Dr. LaMotta did a wonderful job on my back surgery and got rid of my pain. He was very patient with me in answering questions and showed kindness, something you do not find very often these days. I am thankful he was my surgeon. His PA, Troy was also very kind and helpful.

Prior to surgery, I prayed that I would be led to the right surgeon. There is no doubt that I got the best! Dr. LaMotta is extremely skilled, takes time to answer questions, and has a very pleasant demeanor. He has earned my highest praise and recommendations.

Office was extremely busy, so I did have to wait a while. However, you could tell that everyone was hustling to take care of the patients. The staff was so friendly. Dr. Lamatto was very nice and knowledgeable. He discussed his plans foe my treatment and made sure that he answered any questions that I had. He seemed genuinely interested in my case. I am glad that I was referred to him!

Dr. LaMotta is fantastic. When I first saw him, I could hardly walk. After two surgeries, I'm almost as good as new. I'm very thankful we have doctors like him in Columbia.

Had a great first time experience at this office. The staff was friendly, the wait time was minimal and Dr. Lamotta was very good at explaining detail to my personal situation . Would definitely recommend.

Dr Lamotta always takes his time doing an examination of my issue(s). He takes time to answer my questions. He’s friendly, patient, kind and caring even though he’s very busy. He has also performed an ACDF to which I’ve had no issues with. Highly recommend.

Dr. LaMotta has been incredible. I suffered nearly debilitating sciatic pain. He was thorough and conservative in his diagnostic and treatment approach and as such he ordered physical therapy, which did not alleviate the pain (but, I did become more flexible and stronger) followed by steroid injections, which, unfortunately, were also ineffective. At this point imaging studies revealed the need for surgery. He was very optimistic and offered that he felt that there was a very good chance that the surgery would provide measurable relief. I awoke from surgery with 100 percent relief. Of course I had incisional pain and stiffness after surgery, but that would be expected with any surgical procedure. Dr Lamotta took his time to go over all my questions. He was very friendly and patient. He made sure there was not anything more I wanted to discuss before completing my appointment. Highly Recommend!

Dr. Lamotta is very professional. He listens and explains options. He is very responsive to my needs.

After waiting nearly an hour and a half for my appt (there's always a long wait), I discovered that Dr Lamotta is THE most unsympathetic, insensitive, disrespectful, condescending, arrogant doctor EVER!! Treated me with such disgust. Very weird. I simply cannot believe the great ratings on his reviews. Clearly, he hires someone to write them.

I came in thinking I was not going to be able to go on my trip that was planned but Dr. Lamotta and his medical team got me in, sent me to x-ray and reviewed the films/results with me, my wait time was minimal and I was reassured that we could take care of this with no problems, my prescriptions were sent to my pharmacy and I was feeling better by the next morning. Thank you for getting me taken care of so quickly

My visit with LaMotta was fine today. I was hoping to get answers but he isn't satisfied until he covers all areas. He is a very skilled, caring doctor! I do not mind returning because I know that what he tells me will be true!

Dr. Lamotta and the entire Midland Orthopedic and Neurosurgery staff are fantastic. He is a very understanding surgeon and listens to your concerns. If I could give 0 stars I would. He is a rude doctor … I drove almost 2 hours to come to his doctors office just for him to rudely come in the for 5 mins & say what he had to say & not explain to me what exactly he was saying.

Sit and wait for over an hour to only be able to discuss your own personal important health concerns for 5 minutes before he gives you a sheet a paper and tells you to check out. No details about future care, doesn’t allow enough time to completely ask questions that will make patients feel comfortable about new findings or to answer more than one question before he ready to leave the room. Things are rushed and I have to keep calling asking for things that could have been taking care of while I was in the office. Making sure I was comfortable and knowledgeable about my condition was not priority. If I didn’t need his authorization I would have not even came in! Very satisfied with all procedures, surgery and visits at Midlands Orthopedic with Dr. LaMotta. Would recommend this facility and Dr. LaMotta to family and friends.

Very professional! He took the time to fully look at all of my MRIs and x-rays and made a very detailed analysis of my condition. He understood that this is life changing when you have an injury of this type. I would definitely return if I ever need any kind of treatment!

I like honesty. If I’m told something and the DOCTOR tells the staff another story I can’t trust them. You have to trust your Physician.he doesn’t spend three minutes with me and I feel like he makes a mockery of me especially when he misinformed me.

Being able to check in from home was nice. The wait was not long and Dr. LaMatta was very nice and professional. He explained everything to me where I could understand it.

Dr. Lamott is very professional, but at the same time has time to seat and talk to you. If you have any questions He will take time and answer all you questions and clear all you worries. I will highly recommend Him.

His bedside manner seriously leaves a lot to be desired. I understand he’s not here to be friends with his patients but a little kindness and empathy to someone he’s treating isn’t that much to ask. Definitely has a better than thou attitude.

Dr. Lamotta got at the root of the problem and I am now out of pain. It will come back but we now know where to put the shot to get out of pain. Which is a good feeling. ????

I was quite happy with my experience at Midlands Orthopaedics and my new Dr was quite knowledgeable, thorough and told me what my problem is in plain English. I had very little waiting time both in the waiting area and the exam room.

Thank You Dr Lamotta for the surgery you performed on me. When we first met I could not walk on my own but afterwards and time to heal. I am doing a whole lot better walking without a cane

Dr. LaMotta is perfectly capable but should work on his bedside manner. He can be insensitive and tone deaf in relaying his recommendations, all with a smile on his face.

Dr. Lamatta listened to what I had already tried in the way of therapeutic remedies and explained that I would be a good candidate for an outpatient procedure. I like that he was realistic in his responses to my questions. I would have liked to have spent a little more time with him discussing things in more detail, but after the paperwork was filled out it ate into my time. I was referred to Dr. LaMotta, due to excruciating pain in my cervical spine, caused by a prior football injury. He did a very thorough eval and ultimately recommended a surgical procedure. Of course, I was immediately apprehensive of surgery. However, he took the time to explain to me exactly what he was going to do and, if all went well, what I could expect. My husband was referred to you by his aunt who has had amazing results following surgery by Dr. LaMotta. It was easy to get an appointment and looking forward to his treatment.

Dr. LaMotta implanted titanium perfectly between my C-5 and C-6 after a year of terrible pain, agony, and sleep loss. He did such a great job, I didn't have to take the strong but a few days. I highly recommend other people to have the surgery with him, if you are considering it!

Dr. LaMotta preformed neck surgery on me in July of 2019. He is very professional, very knowledgeable in his field, explains everything in great detail, he makes sure you understand before the surgery. He demonstrated amazing bedside manners, my family were impressed. After surgery and during recuperation he and his office were very helpful. I went to the Midlands Orthopedic after-hours clinic on the first day after the holidays, and received prompt, courteous, and professional attention. Dr. LaMotta performed the necessary diagnostics, and had me scheduled for a surgical consult the next morning.

Awesome, caring and skilled

I have not had any relief from Dr.Lamatto. I do not feel that he listens to me or can read the MRI correctly. Severe pain since the beginning of December with no relief. The other doctors at Midlands have been superb at fixing problems.

Sir, for the most part I can say that since going to therapy my back is about 70% better, however, my lower lumbar on its left side is still in deep pain and nothing, thus far, is giving me any relief so again I ask you what can be done to get rid of this pain and fix the problem? I need some type of remedy to get rid of this pain and again nothing seems to be working and all the medication in the world only Band-Aids the problem for just a little while... Dr. LaMotta knew my ex and suggested PT which has helped alleviate hip pain. Also steroid in thumb helped.

Dr LaMotta has always been available when I needed to see him and has helped me tremendously. I think he’s the best and I highly, highly recommend him.

Dr LaMotta performed my back surgery to remove a build up of arthritis. The surgery was very successful and I no longer experience back pain when walking or doing routine household chores. I am truly thankful for the care received from Dr LaMotta and the staff at Midlands Orthopedics!

I recently went to Midlands Orthopedics and saw Dr Ivan LaMotta. When I first walked in I saw that the office was immaculate. The staff greeted me as I walked in. They helped me to fill out my paperwork and since I walk with a cane,they didn't want me to get up and take my paperwork back to them. They came to me and got the paperwork from me! One if the staff even came to me because I couldn't see some of the questions and sat down next to me and read the questions to me! I was so amazed because I never had that happen to me. The staff went over and beyond to help me and make my experience comfortable. I then went to see Dr LaMotta. He was so nice to me. I have been seeing Dr. Lamotta for about a year now. He is a wonderful doctor and surgeon. He has a great bedside manner, he is patient and really listens when you talk to him, and most importantly he successfully alleviated my pain. If you have the misfortune of finding out how delicate and important your spine is, you want this guy to fix it. I highly recommend him. I have always had great experiences at Midland's with all the doctors who have provided medical service to me. Dr. LaMotta has previously preformed a three level fusion on my neck and a three level fusion on my lower back. He has a great attitude and is a great surgeon. I trust him.
