Dr. James G. Rula is incredible, the absolute "BEST" surgeon!! It's very rare finding a doctor that cares for their patients like he does and provides such an outstanding quality of medical care. He's very understanding, takes the time to listen to your concerns and the time to explain. He truly cares about his patients, I cannot stress this enough. I've had multiple surgeries and while surgery is always scary. His confidence and ability readily puts me at ease. I trust him 100 percent. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a specialist. You will "NEVER" find better!!

Wonderful Doctor!

Recently, Dr. Rula, from the Advanced Surgical Associates practice in Mesa, operated on my husband. The entire experience was excellent. Dr. Rula's frank discussion about the operation and subsequent recovery eased our concerns and prepared us thoroughly. We especially appreciate Dr. Rula's easy communication; ability to answer questions clearly and succinctly; and his gentle sense of humor. The Center for Advanced Surgery in Gilbert, where William underwent surgery, is user-friendly for both patients and family members. Finally, thanks to Dr. Rula's deft surgical hand and vast experience, William's incision is healing beautifully. Two weeks out from the operation, Dr. Rula discharged William. In spite of that, and for a long time going forward, I am certain that William and I will cherish the professional bond and kindness that Dr. Rula and his staff blessed us with.

Had a difficult hernia surgery, good job! Feel great!

Dr Rula is very professional in his approaches and his knowledge is with out exception. Very courteous, nice and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend DR Rula for any concerns you might have.

Dr. Greg Rula and his team did an amazing job on my surgery and recovery. I was really nervous about my first surgery, but everyone was very nice to me and really helped to put my mind at ease. He did very well making sure my surgery went smoothly and I could not have gotten a better surgeon then Dr. Rula. Thank you everyone who made this happen.

Dr. Rula has operated on two of my sisters, my wife, and most recently ( March 2018) he removed my thyroid. He also consulted with my mother (83) for a hiatal hernia and utimately recommended/choose not to move forward with surgery at that time, however, if surgery is eminent Dr. Rula will be her surgeon. He is our goto doc, he is honest, strait forward and highly recommended.

Dr Rula does a wonderful job at explaining your condition, the procedure/surgery (if needed), and your treatment options.

Just got a thyroidectomy from Dr. Rula and could not be happier with the results. Relatively little post-op pain, small incision, and it looks like I'll be back to normal in no time.

Dr. Rula is an outstanding physician. He took the time to explain all of our options regarding my son's appendicitis. Removing the appendix is default treatment, however there have been studies that treatment with antibiotics has been successful in certain cases and Dr. Rula gave us that as an option due to my son's particular case.
