/ my original ortho team after my experience w/ this doctor. He was the first person I dealt w/ from Premier Ortho and after my visit w/ him, unfortunately, I would never recommend this establishment to any one of my colleagues/friends/family. I scheduled an appointment w/ Dr. Kazanjian a couple of weeks ago for a second opinion re: shoulder instability and a near constant ache which has severely impacted my ability to perform day to day functions -- his bed side manner was nonexistent and he had this arrogance about him. I took the time to prepare and bring a medical summary from the original doctor and he refused to look at it. He made me feel like I was wasting his time. Dr. Kazanjian acted very professional towards me as well as making me feel comfortable and confident in my decision to go to him. I will highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of his service. thank you so much for helping me!

He is the absolute best. He did a right frozen shoulder release some years ago. The surgery and Dr. K. was a winning combination. His ability to get to know his patients, making them feel at ease both pre-procedure and post procedure, along with his procedural honesty and aftercare is bar-none. Doctor Kazanjian repaired my shoulder muscle the past summer. He was great to have and did excellent work> Great to talk with and put me at ease with all that was involved with the surgery.I would reccomend him to anyone and have only positive things to say about the whole experience. And my shoulder feels better than it has in years.

The best. Was initially treated remarkably in hospital in August. Dr. Remembered me at follow up. Was more than kind. Also spent the time to explain everything about my injury & recovery. Also spent some time tendering to some personal issues. I highly recommend#

Dr. Kanzanjian is the best. Performed emergency n complex surgery on my left knee with Cepltic Arthritis. He is kind, patient n understanding. He does not rush you out of his office. I highly recommend him.

Original shoulder injury 25 years ago. New injury, dr. Kazanjian performed the surgery and now I feel better than I have over the last 25 years.

Dr. did a wonderful job repairing a ruptured triceps tendon. Very thorough with exams leading up to surgery. Office visits were on time if not taken a little early. Overall experience with Dr. Kazanjian has been great!

Dr. Kazanjian repaired my rotator cuff and other difficulties in my shoulder. He was courteous and professional and I found his work to be spot on. Timetables he gave were right on and he showed so much enthusiasm with the progression. I would go back (hope I never have to) as I have a lot of faith in his skills.

Dr Kazanjian performed total replacement of my left shoulder 2 years ago. Prior to surgery I was in constant pain from osteoarthritis. I couldn't lift my left arm more then about 10 inches and that was painful. Joint injections brought me no relief. Dr Kazanjian operated on my shoulder and I had no post op pain at all. I had to go to physical therapy and work hard to regain range of motion but I got there and I am pain free. I would highly recommend Dr Kazanjian to anyone suffering from pain.

Excellent doctor.

He walked in the door speaking at me using medical jargon. Without looking at me, my records, my scans or asking me what was going on, he proceeded to "diagnose" me with a "frozen shoulder". Barely did an assessment-had to ask him to check the xrays and forced my PMH on him to have him check them. Shows changes and I need an MRI-which I would NOT have had if I did not push him. Having my MRI and then going somewhere else! He was awful-very poor bedside manner.

Dr K is the best

I was referred to Dr. Kazanjian by several friends, I needed to have surgery on my left shoulder,and I wasn’t looking forward to it....I had surgery on my right shoulder several years earlier although the surgery went well the Dr needed to take a course on humility. I scheduled an appointment with Dr Kazanjian met with him, and I Knew he was for me. I was back to work within three months couldn’t be happier. And if your looking for a Dr that truly loves his profession.....look no further

I am very impressed with the professionalism of the staff from the first call down to my last visit. Dr. Jack Kazanjian has a well wealth of knowledge and has assisted me to get back to being an active adult. Outstanding doctor and patient interaction. He had created a plan that enabled me to work and get my therapy in. I am very appreciative for your service. Very good doctor. But, don't expect your phone calls to be returned promptly. Keep trying, and maybe your or your physical therapist will get a reply!! Office isn't the most easily accessible for wheel chairs.

Dr. Kazanjian is an excellent doctor. He is strict and very honest. He will always give you an honest answer regardless of what you want to hear. But he does it with compassion. I had the wrong idea about him at first but as you get to know him, you understand that it is all part of his focus and game plan. I also have a personal connection because his late brother and I have the same name. Dr. Kazanjian is a 10-STAR over 5. He is highly recommended.

Dr. Kazanjian was extremely thorough and decisive with his diagnosis. I underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum as well as a biceps tenodesis. The surgery was 100% successful and I'm back to 100%. His recovery plan is very concrete and if you follow it, you'll make a quick and complete recovery. The office hours are a bit tight to try and call them. I was never able to talk to someone when I called. I always waited for a call back hence the three stars for appointments.

I am a 70 year old woman who shattered my elbow in a fall 6 months ago. I asked the ER PA at Lankenau who was the best for elbows. He without hesitation said see Dr Jack Kazanjian. He's the best. From the moment I entered the office, the staff was comforting and kind. Dr Kazanjian was kind, knowledgable and full of positive energy. First let me say that Dr.Kazanjian and his entire staff are amazing. Dr.K replaced my radial head in my right arm and throughout my entire procedure he's been very professional and kept me well informed. MY surgery went very well and my arm is feeling great. I would highly recommend Dr. Kazanjian. He surgically repaired my torn rotator cuff and after three months my progress has been amazing. He explains everything thoroughly before and after surgery and has an excellent demeanor and bed-side manner. Most importantly, my shoulder repair has been a total success and I have no pain already.

this review is long overdue. Dr Kazanjian and his staff are wonderful. He repaired my torn rotator cuff. What can I say? He is a great doctor, explained everything to me, made my family feel comfortable during my surgery admission to the hospital and I am pleased that I picked him as my surgeon. I would take any family member or friend to him and if I ever have an orthopedic issue, he will always be my go to guy!!!

This is how I feel and my opinion, only 6-7 months after surgery. I am very pleased with the end results of surgery and therapy to a very badly torn rotator cuff. No more PAIN and SUFFERING! I can sleep at night again! I have more mobility and strength than we had expected, almost 100%, but that's also due to my hard work and LISTENING and DOING what Dr. Kazanjian to old me to do. He is The Man!!. Go see him!!

No BS. He's to the point, he's straightforward and he doesn't sugarcoat, which I can't stand. I just want the reasonable and expected outcome, and that's what you get. He knows what he's doing, he's got a memory like a steel trap and I trusted him at every step.
